More nurses soon arrived, bringing food.

You both made sure to let the all kwamis be out and choose something to have.

"When will you have to take them back to Master Fu?" You ask, looking at Kaalki sadly.

"Whenever we get outta here, I guess."

"Aww. I like having them around."

"Me too."

"I like you guys, but for now I just want to stay safe in the box." Nooroo says in a tone that is both sad, and fearful.

"That's understandable, we'll get you back as soon as we can!" Adrien reassures the little creature.

"Well I for one, do not wish to go back. I like to have you around too, darling!" Kaalki says, sitting on your arm.

You grin at her and stroke her short mane.

But then the door starts to open, so Kaalki and Nooroo hide, while Adrien quickly transforms.

"Just checking in!" Says the nurse.

You give a thumbs up, and they leave.

"That sure gets annoying." You complain.

"Yeah. I guess they're just doing their job, but they probably wouldn't be so attentive if we weren't in here together."

"I doubt it. But my dad probably requested it again."

"Most likely. Why does he hate me?" Cat asks sadly.

"He doesn't hate you! And hey, I doubt your dad is too fond of me, either." You say pointedly.

"Well no, but you slap him. He totally deserved it though!"

You giggle, as he continues.

"But I haven't done anything to your dad! So why doesn't he like me? Is it because of my dad?"

"No, it's because of me."

"What?! How?!"

"Because we're dating."

"Oh. He doesn't like you having a boyfriend?"

"Nope."

"Why not? I mean, I've seen it on TV and stuff all the time, where dads freak out over their daughter dating somebody. I guess I understand it in some cases, when the person they're dating is clearly a bad influence or whatever, but what about when there's nothing wrong with them?"

"I don't know, really. Like you said, sometimes it makes sense, but it doesn't for us. I mean, you're a superhero!"

"Exactly! Wait, maybe it was that one akuma who looked like me! And stole the painting! He knows that was an akuma, right?"

"Oh yeah, I remember that! I'm sure he knows. That must've been so hard for you, everyone thinking you'd went bad. Well, most everyone."

"Ugh, it was such a pain! The cops kept trying to arrest me. And it was everyone! If anybody saw me, they'd either call the police, or run, or both!"

"Wasn't me." You respond quietly.

"Really? How did you know?"

"Because I'd been paying attention to you from day one. I saw you out before anybody else really noticed, so you were the first super I ever knew about. Then when Ladybug appeared I noticed everyone seemed to pay her more attention, I guess because she captured the akuma."

"Yeah, that's the most important part."

"I know, but still. I just always found myself watching you, and I realized that you seemed really nice, and funny. So I just kinda knew you weren't a thief."

"Aww, Angel. I'm flattered! I wish I'd known I had such a clawsome fan ages ago!" He says giving you a hug.

But of course you're interrupted by a nurse, asking what's going on.

Apparently it looked like more than just a hug from the perspective of the door, since you're laying flat on the bed, and he's leaning over from his spot sitting beside you.

"It was just a hug, don't worry." You tell them.

"I was told to watch you two all night. So don't try anything!" The nurse says and leaves.

"Yep, he told them to check in every five minutes again. Great." You groan.

"I told you. He hates me!"

"Kitty, he does not! That's like, impossible."

"That's the only explanation for it." He says, shrugging.

"I guess he's just scared."

"Of what, my cataclysm? Or my superpowers?"

"Well, maybe. But probably just the fact that you're a guy, and there's tons of guys who aren't like you."

"Not like me how?"

"You know, like Felix, and Jean. Pushy, demanding guys who try to force girls into things."

"Oh. I would never do that!" He says, slipping his hand into yours.

"I would never, ever try to make you do something you didn't want to do!"

"I know you wouldn't, Kitty. But my dad doesn't. He doesn't see how you always ask before laying with me, or how you ask if we can kiss."

"Well do you want me to ask in front of him?"

"No, he'd probably still freak out."

"Then I don't know what to do about him. But it doesn't really matter, does it? As long as know."

"Yeah. And I do know."

"Good. I love you."

"I love you too." You grin.

"Awww! You two are so sweet!" Kaalki says, flying in.

You and Cat laugh, as she watches.

"So when's the wedding?!" She asks, causing much blushing.

"We're not even old enough to get married!" You giggle.

"Really? How old do you have to be?"

"18." Cat responds.

"Oh, it was younger than that last time I had a holder!"

"Well don't worry, we'll definitely invite you when the time comes!" You say.

"You better!"

Before anything else can be said, the nurse pops in again, making Kaalki hide.

They don't say anything, just check and then leave.

"I wonder what they'd do if we were kissing, and then just didn't pay them any attention. Would they like, physically make us stop?" You laugh.

He laughs too, then says, "They might kick me out!"

"Aww, they probably would. It'd be funny to see though, if there wasn't that possibility."

"Yeah. But seriously, don't they have more important things to do?"

"You'd think!"

To prove the point, the nurse pops in again.

This time they come in and get rid of the food trays, eyeing you suspiciously.

"Jeez, they act like we're criminals who might attack at any moment!" You complain, making him laugh.

"Maybe we are! Rarr!" He playfully growls, tickling you.

You laugh and push at his hands.

He laughs and pulls away, noticing your heart rate going up.

"Wouldn't want them in here any more than they insist." He sighs.

"Ugh, yeah."

He looks out the window, and must notice something, because he gets up and darts over.

"What is it?" You ask.

"The flower, I think it's starting to wilt!"

"Oh no! You better go to your mom like, now!"

"Yeah, she is in this hospital, so I'm gonna go find her. I'll be back!" He says, picking up the flower and heading toward the door.

"Wait! Do you want me to come with you? And don't forget to detransform!"

"Right! And I'd hate to get all your wires undone, plus mom will be asking too many questions. I'll be back in a little while!" He says, then goes out the door.

I duck into a bathroom to detransform, feed Plagg, then hurry to my mother's room.

Aunt Amelie usually doesn't come later in the day like this, so there should be nobody around.

When I get to her room and close the door, I fo over to her bed and lay the flower on her.

I sing the incantation, but once again, nothing happens.

So I sing it again.

She moves a little, but the doctor's said that would be normal.

Then I can see her eyes moving around behind the lids, so I sing again.

I think she mutters something, so I ask if she can hear me.

"Adrien?" She whispers opening her eyes.

This flower is amazing!
