We stood a little longer on the shore of the lake, eating the cake and drinking some juice. The fishing rod my mother had set up started to move, and we both got up and ran towards it to catch the fish. When she began to turn the pulley, I pulled a bucket of water so it wouldn't die. My mother arrived with a big fish in her arms and put it in the bowl. Her blouse was completely soaked, and her hair was in disarray.
- Shall we take it to Mrs Lilly. - I said as I squatted down to take a closer look.
- Yes, baby. We always bring her what we catch. - She shook out her blouse a little and let her hair down to put it back in a ponytail because there were a few strands of curls that had escaped.
- What time is it? - I looked up and could see that the sun was beginning to set.
-It's late. We must leave now if we want to arrive to see the others continue with your party. - I looked at my mother, who was starting to put things away and went to her to help her tidy up.
