Chapter Hundred & Twelve: Unknown POV: Father's Advice

My father said he will be lenient and only pick three men. From then onwards, I will be given a chance to spend time with them. My mother says I should be wise because the one I choose will rule. If I choose wrong he will be a curse not only to the kingdom but to me. I will not always have their protection or guidance. I can only rule once my father decides or dies but usually, the new king is given the crown when one passes.
Many have been killed before.
It's only situations like these where I listen to my mother because I know that she's smart. Though royals are given gifts, mine, have not been given yet. My mother has been given the power of wisdom, air, and mind-reading. My father, agility and speed. My younger brother already received his as a teleporter. My mother and father were surprised that he received his before me.
