So, a test of the leaders' intelligence. Should be intresting. It was a few days later. Wind had gatthered all the groups to a clearing on Clear Group territory. Apparently, this is where the two leaders would "fight". Except, it wasn't really fighting. Probably because Thin would never have agreed if it was.
The three groups all gathered in the clearing right at mid-day. Stream Group was slightly late but no one cared.
"Whenever you're ready," Fade said.
Wind flicked his tail. "Are you two ready?"
The two cats nodded.
"Then you can start." Wind flicked his tail again.
Fade immediately leaped towards Thin. Thin dodged and Fade knocked her down and was on top of her before she knew it. Thin pushed her off and jumped up.
Thin jumped at Fade from the side, scrathing Fade (without claws, of course). Fade whirled around and jumped onto Thin but Thin ran out of the way and Fade fell onto the grass. Thin jumped onto Fade. Fade struggled to get the cat off her. Thin jumped off and batted her leg. Fade jumped at her but, pretending her leg was hurt, she was unable to pin her down.
Fade used her other paw to scrath Thin's shoulder and knock her down. Thin rolled over and pulled herself to her paws. Fade ran over and swiftly bit Thin's other shoulder. With both legs weakened, Thin pretended it was hard for her to walk and she tried to scratch Fade but she missed. Fade knocked her over again and pretended to claw Thin's throat.
"Fade wins the first round!" Wind yowled.
Fade jumped off of Thin.
"Time for the second round. Get ready,"
Thin went back to her original starting position. Second round. I can't mess up anymore. Thin thought. There's only three rounds.
When the two cats were ready Wind meowed, "You may start."
Thin jumped at Fade and quickly changed direction to come at her from the side. She clawed Fade and then pinned her down.
Fade growled and scratched Thin's underbelly while pinned.
Thin jumped off quickly and whirled around to knock Fade over. Instead of knocking her over, Thin scratched the back of Fade's neck. Fade whirled and bit Thin's shoulder. Thin ran around and jumped on Fade's back. The cat fell over under Thin's weight. Thin was small, but not that small.
Fade jumped up and pushed her off before turning around and scrathing Thin's side. Thin knocked her over and pretended to bite her throat.
"Thin wins!" Wind said. Thin jumped off of Fade.
"Last round! The tiebreaker!" Wind waited for them to get ready. "You may start."
Fade jumped at Thin and Thin rolled beneath her. Thin jumped up off the ground, landing on her feet. She turned to Fade and clawed her shoulder. Fade pretended her shoulder was now hurt.
Thin jumped over Fade and clawed at her side. Fade whirled slightly slower than usual and batted Thin's legs so they fell out from beneath her. Fade proceeded to leap on top of Thin. Thin quickly rolled over before Fade had hold of her. She wiggled out of her grasp.
Thin jumped forward, escaping Fade as she tried to pin her back down again.
It went on like that for a while. Until finally...
Thin pinned Fade down. Fade squirmed beneath her and tried to roll out from under Thin. Thin then pretended to claw Fade's underbelly multiple times. Until Wind finally announced, "Thin wins!"
Thin jumped off of Fade.
"Thin has won the fight and therefore she gets to keep her territory."
"Not fair!" Fade exclaimed. "I want a rematch!"
"Rules are rules, Fade," Wind said. "Thin won the fake fight fairly and therefore she wins and gets to keep her territory just as we decided."
Fade growled. "It's my territory though! I chased out Forest Group!"
The cats in Clear Group gasped.
"You chased out Forest Group? Just like you made us change our names?" one of his cats cried.
"Yes," Fade hissed. "And I'll do it again."
"Wait, who was Forest Group?" Thin asked.
"Didn't they tell you when you took them in?" Wind looked at White who shook her head. "White, tell her."
White looked at her paws. "Thin, Forest Group was me, Gold, Silver, Maple, and Pine," she said. "I was the leader of Forest Group."
