Fight Back

I don't understand why this is happening to me again. 

"Did she disappear for almost a week because of her engagement? That's unreasonable."

"I can't believe it. Doesn't her father have lots of debts now?" 

"Yeah! She should be shouldering all those debts since her parents are dead. I wonder what benefits will Night get from that. Accepting that shameless girl as his fiancée." 

I tried my best to ignore the female students' rants that they really want me to hear. 'Who the heck told everyone that I'm engaged to Night?' I sighed as I reached the door to my classroom, and as soon as I opened it, I felt everyone's eyes on me. 'Is this… am I going to get bullied by my classmates again?' 

"Noelle! Oh my god! What happened to you?" I felt Carla's hands on my arms making me turn to her. "It's been a week and a half." She said as she pulled me into a hug. 'W-What's with this reaction?'
