The twisted morality during the end!

<p>As they were just about to scream and celebrate those words roars could be heard from outside the building making them all calm down as some went to the windows or looked around corners to see if the zombies made it in the wire fence around the abandoned warehouse luckily the zombies were only walking around dazedly it seems the noise attracted them here but it wasn't too much so they can pin point where so they just waddled around the area as they made sure no zombie got into the fence they made they're way back to the campfire and just looked at each other the men were clearly different they gave off a vibe that they all wanted to live now and had a purpose they looked reborn "so what do we do now?" Said a young man looking to be around 19 he looks to be like an unfortunate soldier that just got out of training and thrown in hell as those words broke the silence the men just looked at Benjamin they had trust in him as he saved all of them and he was the one that generally made decisions so he was theyre leader Benjamin didn't speak but just took out a letter from his chest and gave it to the nearest person to read as the person read the letter and flipped the paper his face could be seen to be confused as he passed the paper to another man as this went on for minutes as everyone read the letter everyone also had a confused face, finally someone broke the silence it was the same young man who doesn't look all that young due to the stress of the situation "why didn't they tell the masses instead of writhing these letters?" Said the man as Benjamin just sighed and said "it's impossible imagine the money it would take to just give all the homeless veterans this letter in every corner of the country, and it's very clear what the masses would do once they knew this information they would loot and kill not listening to authority which would accelerate the fall of cities after all we've all seen what those people do it won't surprise me if they would eat each other if they run out of food" said Benjamin with a helpless tone he didn't want to see all this death but hell creates demons afterall if they didn't have strong morales they would probably be demons themselfs everyone also nodded as the young man in particular looked pained as if he remembered something tragic and started looking behind himself "can someone take him to a silent room and talk to him" said Benjamin as he sighed a man escorted the young man away as Benjamin said "truly tragic to be betrayed by the people he swore to protect now he is the only surviving member of his squad" said Benjamin in sorrow remembering the young man's situation everyone of them had a similar situation "anyway I don't know where this commander Alex guy is at but he gave a way to survive to vulnerable veterans like me he is likely a man with a plan and a future for mankind and I'm going into the history books of the next generation how about y'all" said Benjamin as the 5 homeless veterans stood with him the soldiers only saluted as Benjamin also saluted and said "glory the mankind" as the men repeated after him "glory to mankind" but in a very low tone not trying to draw in the zombies<br/><br/>Present day, Alex wasnt oblivious towards the fall of the big cities even cities with 500k population couldn't hold out for long he could only rejoice that Appleton only have about 70,000 population so the cities were yet to be crowded and the military is yet to be overwhelmed, at this moment alex, John and the 34 captains were in the basement Alex could be seen fully kited out as he gave out orders "I will be heading out to the largest hospital I will be stopping at a hospital along the way I will choose two squads to come with me, Otto will lead his squad and another into a factory around here John will explain" said Alex as John started speaking "close by here is a clothing factory it was used by an arms company to customize equipment and ship out fast these equipments are ours so you will go in a retrieval operation but if there is any workers in that factory you are allowed to rescue them but remember the first procedures" said John the first procedures was a way to basically make sure your safe it consist of taking all weapons and checking for bites, as Alex chose the squads going with him he let them go to inform they're squads so they can get ready as they had to defend the gated community when he is gone more than 30 mins later Alex could be seen in a cdc truck as he was driven out the community in a convoy of 3 cdc trucks into the direction of Appleton as they drove on the lonely rural road they could see the tall buildings of Appleton from here as they drove something caught Alex's eye it was a tattoo shop it looked abandoned as he thought of something Alex ordered the convoy to stop infront the shop which was the only building around it had its own parking lot that had 3 cars as Alex looked at the building from inside the truck he couldn't help but notice it was a two story building the cars on the front made it look suspicious either people were hiding here or there were zombies either way he wanted something from here "zzz…everyone wear your gas masks I want that tattoo shop cleared beware of zombies and survivors don't let your guard down over…zzz" said Alex as he heard from his radio "zzz…copy..zzz" as Alex heard everyone he put on his gas mask</p>
