Ch - 11 Kalapradarshan*

Next day ~ ( Man way too many skips)

In the morning, Raghav took a bath near the river and got ready. He was excited. Today two of the best worriors will clash. One is Son of Suryadev (Sun God) and the other is son of Indra (king of Gods). He quickly summoned his chariot and started heading towards the city.

After one hour, he reached the city.He saw a large crowd gather at the city gate and several Chariots entering the city. They were all the kuru princes who have just finished thier education.

When all the princes entered, the citizens started showering flowers at them. The sight was extremely beautiful. Soon all the princes reached the palace where there elders were waiting for them.

Raghav on the other hand was walking in the city market. He was in the city but not on his chariot because that would bring him unnecessary attention. He was touring the market to know the condition of the local.

Everything seemed normal except that there is some heavy ass Cast-system here. Everyone of the upper caste are dominating as usual. He felt bad for them but he knew that soon it will be gone. Maybe like some 50 something years. Maybe more.

He then started heading towards the stadium where kalapradarshan* will happen. He wanted to see the current power level of all the kuru princes. So he entered the stadium and took a seat. He sat on the front row so he could get a better view.

Not much time was passed but whole stadium was now filled with people. Everyone present wanted to see thier princes after so long.

Then, a man came in the center of ground. He was wearing the clothes of a Brahaman* and was none other than kripacharya, the kulguru* of Kuru linage.

Kripacharya - " To all who have come here, you will witness the might of our princes who have completed thier education. I pay my respect to lord Brahma, The Creator, Lord Vishnu, The Preserver and Lord Shiva, The Destroyer. And I hereby announce the start of kala pradarshan ( Talent show off). "

Saying this he left. The crowd burst into cheers. They have been waiting for this moment.

Soon all the princes came one by one and showed thier talents. In the 101 Kauravs, Duryodhan was exceptionally good at Mace Fighting and gained the most fame.

Then came the Pandavas. First came Yudhishthir who showed his skills with spear. Then Bheem who was also good at Mace fighting. Then came Nakul who was a very good sword fighter and after that came Sahadev who was very good at handling Axe. Finally came Arjun who was a Prodigy in archery.

The 106 then fought each other. Pandavas won all the matches they fought. Thier loosing streak started when they faced Duryodhan.

When Yudhishthir was fighting with Duryodhan , they both were having a good battle but then Duryodhan started taunting him and thus he lost his cool which led him to defeat.

When Bheem was fighting Duryodhan, they both were on par. They both were very strong and very good Mace fighters. But again, Duryodhan Taunted him which easily enraged him, thus leading to his defeat

Duryodhan had 2 back to back wins and he easily defeated Nakul and Sahadev as even though they were good with thier weapons, they lacked strength and experience.

Finally, the battle between Arjun and Duryodhan started. The fight itself was unfair as a Mace fighter was fight with an archer. Arjun shot few arrows which Duryodhan countered with his Mace. Arjun then an arrow which tied Duryodhan. And thus, Arjun won.

Drona was very happy seeing this. He took a vow to make Arjun the best archer in the entire world. He quickly came near him

Drona - "I am truly happy Arjun, (Announcing) I ,SON OF SAGE BHARADWAJ, DRONA, DECLARE ARJUN AS THE BEST ARCHER IN THIS ENTIRE WORLD. IF ANYONE OPPOSE THIS, THEN I ASK YOU TO HAVE A BATTLE WITH ARJUN."

Arjun - "Can I release Duryodhan, teacher?"

Drona - "Yes Arjun."

Before Arjun could do anything, an arrow came and freed the tied up Duryodhan.

Drona (angry)- " Who dared to shoot this arrow !?"

Unknown - " You yourself gave the challange to the whole world, I am just accepting that challenge."

A very handsome man with a lithe yet muscular figure appeared. He wore two divine looking earrings. He wore a yellow Dhoti* and yellow angavastra*.

Drona - "Who are you!? What is your Varna?(caste) "

Karna - " I am Radhey Karna. I am a Sure and my father is a Chariator."

Drona -" A son of a Chariator dare to fight a prince! I will not allow that."

Karna - "Why? Are you scared that I will defeat you favourite student?"

Drona - "No, none can defeat him. You are not eligible as you are not a Kshatriya* neither a brahaman*. Is there anyone else who agree with this Sutputra"

Raghav on the other side was getting angrier and angrier. All his thoughts were running wild. What the heck is this teacher? What the heck is this caste system? You think you are superior just because you were born in a higher cast?

[ Wukong - Step up! Teach that idiot teacher a lesson. ]

[ Thor - I agree with this monkey, that idiot think he is way too good of a teacher. ]

[ Athena - +1]

Raghav then stood up from where he was standing. Everyone around him started to look at him with curiosity. Arjun was shocked to see his new friend standing. Karna also saw his Gurubhrata*(Student of same teacher) standing there, supporting him. He felt proud.

Raghav - " I support him."

Drona (angry) - "Who are you? Do you think Arjun is not talented or strong enough to be the best archer?"

Arjun too started getting angry as his friend was indirectly insulting him and his teacher just by standing.

Raghav - "I am Raghav and I never said that I don't believe in the talent of Arjun. Don't forge your words in such a way that I look like a bad person."

Everyone was surprised. A young man dared to raise his voice against one of the best worriors living.

Drona - "Then why do you oppose my decision."

Raghav jumped from where he was sitting to the ground of the stadium. He walked near the center where Drona, Arjun, Karna and Duryodhan were. He folded his hands and greeted everyone.

Raghav - "Pranipat Dronacharya, Bhrata Karna, Mitra Arjun, Prince Duryodhan."

Everyone - "Pranipat."

Raghav - "Dronacharya, I cannot accept your statement because of some reasons. First Only Mahadev is the best archer, rest can only be better."

Everyone were shocked hearing this. They realised that indirectly, they have disrespected the God of Gods, Mahadev. He turned to Arjun and asked.

Raghav (continue) - " Second, Arjun, are you confidant on defeating Mahamahim Bhishm or your teacher Dronacharya?"

Arjun - "No"

Arjun's answer was simple. He knew he couldn't defeat two of the best worriors of Aryavrat*.

Raghav - "See, if he can't even defeat You or Mahamahim Bhishm, how can he be the greatest archer? He have Talent, that I accept but he still does not have experience. It will take time for him to become one of the best archers. It cannot be done when he has just completed his education."

[ Athena - How cunning you have become @Raghav. You have insulted both of them yet the choice of your words and calmness showed that you are not trying to insult them. ]

[ Wukong - Baby boy has grown up. ]

[ Raghav - Hehe ]

He mentally replied. He then looked towards the people who were still thinking of what just happened.

Raghav - " Third, how can Arjun show his greatness when he is fighting a Mace fighter? The fight between Arjun and Duryodhan was unfair. How can you make an archer fight a Mace fighter, Duryodhan was clearly at disadvantage. I am sure that if it was a Mace fight, Duryodhan would have won as he even defeated Bheem."

Duryodhan was happy hearing this. There was finally someone who supported him.

Raghav - "And lastly, Do not judge the talent and valour of a person by thier Caste or work. (Looked towards karna) I can assure you that Bhrata Karna can easily rival Arjun or even Mahamahim Bhishm."

When he said that, Bhishm raised his eyes as he did not expect someone to say this. He himself knew of his strength. How can a fairly young boy can defeat him?

Drona - " How can you say that? How can a Chariator's son even fight Mahamahim Bhishm? Who gave him education? I will kill him personally! This is against Vedas!"

Raghav (irritated) - " Oh, you want to kill your own teacher?"

Drona's eyes popped out when he heard this. He understood what Raghav was implying.

Raghav - "The man standing here is the best student of Lord Parshuram! Are you saying that you can kill your teacher?"

Everyone gasped. They also heard about the infamous Sage. He alone killed evil male kings along with thier armies.

Drona - "You are lying! How can Lord Parshuram teach him? He only accept Brahaman's as deciple."

Raghav - "Then how about a fight between Arjun and Karna? I am sure you will know the truth by that and the world will see two great Archers clash. How exciting that is?"

Drona was getting angry. He did not care who was infront of him. He knew the man was lying. But before he can could say anything, he heard Arjun.

Arjun - " I accept your Challenge."

When he said that, eyes of every individual fell on Arjun. Raghav smiled as he wanted to see the clash personal. He also changed nature of Arjun a little.

Drona - "What are you saying, how can you fight him?"

Arjun - "He has challanged me, gurudev (teacher). It is Dharma of a Yodha (Worrior) to accept the challange."

Drona so sighed as for him, Arjun was already the winner. Arjun on the other hand looked at Raghav. Raghav smiled seeing him.

Raghav - "Good luck, Bhrata Karna, Friend Arjun."

Both nodded and took thier position while rest were eager to see the fight. Raghav too went back to his place.
