Chapter 2 New Beauty

Charlene was a human of royal descent, stolen away by a wretched demon, that is how it was known to the commoners.

She was the most beautiful woman in the Kingdom of Tallap, and because of this, the King had decided she would only be wed to the most powerful warrior and final victor in a battle only available to those of royal blood. Humans, Elves, Orcs, and other humanoid beings of royale blood all had participated, of course there were other rules, on age, wives, etc.

What nobody expected would happen was that a royal of the Demon race would participate, royal demons are similar to elves in stature and etiquette but much greater in brute strength.

This Demon won officially, but the King had proclaimed it null due to being an impure race unblessed by the Goddess' grace.

The Demon later snuck in and Charlene ran away, after a few years they realized she was pregnant. Unfortunately, the royals had been on their tails for a while, and in a certain land, the baby was left in front of a lower class house.

(Now that, that was worthy, I have no regrets.) The General sighed. (Wait.. Breathing?)

The baby opened his dark brown eyes which gave would warm any soul, and made a serious expression!!

The couple that had just gotten this adorable sleeping abandoned baby registered to them had brought it back to their little farm house.

But this serious and stern expression on the babies face had almost made them die from the cuteness

The young woman with soft plumpish features buried her face in her red bearded burly husbands chest before exclaiming

"He's too cute!!! What should his name be?!"

The husband gave out a sigh before saying in a voice that said 'chill, I know I know'

"Maxene... he already has a name."

The woman looked at the baby and then back at her husband saying in a hushed voice as if the baby could understand

"He doesn't know that..."

She glanced at the baby once more before saying

"Its not like whoever abandoned him deserves to give him a name anyways. His name is David, like his most handsomest papa!"

The burly man rolled his eyes with a blushing smirk before looking at the baby and trying to play peek-a-boo

The baby didn't budge and instead closed his eyes for a nap

Maxene giggled and she and her husband clocked in for the night after some talk about random gossip around town as well as about raising the child, the baby laid in a cradle by their bed.

After realising what the situation was, the baby David was quite joyous, he was given a second chance and took that as a boon from the God's for his final acts, and now he might get to know what it is like to have a family.

His father came closer and had started to play peek-a-boo

(Its okay, you are a baby, you need no ego and need no shame, lets start gigglin)

Baby David was transported into a dimension with no wind, and somehow no temperature, but the difference in his body was the most noticeable thing, it was actually his body, scars and all

The feeling of knowledge being bound to his soul was no less weird than the lack of temperature
