Who was that?

DIANA POV

"Do you remember now, Diana?", Dr. Blackwell asked as he stared at my eyes.

"What about, Dr. Blackwell?", I asked Dr. Blackwell what memory is he referring to. By the look of his eyes, he seemed anxious.

"..about humans turning to wolves?", he asked.

"No, nothing in particular", I responded as I sighed and lowered my eyes. I've seen one last night as it saved my life, but I can't tell if it transformed from a human form.

Seeing Dr. Blackwell's reaction, I can tell they are not only real, but also has great importance in my life. It makes me look forward to finding that lost piece of me, hoping that memory is not completely forgotten so I can finally find the answers.

"Ask your mother, Diana. She holds more anwsers I'm sure", Dr. Blackwell said as he went back to his chair.

Mother, do you hold so many secrets from me?

I went to my office and saw Kate on her desk speaking with someone on the phone, signaling she'll follow me in my office.

I sighed at the sight of my desk full of paperworks and patient files. "Back to work", I said as I place my coat on a chair.

I sat down and started scanning the paperworks when Kate came in with my black coffee and a piece of paper.

"Let me see a clear view of you", she said as she put down my cup of coffee and the paper she's holding, then came close to me checking my face. "Oh my goodnes, D.. I am so sorry", Kate hugged me and sobbed.

I winced at her warm embrace, realizing my abdomen still ache from William's assault.

"Does it hurt here", as she gently touch my stomach. "You should go down to the ER.

"Kate, I'm fine. Really.", I rubbed her shoulders to calm her a little. "I was scared, but hey, I survived!", I said with a smile. The moment I had my phone back, I immediately told Kate everything so I won't cry when I see her and also, she won't overreact when we meet.

"I can't believe that guy Scott left you. And that Christina?? She should go to jail!", Kate said as she wiped her tears.

"Let's just forget them. I won't be seeing any of them anymore anyway", trying to hold back my tears.

"What about the fortune telling? Do you think it's really true? I mean, it kinda freaked me out D. Especially the wolf thing. ", Kate asked as she sat down on the chair near my desk handling me the Dr. Blackwell's memo.

"That's what I want to find out. I'm just scared if I can handle the truth", I leaned back and sighed.

After a long day of signing paperworks, reading case studies and reviewing patient charts, Diana finished her fifth cup of black coffee as she leave her office.

Kate already left at 5pm. As perusal, Diana completes a 12-hour shift everyday. But if she's on duty with surgeries and trainings, at times, she doesn't go home.

It's past seven in the evening already. Time seemed to fly by when Diana's at work. She stepped out of the lobby and shivered at the cold temperature of the night. She stopped before crossing to the parking lot as she sees a blue sportscar approaching.

The car let her pass first, Diana waved and crossed the driveway. If only she parked the car in her parking slot, she wouldn't have to go all the way at the end of the parking lot tonight.

It was a little bit dark in the portion of the parking lot where she parked her car because of the busted lamp posts. It's a good thing that a car following her lighted the way. She turned around and saw the same blue sportscar.

She moved to the side as she brisk walked to her car. She pressed on her stomach and frowned at her discomfort as she walks. As she reached her car, the blue sportscar stopped.

'Will this blue car park here?', she wondered when there's so many slots available in near the entrance.

She started her car and drove out of the hospital. Boosted with caffeine, Diana is so awake and doesn't feel like going home yet. So she dropped by a near café to have a quick dinner before heading home.

Sitting by the window, she ordered a cheese and spinach ravioli with garlic bread and a bottle of sparkling water. She stared at her food with her mouth open for a while. Flashes of what happened last night started to torture her. She placed her hands on her forehead with her elbows on the table as she folded her lips in a tight line.

Diana drank a bit of the sparkling water as she glanced on the window when she saw a blue car sportscar parked near the pavement.

'Why do I keep seeing blue cars everywhere?', Diana thought as she put down the bottle.

She sighed deeply and stared at her food again. It took a while for her to notice that she's crying already. She smiled as her tears poured. She bit her lip and wiped her tears with her hands. Diana cried out in of all places, in a public place where so many strangers can see. She didn't mind the people staring. What she knows, that at this point, her heart sank with sadness.

Diana combed her hair with her fingers when the waitress approached to hand her a napkin.

"Oh.. thanks Miss", she said as she took the napkin. Diana didn't even looked. Realizing she didn't have the appetite, she left her payment and went straight to her car.

Diana drove home instead of eating dinner as planned. As she enter the Villa Estates, she noticed that a blue sportscar is following her. She slowed down and changed lanes. The blue sportscar car kept its pace. She shrugged it off and drove to their driveway as the blue car went past ahead.

'Who was that?', she thought.
