Ch.11

Tonight was the day of the debut ball. All the young ladies and gentlemen who have just become the age of an adult will be the center of attention. Others who are past the age of coming and who are still single will be going there to find a lover. Sometimes the parents can come if allowed.

At the debut ball, everyone must wear a mask to hide their face. The reason for the most part is for everyone to have fun and maybe fall in love with their personality.

Celina was getting ready, every maid helped her get ready. Putting on a beautiful baby blue gown with matching gloves and masks to match her gown.

"Prince Cynfal will dance with me first~"

She smiled as she touched the black choker and earring. Lisa didn't want to make her lady unhappy but she felt she had to tell the truth to Celina.

"L-lady Celina… your hair… he will notice you're not Vivana he wants to dance with…"

Celina looks at herself in the mirror and touches her hair.

"It's alright… mother went to talk to Queen Nasya… he will have to dance with me first, then he will fall in love with me~"

Lisa nodded and did Celina's hair in a perfect ballerina bun. Adding some hair aesthetic to help make her stand out.

Kalina came in and hugged her daughter.

"Beautiful I must say~"

They were getting ready to leave without Viviana. Since she couldn't go to the debut ball. That's what they thought.

In Viviana's room, she waited for them to leave, and soon after she rang her bracelet bell. Elatha teleports to her.

"My lady~"

He softly pecked her hands. She rolled her eyes.

"Kaiser… Can you help me get ready for the ball?"

"Lady Viviana~ I told you to use the blue gemstone and shine under the moonlight,"

Elatha grabs the blue gem and places it in her hands. Dragging her to the window, he gently opened it and let the moonlight shine into her room. Viviana held the blue gem under the moonlight and her whole outfit transformed into the dress she wore in the shop.

Elatha held her hand and slowly climbed out through the window.

"What are you doing!? You're going to fall!"

He softly chuckled and started to float.

"How can you forget I have magic~"

He slowly pulled her out and she also started to float. Viviana held onto him. He started to fly higher towards the moon and gently spin her around. Making her hair into a Chic ponytail updo with curly long hair.

Soon fly down to a nearby pond. She started to walk on top of the water when her crystal heels formed. He then flies back to her house's front gates and slowly helps her land.

"Lady Viviana~ your ride is here~"

He opened the door to the carriage. Viviana was a little shocked but thanked him. She went inside and he close the door.

"Have fun Lady Viviana~"

"Sir Kaiser… Most likely no one would want to dance with me…"

Elatha was a little taken aback. Who wouldn't want to dance with this beautiful lady?

"Then I hope tonight you will have one dance with someone~ Also… here is your mask.. did you make this?"

He hands Viviana the mask that matches her outfit. A sliver mask that was shaped like a butterfly.

"Yes, Kaiser… I felt bad and thankful for making me this dress and shoes. The best I can do is hand sue this mask,"

Elatha was in awe, he really found her talented.

"Off you good my lady~" he kissed her hand one last time before the carriage took off. He then teleports away.

I was so excited! No Viviana in the way! Just me and Prince Cynfal! Wearing my mask I enter the ballroom. Everyone stopped talking and the candle was blown off. One light that sparkles shines on me. Then from the top of the stairs, another light shone on someone who was wearing the same color as my dress!

It's Prince Cynfal! He came up to me and held out his hand.

"May I have the honor of this dance my lady~"

I smiled and accepted his offer.

"I would be honored ~"

We slowly made our wait in the middle of the dance floor. I could hear everyone whispering about how beautiful we looked together. Of course, Celina was a beautiful girl. We are a match made in heaven~

The music starts and we start dancing together. No one dared to join because they wanted us to stand out. We were almost done with the song when someone joined but of course not under the spotlight. Someone, I couldn't see well.

Her dress was more beautiful than mine! A tight slim maxi silver dress that was long sleeves. She was dancing with some dude.

His hair… IT WAS WHITE AS SNOW!? His eyes... NO! Red ruby!!! No no… the future emperor to murder the whole kingdom! What the hell is he doing here!? Wait! They are dancing away from us. They are heading… outside??!

Wait a minute… who was that guy I just saw? Didn't he have black hair? Why can't I remember what he looks like?

I made it to the debut ball. I was a little nervous. I enter and see that Celina just started to dance with Prince Cynfal. Of course, people say they look beautiful together. They are even matching. They seem so happy together.

I slowly head to the balcony. What is the point of me being here? I'll just stand out like a thorny rose! I shouldn't have come… I sigh before staring into the beautiful full moon. Then I heard a weird sound. Someone was climbing up!? I look down from the balcony to see a man wearing the most beautiful clothes. His mask was black. He looked like a beautiful black swan.

He made it to the top and pulled himself up. Now standing in front of me. He was very tall. His hair was black but his eyes were ruby red. Where have I seen those eyes before?

"My lady, I am sorry to scare you… someone stole my invitation and I must attend this event!"

He softly spoke. I slowly back away from him. He could be lying! But why do I trust him so much? It's like a feeling that I should trust him.

"No worries sir… My name is Viviana Oleander Chela, the daughter of the Duke family Chela…"

I greeted him. He softly smiled and greeted me back.

"Duke Elatha… James Rosedale! I am from a faraway kingdom who came here to meet the crown Prince of the Sun kingdom…"

Elatha? Such a wonderful name for a duke.

"What is a beautiful lady like you doing out here?"

"I'll be honest Duke Rosedale, I have no one to dance with,"

It was true, I would dance with Cynfal but he is taken by Celina. Besides, they look happy together.

"Then Lady Viviana~ May I have this dance with you?"

He held out his hand as it started to gently snow on us. I smiled and accepted it. We slowly walk back inside and near the middle of the ballroom. Dancing away. I only could look at him and Into his ruby eyes. The song was about to end soon but he didn't stop, he slowly danced towards the outside with the falling snow.

When we were finally away from everyone. He held my hand.

"I am grateful for this dance~ It's time for me to leave…"

I wonder if I'll meet him again. It's very strange for a woman like me to like someone I just met but something feels warm and safe. It's like I know this man.

"Will I ever meet you again Sir Rosedale?"

He softly smiled and handed me a pocket watch.

"My lady~ if we meet again… You can return this to me,"

I held the pocket watch near my heart. A fog appear and he soon disappeared. I wonder when I will meet him again.

The sound of people screaming from the ballroom and people rushing out. There was an attack and soon there was a knife to my throat.

"Move and see what will happen…"
