Chapter 79 (THE END)

Asher's Point Of View

My heart was pounding in my chest and I took deep breaths to calm it down.

“Nervous?” Theo chuckled, placing a hand on my shoulder as we stared down the beautifully decorated aisle where Cirilla would be coming through any minute from now.

“Nope,” I lied, my heart in complete chaos as I tried to steady my breathing.

“Sure he is,” Wren voiced coldly, “He's a second from losing his shit,”

I fought the urge to glare at him. “Get out of my head, demon,” My eyes remained fixed on the blank evening air.

“Relax man! Just take a deep breath otherwise at the rate you'll end up having a heart attack the second you see her,” Stefan whispered from my left, and I couldn't tell if that was a warning or a piece of advice.

“Enough, all of you. You're being too loud,” I refrained from shouting, keeping my voice low instead, and wondering why I chose all three of them to be my groomsmen. I should have gone with Daryl, Andy, and Cory instead.

‘They are right though. Tune it down a little, human! We are getting married not going on a war,’ Azalea sounded annoyed but I could almost feel the underlying smile in his words.

‘Your nervousness is making me anxious,’ Ryker said.

I took another deep breath, glancing around the large field behind the pack house that had been decorated beautifully for today. We had wanted to make use of the hall instead but it wasn't big enough to have over a hundred guests. The place had been transformed into a beautiful garden. This was all Lyra's doing. What a little miss perfectionist. I shot a glance at Stefan. He sure was one lucky wolf.

My eyes shifted back to the large crowd of supernaturals who came to witness this moment with us and share in our happiness.

Suddenly, the crowd stood and the aroma of baked vanilla cookies and fresh roses filled the air. And I looked up to see my beautiful mate, strutting towards me, her hand resting on the arm of King Cameron.

The world suddenly faded away as our eyes locked. There was music playing in the background but all I could hear was the sound of my pounding heart, beating only for her. My lover, my mate, and my soon-to-be Luna.

All I could feel was an overpowering love for the woman looking back at me. She was stunning, in her beautiful strapless white princess ball dress with white and gold lace and sequins and a long train following her wake.

She smiled at me, the sparkle in her eyes igniting fire in my bones.

“I'm so happy for you bro,” Theo whispered, “She's beautiful. You got lucky with the best, Ash,”

I absentmindedly nodded, as I felt something moist roll down my cheek and Stefan handed me a handkerchief to wipe my tears away.

I reached my hand for hers when she was a foot away. Sparks flew as her delicate hand fell on mine.

“I am so happy for the both of you, son. I'm giving you my precious little girl. Take care of her. Love her and protect her,” Cameron said, holding back tears.

I fought back tears of my own. “I will. I make this promise to you,”

He smiled calmly, kissing Cirilla on the cheek, and walked off to where Aunt Davina was, pulling her into his arms.

“You look stunning, princess,” I whispered in her ears, interlocking my fingers with hers and turning around to give the elders our attention.

Elder Phillip stepped forward, smiling down at us. “We have gathered here as One, bound together by the sun and moon…”

I stopped listening, getting lost in the blue of my mate's eyes. She was truly beautiful. I didn't know how long I had zoned out, but I snapped back to reality at Cirilla's chuckles and Stefan's nudging.

I swerved to him and he handed me the ring and I slipped it on her finger, sealing my love with my promise. “I, Asher Cohen, promise to love, respect, and cherish you as my Luna and as my mate. In You, I've found something I never dated to dream of. A love so pure and powerful. Before I met you it had always been you. You are my everything. My life itself and I make this promise to you. No matter the circumstances, I will always be by your side.m because you are my home. My peace, princess. I love you always in this life and forever beyond,”

Tears filled her eyes and I quickly wiped them all away.

She picked up her ring, slipping it on my finger. “I, Cirilla Donnelly, promise to love, respect, and cherish you as my Alpha and my mate. From the first day I met you, you've been the bigger pain in the ass,” She chuckled and I laughed, her voice quivering as continued. “Before you I was broken, completely lost, and had no idea who I was or what I was meant to be. Meeting you was unexpected, but I'm grateful for the day we crossed paths because I can't imagine how my life would have turned out if you didn't show up just when you did. You are my love and happiness and I promise to work hard for you. I love you, Asher. I always will,”

“By the power vested in me by the Moon, and the goddess, I join these two souls, uniting them as one just as the Moon goddess has fated them to be,” Elder Phillip said, his eyes twitching from my mate and me with smiles. “I wish both of you all the happiness there is. You may now kiss your Luna, Alpha,”

I didn't need to be told twice.

The crowd cheered as I wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her soft body against mine and I kissed her.

Cirilla's Point Of View

I stretched my limbs in the enormous king-sized bed with a smile plastered on my face. This was how I woke up every day now in total happiness. I turned around, getting an exquisite view of Asher's face inches from mine. He was incredibly handsome even when he was sleeping. I couldn't stop myself from reaching for his rich silken hair and running my hands through its softness.

I smiled as he stirred in his sleep, his arm reached over my body possessively, pulling me into him while he nuzzled his face into my neck, breathing me in.

“Get off me you beast,” I laughed, trying to get his weight off me but he didn't budge an inch but instead assaulted my neck with kisses, chuckling.

“That's not what you were saying last night princess. If I remember correctly, you were crying out my name begging me not to stop,” He chuckled again and I hit his shoulder, fighting a naughty smile.

I pushed him hard, rolling him over hoisting myself on top of him, and sitting on him in a straddling position.

“Don't tell me you are already amped for another round?” He raised an amused brow, teasing me.

I laughed and slapped his firm chest. “No, you wish. Hope you had enough fun last night because you are not getting any action for the rest of today,”

I got off him before he could say a word, grabbing one of his tee shirts on the couch. Asher came off the bed, and walked to me, pressing his big cock to my back.

I moaned at the contact and I could feel his smile against my neck as he wrapped his hands around my waist.

“Your body drives me insane,”

“Well, you have to keep a lid on it throughout the day,”

“Maybe we could go another round before—”

I swerved to him, clasping my hands around his neck. “Do you really want to die today at the hands of a young Alpha who would be flying across the continent?” I asked seriously, and Asher shut his eyes, resting his head against mine. I smiled at his reaction. “I thought so. If we don't want Theo to murder us both for being late, we should get going,”

He kissed the top of my nose and sighed. “Fine. Hurry and hide this sexy boy from me before the animal in me loses control,”

I laughed and quickly put on his shirt before we hurried inside the bathroom for a quick shower. Soon we were out and got dressed.

“You ready?” Asher pulled me into his arms, kissing the top of my head, and as I nodded, his eyes glowed brightly as he stretched out a finger, and instantly a portal cracked open and the air.

As we stepped through the portal, it led us to the front of the bar in Crescent Moon Pack in New Orleans.

We stepped into the bar, and to my surprise, Stefan, Lyra, Julia, Niko, Dorian, Wren, Cory, and Andy were there already with the small group of Elite warriors who would be leaving for Russia today on a mission given by the inner court of werewolves which Theo was in charge of.

“Thought you might never show up,” Theo said with a smile, pulling me in for a hug. His tall and large frame completely swallowed me. Sometimes I forget he was younger than me and I don't know how I'd survive without seeing them for a long time, all of them, including Dorian and Julia. They would be going with the Elite team to Russia to handle the Alpha Nazar Vadim situation and the growing threats of the human hunters to our kind.

“Okay, gather up lads!” Louis shouted from over the counter and all of us moved closer. “This isn't your regular. It's quite a sentimental mix so as you gulp it down, please try not to tear up, I know you will all miss me,” He muttered, as he placed a tray of drinks on the counter.

“Seriously Louis, isn't it too early for this?” Shirley rolled her eyes, pushing out a seat.

“Come on, it's going to be a long time before we gather like this together, let me have this alright?” He said, picking up a glass of drink.

“I'm with you brother,” Carl picked up his, falling into one of the chairs, and Kayla picked up hers too, falling on Carl's lap.

I picked mine, and so did Asher and Theo. One after the other, Wren, Daryl, Stefan, Eric, Dorian, Julia, Niko, Amy, Cory, Enzo, Lyra, Andy Malia, and Shirley picked theirs.

“What are we toasting to?” Julia raised a brow.

“To finding sexy as fuck girls in Russia,” Louis raised his glass.

“What the fuck! Shouldn't we raise a toast instead to I don't know… maybe something we are grateful for —” Before Amy could get her words out, Louis shot her a playful glare.

“Why can't you let me have this Amy, I'm being quite emotional here—” Louis started but Malia cut him off.

“Okay, we get it, Louis. Let's just drink up,” Malia bit out, chugging her drink down in one gulp.

“To finding sexy as fuck girls in Russia!” Eric muttered lastly as we all gulped down our drinks, bursting out in laughter.

We hung out together for the rest of the day until it was dusk, and with a smile on my lips, but unshed tears in my eyes, we said our goodbyes and I watched them drive off in separate cars to the airport.

Truth be told, I would miss Theo so much, including Dorian and Julia. But Asher reminded me we could always walk through a portal and pop in to see them in Russia.

I knew that too. I guess I was just being overly emotional. But regardless, I wished every one of them the very best. And I hoped Theo and others would find their mate soon.

“So…” Asher leaned down and picked me on the lips, pulling my body tight against his.

“So?” I leaned into his embrace, raising a brow.

“It's just you and I,” He mused, smiling. “And a long evening to ourselves,”

“True, so what do you have in mind,” I teased, wrapping my arms around his middle.

“Go on a date with me?”

My eyes widened in surprise, and my smile broadened. “A date?”

“Yes, a date. Tonight. I just realized that I have never taken you out on a proper date. Just the two of us. So will you go on a date with me tonight? Please?” He said with a sparkle in his eyes, making me chuckle.

“Since you're begging so earnestly, then yes my alpha. I will go on a date with you,” I pecked his lips, about to pull away but instead, he held me closer, pulling me into one wild, blissful kiss.

Asher's Point Of View

“Can't we just take a car like any normal couple?” Cirilla asked for the umpteenth time this evening.

“Not tonight princess. Besides, we are not like any normal couple,” I winked at her, making her cheeks flush pink.

“Fine,” She ran her hands down her dress. She was wearing a beautiful black lace evening dress that flared from her waist, having a long slit in front that showed off her thighs. “Do I look nice enough?” She asked, as her eyes came up to find me.

“You’re a sight for sore eyes,” I whispered as I took her hand in mine, kissing the back of her hand. “You look perfect, princess,”

“Okay, I'm ready,” She sighed, smiling. “Where are we going?”

“You'll find out soon,” I took a step closer until we were a breath apart, and I could feel the softness of her body pressed up against mine. “Close your eyes, princess,”

“Ooh… so mysterious,” She teased, but closed her eyes and I opened a portal, holding her hand in mine.

I guided her a few steps through the portal until we were standing exactly where we were supposed to be.

“Now you can open,” I whispered into her ear, and instantly, her eyes snapped open.

A contented grin grew on my lips as I watched Cirilla take in her surroundings with a smile as her mouth hung open. We were in the back courtyard of one of my family's villas which I had reserved exclusively for tonight.

Cirilla took a few steps forward, chuckling in sheer elation and amazement as her eyes took in the fairytale lights and candles lit up around her. She took a few steps forward to the table that stood alone in the middle with white carnation flowers, similar to the one on her shoulders, scattered on the ground, and a single red rose laid on the table.

“Do you like it?” I asked as she turned around.

“You did all of this?”

I walked up closer to her and wrapped my arms around her. “Do you like it?” I asked again.

“I love it, Ash. And I love you,” She said with the most gorgeous smile.

“I love you more,” I pecked her on the lips.

I led her to the table. Her eyes narrowed on the violins that were standing at a near distance.

Her wide questioning gaze came back to me and before she could ask, I supplied. “I wanted to make the moment even more perfect by hiring a violinist, but unfortunately, I didn't think he'd make it to the end of the night,” I pulled out a seat for her and she settled in.

“What? Why not? She narrowed her eyes at me while I took the chair opposite to hers.

“There was a high chance I might lose it and do something a little drastic if I caught him staring indecently at you,” I replied honestly, filling our glasses with some wine and she burst out laughing.

“So instead you scared him off,” She sipped from her glass.

“I paid him off,” I corrected with a smile, and I sipped from mine, before uncovering the two trays to show us a surf and turf for dinner with fingerling potatoes on the side and we began eating.

Once we were done, I took her hand and led her down to the beach, where a large blanket covered the sand and there were candles all around.

“You thought about everything,” She shot me a smile that made a warm sensation travel through me. I wished I could take it and keep it forever in a bottle. I didn't know when my lips pushed out a smile of their own. I loved her so deeply. Her happiness meant the whole world to me and I would work hard for the rest of my life to be the air she breathed. The rhythm her heart beats to, and the cause of her laughter.

I scooped her into my arms, pulling her onto my lap as we took off our shoes and sat on the blanket. My jaw rested on her shoulder and my arms around her as we stared at the ocean.

“It's beautiful, isn't it? The view from here is perfect,” She commented.

“You are right. The view from where I'm seated is the best,” I said, spellbound by her beauty.

She turned to me, her hands coming up to wrap around my neck. “And the view before me is even better,” She whispered softly, staring deeply into my soul. “Thank you, Asher. For doing this for me, not many guys do it for their mates,”

I pecked her lips. “Maybe because not everyone was blessed with a gift like me. I ask myself every day, just how on earth was I lucky to be fated with you, Cirilla? I wondered just what I must have done to deserve you,”

“Asher—”

“No. It's the true princess. You have no idea what you mean to me. You are the last thing I think about before I fall asleep every night and when I close my eyes, it's you I dream of. The sound of your voice, the way you look at me, the things we laugh about, every moment we share…” I swallowed a breath as I stared into those eyes staring back at me with unshed tears and love. She made me fall harder every single second. “...You are all I need. All I want to own. I would walk through fire for you, and do everything to keep you constantly happy beside me for the rest of our lives because I love you. You are my life and my future, Cirilla,”

“Asher,” Her tears rolled down her eyes, and she didn't even try wiping them off as fresh ones filled her eyes again. “And you mean the whole world to me as well. I would do anything for you because you are my beginning and my end. You are my peace, Asher,”

We could feel the intensity of our emotions through our bond and I felt the corners of my eyes sting with tears and hers kept rushing from her eyes.

She leaned forward and kissed me. The kiss was slow and sensual filled with love and care. It was powerful yet gentle at the same time. As her tongue slid against mine sweetly, and my arms around her, pinning her against me, I had never felt so blissfully content. I could feel both our arousals but it wasn't like the other times driven by desire. This was different. It felt pure. It was driven by our sincerity. Our unspoken bond and immense love for each other.

Our kiss was so intense. So special and the love I felt for her consumed my entire being.

“I love you, Asher,” She whispered again through our matelink.

“I love you, princess,” I whispered back through our matelink, shutting my eyes and getting lost in her warmth.

“You'll always be mine, and I will be yours,”

“Always and forever, princess”

“Till the end of time,”
