The Results

The debate finally arrived, everyone was excited at the anticipation of Art and Science class.

They all sat down together on their seats waiting for the chief speaker to climb the stage. Adam Smith climbed the stage and everyone cheered him up as he began his introduction.

"Good day my fellow students! My name is Adam Smith, am here to support the motion which says science is better than Art." said Adam softly and science class roared joyfully.

The next kid was Iris, she was applauded with her introduction as while as Charlotte, Caleb, Princess, Samson.

After thirty minutes, the room was getting hotter between the Science and Art class.

"Wow you guys are very impressive, I must commend." said VC, cheerfully and continued "You guys would have to go for a short break now and resume back in the next ten minutes.' said the vice principal softly

The students were released to have refreshments for ten minutes and Vivian quickly ran to her best friend and said

"Charlotte that was impressive sweet. I'm very sure we're going to win this time around!" said Vivian cheerfully

"Really I hope so." said Charlotte smiling

After ten minutes, the debate ended and the results was announced after ward by the class teacher:

"The results for both classes goes like this, Introduction for Art students 15%, Dressing 30%, Speech 40%. Total 85." said the class teacher and he turned to the students "Art class scored 85 over hundred." said the teacher and few students applauded them while some students mumbled among themselves sadly

"For the science class, introduction 20%,Dressing 35%, Speech 45%. Total 100." said the class teacher and all science students shouted for Joyfully, some were jumping, while some were clapping their hands.

"We did it!" shouted Vivian on her seats excitedly

"Decorum class!". said VC. Everyone was silent and he continued "Adam and Charlotte come on stage." said the VC. He handed them the trophy and the students cheered them up

After the jubilation, Charlotte finally came out from the hall.

"I should be the only one with the trophy now am sharing it with that boy." said Charlotte inwardly to herself unhappy and she continued "Thank God we won! Vivian will be proud of me." and Charlotte was carried away and she bumped over Adam accidentally

"Watch your steps." said Adam instantly

"You should be saying sorry." said Charlotte indifferently

"Oh I see," chuckled Adam

"What's funny?" swear Charlotte angrily at him

""Charlotte! I have been looking for you everywhere." said Vivian cheerfully behind her and Charlotte quickly turned around and hugged her joyfully

"Vivian!" They hugged each other happily and Adam was stunned at the two girls display and he turned to leave

"Adam," said Vivian gently and moved closer to him friendly

"Excuse me please." said Adam arrogantly and he left their presence rudely

"That rude boy, ignore him jor!" said Charlotte angrily

"I wanted to congratulate him. Anyway girl I'm so proud of you." said Vivian happily

"Thanks dear. before I forget where's my present?" asked Charlotte gently

"It's a surprise girl. Let's go out." replied Vivian Cooley

"Really?" asked Charlotte eye wide open

"Yes so let's go home." said Vivian smiling

The school had closed for the day, and the science class was very happy for the success of their debate. Outside the school, the students were walking down the lane to their various houses.

"We did it this time around!" said first girl from junior class thoughtfully

"I'm happy the science class won this time around." said second girl happily

"Me too." said third girl joyfully

Finally Charlotte and Vivian arrived at a lounge, they quickly got down from the car and stepped inside the lounge.

"Omg! So this is the place you had in mind to surprise me with?" asked Charlotte joyfully

"Yes Charlotte. Do you like the place?" asked Vivian walking majestically to their seats

"Yes and it's beautiful!" commended Charlotte cheerfully and she sat down gently and was looking at the place admirably

"What will you like to eat?" asked Vivian suddenly

"Anything Viv." said Charlotte cheerfully and she was looking at the lounge and noticed their food was expensive

The waitress finally served them their food and said "Here is your food." said waitress politely and left their presence. They ordered; Fried rice, jollof rice and salad with a turkey breast and red wine

"Whoa whoa! These food looks yummy yummy." exclaimed Charlotte salivating over the sumptuous food on their table

"Yes you can say that again." said Vivian smiling and added "Let's eat Charlotte."

They started eating their food, Charlotte was very pleased with the food and she make sure she devoured everything on her plate "I'm not going to waste any food here, I will make sure I eat everything." said Charlotte inwardly

"Are you enjoying your food?" asked Vivian, she was looking at the way Charlotte was busy eating her food with no interruptions

"Yes dear," said Charlotte finally and she added "Vivian thanks for this meals. I love the food I must say!" said Charlotte cheerfully

"I'm happy to hear that." said Vivian chuckled

Adam was sitting opposite them and he was busy watching the two girls most especially, Charlotte. He saw the way Charlotte was eating hungrily and thought to himself

"Gosh glutton!" he thought to himself grinning and Charlotte caught sight of him starring at her directly.

"What?" smirked Charlotte suddenly at Adam inquiry

"What's that?" asked Vivian surprisedly at Charlotte sudden burst

"Look at him there," said Charlotte looking at Adam spitefully

"Who's that?" Vivian turned sideways and caught sight of Adam starring at them "Oh Adam, that rude boy again." said chuckled Vivian

"And he was looking at me like that. what does he want?" asked Charlotte spitefully

"He's here to eat I guess." said Vivian nonchalantly

"It's everywhere I see him now. I don't like him. gosh!" said Charlotte angrily

"Leave the boy alone Charlotte, we came on her own anyway, just ignore him." said Vivian softly

"Everywhere I turn I always see his ugly face, it's so annoying. I can't eat again!" said Charlotte irritated

"Really. You're not eating again?" asked Vivian eyebrows

"I think I have lost my appetite seeing that annoying face!" pointed Charlotte sadly

"You are funny girl, don't let Adam spoil your mood, please and eat your food if not he has you won again!" admitted Vivian softly

"Never!" said Charlotte

"So ignore him dear and eat your food." said Vivian

"Okay. I don't want to take your kind gesture for granted. I will try and finish the food up." said Charlotte finally.
