A hint of worry creased his brow as he walked over. Without a word, he slipped off his jacket and draped it around her shoulders.
She shivered slightly as the warmth of the leather settled around her, looking up with a brief, questioning glance. She blinked up at him, but quickly refocused on the task at hand.
"Who is it? Is it… the one we suspected?" Her voice shook slightly, a blend of disbelief and bitterness. "Can't believe they took the bait so easily."
"Let's go inside first. It's a bit chilly out here," he said softly, not bothering to hide the concern in his tone. Her gaze lingered on him a moment longer, softened a bit, and she nodded. Jess, taking in the moment, raised an eyebrow at Nia and couldn't resist a sly chuckle.
