1. Broken Glass

she was walking alone along the seashore. it was getting darker and darker, suddenly she heard a familiar voice from behind.

it was her ex fiance Edward.

Maria was a lonely girl in her twenties. she lost her mother when she was young. Her father hated her. Her father was a business man who lived abroad with his second wife and children.

she was shocked when she heard Edward's voice. Tears started rolling down her rosy cheeks.

" I am here to claim you back "said Edward.

Maria held him by his collar and said " you have no right to claim me".

she rushed back into her farmhouse. she opened the door of her room furiously, a vase fell down and she screamed. Her foot started bleeding .she was not able to move when Edward came and carried her into his arms. He took off her shoe and started treating her wound.

she was looking at him with love in her eyes. she took a glimpse of his enchanting looks. He was same as before.

Someone opened the door abruptly, it was her best friend Alex.

"What are you doing here, you have the nerve to show your face after what you did to Maria."said Alex.

Alex threw Edward away with all his might.

Maria tried to stop Alex.

"I will come again " said Edward.

"You still have feelings for guy after after what he did." Maria remained silent and watched Edward go back on his bike from the window.

"what happened to your foot ?"asked Alex.

" Nothing to worry about, it is small injury." she replied. " I think you should also get going , it's getting dark. "
