Chapter 41

The first scene to be shot today is the part where Valerie is waiting for Raviel to arrive at their meeting place. This will be their first date after being a couple. Valerie arrived one hour early from their meeting time because she really feels giddy and restless. She is not the type of girl who likes wearing skirts or dresses, that is why she chose a simple shirt, ragged jeans, and sneakers. But to make her look more feminine, put light make-up on her face and wear simple accessories.

Francheska does not have too much line for this scene. But she needs to act and show to the camera that she is a college girl who falls in love for the first time. Some actors and actresses find it hard to act a scene like that since they were no longer in the age when they experienced their first love. So they were eager to see how the famous actress who won a prestigious award abroad will do that scene.

Director Cartel told the actress to act naturally as much as she can. She did not give her any advice in the meantime to see what kind of act she will give to them. Though the director already saw Francheska's performance before, she was still curious about what she will do to portray her character as Valerie.

"Ready?" Director Cartel asked using a mini megaphone. The cameramen and the other staff raised their hands to give the director a thumbs up.

"Francheska, are you ready?"

"Yes, Director Cartel." Francheska answered with a smile.

"Good."

Director Cartel looked at the screen to check for the last time if everything is okay.

"Action."

The moment they heard Director Cartel's signal, everything became quiet.

Francheska entered the scene by running until she arrived on an empty bench under a huge tree. She sat there and patted her chest before taking a few breaths. Then she looked from left to right checking whether her boyfriend is already there. When she did not see any signs that he had already arrived, Francheska let out a relieved sigh.

"I guess I am so excited for our date today." Francheska muttered to herself while checking her wristwatch.

With nothing else to do, Francheska opened her mini sling bag and fished out a small lip gloss and a compact mirror. She opened the tube and gently apply a small amount of lip gloss on her lips. While doing it, her smile never leaves her face. Smacking her lips, she returned the lip gloss and the compact mirror inside her bag.

While waiting, Francheska is humming a soft tune while slowly swinging her legs. In this scene, Francheska is fantasizing about what will happen on their date. They will walk side by side on the street while holding hands, saying sweet nothings with each other, saying 'I love you' out of nowhere to see their partner blush. Francheska giggled in happiness by just thinking about those things.

"I really can't wait to see Raviel today." Francheska murmured to herself before giggling again.

Ah. She is really excited to have her first date with her boyfriend.

"And...cut!" Director Cartel shouted.

Director Cartel watched the scene again. The cameraman zoomed his camera and he captured her lovestruck expression and giddy smiles. When Francheska was humming a soft tune, her eyes were sparkling in happiness as if no one can destroy her mood today. There was some part when her lips were not smiling, but Francheska maintained her eye smiles which made the scene so wholesome and cute.

"Good take. Francheska, good job"

Francheska thanked the director for her praise. Rissa and Jess who were standing with the crew gave their thumbs up to Francheska. Even those people who were watching the actress praised her for doing a good job. In their hearts, Francheska really deserves to receive that international award.

"Okay, next. We are going to film the next scene." Director Cartel declared.

For their next scene, Valerie is still waiting for her boyfriend. But Raviel is already late for two hours. She became anxious and called him several times. When Raviel finally answered the call, Valerie bombarded him with a lot of questions. She was worried that something bad happened to him.

But it turns out, Raviel forgot their date today and he was sleeping until he answered one of Valerie's calls. Raviel apologized to Valerie a lot of times for his negligence. She told him not to worry about it while trying to cover up her disappointment in her voice. In the end, they decided to cancel their date today and Valerie left their supposed to be meeting place for their date today.
