Lucas was behind. His eye were fastened on her legs and this made Laurel self conscious. She used her right left to cover her left. Slowly, Lucas trailed her body and settled at her eyes.

'He-he's your brother? How old are you?" Laurel almost slapped herself for stuttering.

Luciana smiled. It was then she could see the braces. She was still wet behind her ears! 'I will be eighteen this week. Lest I forget, I am inviting you to my birthday party. You must be there." She urged, pouting and looking at Lucas for approval.

Yet, Laurel wondered why he slapped her. Maybe she would ask Luciana when they were alone.

She never got the chance.

'I am going home now. Make sure you are there for my party." She looked at Lucas for approval again but got none.

Wait, she was leaving?! It was too soon. Laurel didn't even know where he older woman went to. What is going on with this household?

'Alright Lu. Time to go." Lucas called, moving towards the door.
