Nervous

"Babe it's okay, it's okay" Kosi said as Rue cried into his shirt. "No it's not" she replied pulling herself back and wiping the tears under her bloodshot eyes. "Oh man" she said trying to compose herself as she sniffled and cleared her throat.

"You okay?" Kosi asked holding her hand. "Yeah I, um gah fuck!" Rue said unable to compose herself. "Why's it got to be this hard" she said burying her head in her hands. "I mean that's kinda us though isn't it, nothings been easy for awhile" Kosi replied shrugging.

"How are you now just so calm about all of this now?" Rue asked looking up at Kosi with a confused look on her face. "I have no idea" Kosi replied with a blank expression.

"You okay?" she asked looking into his eyes and not seeing anything. "I mean yeah I'm fine, this might sound bad but I don't feel like I care anymore. I mean of course I care I just don't feel anything when we do this. Besides just being happy you're here with me for it and thinking you look adorable when you're explaining your lab shit" Kosi replied with a smile.

"Oh I guess it's good you're fine, I think. Sorry I'm just still not really understanding why my dad would do something like this" Rue said frowning as she looked down at the signature. Foot incessantly tapping she yelled "Aahh! fuck fuck fuck!" as she got up.

"Babe where you going?" Kosi asked watching her put her shoes on. "He's gonna explain this shit to me right now" Rue replied grumbling. "Who's gonna explain what?" Kosi asked shakily. "My dad's gotta explain why he did it!" she yelled putting her jacket on.

Freezing in place she looked at the time. "Wait what day is it?" she asked with her face going blank. "Day one" Kosi replied. "Shit start cleaning!" She yelled as she threw her jacket back off and scrambled for the pages on the floor.

"Wait what's going on?" Kosi asked as he watched her scramble. "Less talk more clean my parents are coming over!" Rue said stuffing pages back in their boxes. "Wait what since when?!" Kosi shouted as he sprung up to his feet.

"Ugh I visited them yesterday and they just said they were gonna come over for dinner today. Shit dinner!" she said dropping the box and running into the kitchen. "Bro stop!" Kosi said bolting after her.

"Shit slow the fuck down and think and breathe!" Kosi said grabbing her shoulders. Blankly staring back back at him her lip started to quiver as she started sobbing. "Ahh fuck no wait don't cry! Sorry i yelled don't cry babe" he said in a panic.

"I don't even know why I'm crying this time" she said leaning into his chest. "Doesn't matter. Let's get this place cleaned up then get some food from El's" Kosi said kissing her on the forehead.

An hour later there was a knock at the door. "Shit that them?" Rue said as her head peaked out from the bedroom door. "Hey babe can you open up I forgot my key" Kosi replied from the other side of the door.

Running over to the door she opened it. "Geez could you look less excited to see me" he said chuckling at her wide eyed fearful expression. "Fuck off I'm just really nervous cause I want them to like you and they don't know we share a bed and...gah!" Rue said as she grabbed at her hair.

Seeing Kosi go to grab her she held her arms out. "No no I'm good just go to breathe" she said closing her eyes and taking deep breaths. She smiled serenely as she opened her eyes. "See I'm better, now let's get this dinner over a d done with before I'm not better anymore.

Minutes later a knock at the door caused Kosi to bolt to his feet. "Ah shit they're here" he said nervously. "Wait why are you scared now?" Rue asked looking at Kosis nervous expression. "I don't know" he whispered as he instinctually went to open the door.

Trying to calm himself he opened the door and saw Rues parents on the other side. "Um uh hi Mr and Mrs King come in if you want" he said recognizing his own stammering.

"Aww bless you sweetheart don't worry we're not gonna bite you" Jane said patting Kosi on the shoulder. "Alright alright sorry I'm just scared" Kosi replied chuckling. "Hey mom hey dad" Rue said smiling nervously.

"Hey sweetie" Jane said going to hug Rue. All while David walked around seemingly inspecting the home. "Um dad?" Rue said looking at David. "Hmm looks clean enough, what's for dinner" he said as he headed to the dining room.
