I was walking in a forest with gigantic, luminous, and verdant trees. Its canopy was contested by rowan, juniper, and crabapple, and abundant dancing lights bounced through their crowns for disorderly shrubs to reign the moist and fertile bottom layer below.
Quiet branches dangled from every tree, and a variety of flowers, which desperately tried to claim the last remnants of light, brightened up the otherwise emerald backdrop.
A variety of wild sounds, most of which were critters, added life to the forest and overpowered the trickling sounds of a gentle river stream.
As I continue my walk, I was the first to chance upon the brook.
It was a dainty blue color like it was painted by a very talented painter. Flowing and twisting smoothly past all obstacles, without difficulty it managed to pass the river's boulders as well.
Stems twirled on its rumbling surface, little messengers from the mountain trees where they had come from. The brook flowed over the stones on the riverbed. It sounded like the fresh, delicate whirl of a stunning flock.
The mountains stood silently in the background, a pondering presence with a majestic skyline. Clusters of snow covered their lofty peaks, enveloping them in a deck of angel-white.
A weeping waterfall poured from a nick in the rock face.
It looked like a stream of sleek blue flowing down the mountain. Carrying its load of ice crystals, it looks like it is confined with silver. A distant humming sound emerges from it, like the steady beating of a drum.
Glimmering brightly, it fed the river, the heart of the forest. It was a breathtaking sight.
My gaze returned to the rippling brook. I could see now how the water had gained its glassy clarity. The snowmelt from the ice made it appear crystal clear, and the surface shimmered as if dream dust had been sprinkled over it.
Speckled trout swims under the shaded leaves of the bank, flipping their tails lazily. If a juicy insect happened to pass them, they would jump out from the pebbled bed like grim reapers. Swerving into the air, their bodies sparkling, they flutter briefly, dancing the river.
Then, with a flopping sound, they would return to the deep depths, their prey already safe in their speckled bellies. The watery grave of the river seemed very magical to me at that moment.
The riverbank was lined with shells of wild peas. The shells were light green, but inside there were minuscule, pulpy fresh peas. I tasted one, and it was mouthwatering. Never did food enclose in the devil's cloak tastes so good!
I sat on the riverbanks, then let my feet feel the cold running water; I scooped a hand through the water and drank my fill.
It was refreshing.
I leaned my back against a rock and closed my eyes, enjoying the sun's warmth. The sweet smell of the forest filled my nostrils as I savor the beauty of nature.
After resting, I continue my little adventure and arrived at the center of the forest.
There I saw a tavern. From the outside, it looks inviting, cheerful, and warm. Small stones and sandstone pillars make up most of the building's outer structure. It's impossible to see through the small, curtained windows, but the sounds of cutlery and drinking glasses from within can be felt outside.
As I enter the tavern through the small, soft wooden door, you're welcomed by the smell of alcohol and excitement.
The bartender was quite handsome and was engaged in a conversation, but still manages to welcome me with a wink. As I look around, I feel a trickle down my nose. I wiped it with my finger and found out it was blood.
I have a nosebleed?!
Maybe because this place is heaven for me. All the guys drinking here were very handsome.
It's as lovely inside as it is on the outside. Squared wooden beams support the upper floor and the rows of small lights attached to them. The walls are swarming with photographs.
Wait, a minute!
I knew these people. I put my fingers in my eyes and rub them quickly.
All the people drinking here are celebrities in my past life! What happened? Did they also transmigrate here? Seems like they are very familiar with this place.
Or maybe because this is my dream? Maybe the gods or the system may have taken pity on me and let me see them again.
Several long tables are occupied by separate groups of celebrities, all enjoying themselves, but they keep to themselves. The other, smaller tables are also occupied by idols who are indulging in great food and drinks, while some do try to strike a conversation, others can barely speak a word between eating what must be delicious food.
Even most of the stools at the bar are occupied, though nobody seems to mind more company.
I think this tavern is very peculiar. How come these people are here?
As I manage to find a seat, a stranger suddenly sits in front of me. He wore a black cloak, but I can see a scar on his face. But it doesn't look ugly and I feel that it adds to the mysterious essence surrounding him.
I feel like he was observing me. Then suddenly, a smile formed on his lips. He suddenly moved forward and whispered in my ears.
"I finally found you, my mate." He said.
I immediately move backward and said,
"Mate? Are you crazy? Who's your mate?"
"You're my mate. May I say that your thoughts are pretty naughty?" He smirks as he continues to observe my reaction.
"What do you mean, naughty?"
"All of your memories are filled with handsome-looking men."
"And what's wrong with that? I am just admiring their good looks."
"Mmhh!Mhh! That's not allowed from now on." He said as he shakes his head.
"And why should I follow you?" Is this guy a psycho?
"You must only admire me from now on." He smugly said.
"The hell you're talking about? Can you please move to another table? You're making me uncomfortable."
"Sorry. It was not my intention to make you feel uncomfortable. By the way, you should wake up. I think that Shemer will blow his top off if you would not open your eyes any second."
"If this is inside my thoughts, how can you be here?" What's with this guy.
"Destiny? See you soon my mate." He then stood up and suddenly vanish leaving me astonished.
I feel like there is someone shaking me. Startled, I jolted my body up. I look around and found out that I was still in my room.
