Chapter Ninety-One: Last night.

Ringing beside the pillow was Jake's phone, waking him out of his sleep. Ayanda was still in his arms, sleeping peacefully. However, the ringing and vibrating phone would not spare her. Her peace had to end too.

Jake reached over till he picked up the phone and answered. His eyes were sleepy and with the onset of the brand new light that was filtering in through the blinds making his vision blurry, he answered without checking the caller ID.

"Hello," went his groggy voice.

His initial thought had been that he had overslept and a furious Elizabeth would be all up in his business. But he was not late yet, and it wasn't Elizabeth. It was a seething Cindy.

"How could you Jake?" she screamed, "Creek Avenue of all places?"
