Possessed

"I got it. I am strong just like my brother. I will never make my family worry about me. Thank you Alevia. You are my best friend." She answered with a soft yet determined voice.

Beside her, Zhao Yang remained stoic but if one observes him clearly, they was a slight tinge of a impressed expression. He was impressed at how fast and well she could help Liying.

"Mmmm. See you tomorrow at school." Without waiting for Liying to reply, she hung up the call as if nothing just happened. She turned toward Zhao Yang only to see him looking at her with a very interested eyes.

"Thank you." He told her with deep emotions with full of gratefulness. He was not the type to easily show his emotions. But he revealed his emotions infront of her without any hesitation.

Aunt Laura interrupted them by entering the room with dinner. Seeing the interruption, Zhao Yang was displeased that he did not notice someone releasing a sigh of relief.

"Aunt Laura, please keep the food here. I will call you once he finished eating." Alevia began to serve the dishes to Zhao Yang. Watching this scene from the sidelines, Aunt Laura could not help but rethink their relationship. Aunt Laura finally figured out the identity of Zhao Yang when she was in the kitchen, arranging the food for him. He was a pretty famous public figure who has already appeared in Forbes more than five times.

He had a cold, stoic face in every single picture. But now, Zhao Yang was behaving like an obedient puppy infront of Alevia. Who would dare to order around the king of hell. Only Alevia would do that.

She quietly scurried out of the room thinking about Zhao Yang's surname. His surname belong to one of the four prestigious family. Plus his IQ was so high and Aunt Laura knew that every direct descendant in the prestigious family were very intelligent. So she could not help but raise her suspicions that Zhao Yang should be the heir of the Zhao family.

On the other hand, Zhao Yang was enjoying his life so much. For the first time, Zhao Yang enjoyed the pleasure of an exclusive treatment from his Ice goddess. His only crush. The crush of a man who can't touch any woman except the girl he like. But thinking about how she is treating him like an experienced one, he could not contain the green eyed monster in him. He wondered whether she ever took care of her stupid boyfriend like this.

"Have you ever took care of him like this as well?" Alevia's mind went blank when he suddenly asked this question. Soon she related that he must be talking about her soon to be ex-boyfriend since she knew that he liked her. She looked up only to see him clearly sulking. Alevia's lips twitched seeing a 22 year old sulking like a toddler.

"No. You're the first." His reaction was faster than the speed of light. His entire face lit up like a kid in the Christmas. But suddenly his face fell, again.

"Then, how come you are so experienced in taking care of an injured man. And you are also skillful at feeding me." Alevia debated whether she should just reveal the truth so she was internally debating the pros and cons if saying the truth. But like a possessed woman, she just blurted out the truth.

"I used to take care of my brothers." She shouldn't have said this. How could she just reveal such important news? How could she say that she has brothers? Because everyone knew that the young miss Alevia did not belong to the Lu family but to a mysterious family who people should never offend.

"Used to?" He asked with a very confused expression.

"Hmmm. I was sent to the Lu family." Alevia explained clearly. Even she herself did not know why she was answering his questions.

"Oh. How many brothers do you have?" His face was full of restless curiosity.

"Three. The oldest is 23 years old. the next one is 21 years old. Then me, 19 years old. My younger brother is 6 years old. He will turn 7 in a few months." Like a possessed woman, she blurted out. But it's too late to take back what she said. If she could turn the time to when she met him at the alleyway, will she do the same thing? Well.... she would still do the same thing.

"Oh. Do you see them now." He asked with a genuine concern and curiosity with no bad intentions.

"Mmmm. If I got time, I might call them once in a while." Alevia did not know why she kept answering all the questions with honest truth. But she was willing to answer his questions without any ounce of hesitation.

"Do they know that you got boyfriend?" This time, his face was just emotionless. Zhao Yang did not want her to see his jealous face so he masked himself very well. If he decided to mask his emotions, no one could read it. Same goes for Alevia. If Alevia knew him personally really well, she will be able to read his emotions and thoughts like he was an open book. But she was not that close to him so she did not know that the man was drowning in vinegar.

"They don't need to know." She simply answered the question. It was true though. She never said to them that she had a boyfriend. Partly because she never treated that guy as such.

"Ah. Why?" Zhao Yang lost the grip on his emotions due to the shock he received from Alevia's words.

"I will only introduce my boyfriend whom I love and am sure that my family would approve." Zhao Yang's mind went momentarily blank. Afterall he used to believe that she liked his boyfriend and that he should not interfere in her happiness. He thought that he was too dangerous for her and that her boyfriend will give a safe life for her. But hearing that she does not love the man once again made him remember the unconditional love he had towards the woman in front of him.

"Does that mean you don't like him?" His face was full of hope that Alevia could not help but give the true answer for his question.

"Absolutely no. Who would like a man like him? A two faced cheater. My taste is not bad." Zhao Yang grinned from ear to ear after hearing her badmouthing her boyfriend.

"But why do have him as your boyfriend?" This was a question which bugged him for a long time.

"That Chen Yufan seemed to be scheming against me with Lu Ruolan. Haven't you heard the phrase 'Keep you friends close but your enemies closer'? So, I kept him as my boyfriend." The way she said was very nonchalant. This attitude made the already lovesick Zhao Yang fall head over heals in love with her all over again. Hopelessly in love with her.

"But why do you have to keep him as your boyfriend? A friend or acquaintance should suffice, right?"

"I broke up with him already." Just like that, she dropped the final blow to his mind that it went blank once again.

"That means I can pursue you now." He said to himself. Alevia looked up so fast that it felt like it would just break any moment. Seeing him, she realised that the man did not seemed to notice that he spoke out aloud.
