THE WAREHOUSE 10

"A damned mess." Carl ran his hand through his long and smooth Hyuga black hair as he sat up on his bed, sighing in frustration at how the Naruto world ended in such a disaster; a world ending apocalypse. "I'll have to add some defensive measures against getting whole damned moons chucked down on me again from now on. Hell, I'll have to watch out for even planets and suns being chucked at me in the future. That will definitely have to be on the list to be studied. Can't be too paranoid, right?"

In his original life, when Carl had heard about some of the contingency plans that the governments were exploring, like what to do if aliens invaded or if the zombie apocalypse happened, he had thought it was simply a waste of money, playing make believe so they could hustle a paycheck. But now he found himself in the unique position of realizing that he really should form his own crazy think tank committee to come up with countermeasures to absolutely mad scenarios like what had just happened in the last world.

Getting up from his bed, Carl walked down the stairs and out of his cozy little Warehouse home's front door. The shelving and storage in his Warehouse was still the same as before, loaded up with dimensional storage items that kept his resources organized; Carl made his way to the nearby wall that held all the various additions and pocket worlds he had been collecting.

Throwing open the door that was labeled "Ninja Clan", Carl entered and found himself just inside the Hyuga clan compound's gates. Everything looked the same as it had back in Konoha, the traditional Japanese compound was very familiar to him after a ten year long span in the world.

Spreading out his senses, Carl immediately identified the various bodies of the Hyuga clan members lying in their beds in stasis. He had already learned before the Naruto Fanfiction world that the Silver Dragonflight that followed him from world to world remained in stasis while they were in between worlds, and only woke up in the new world.

So he quite relieved when he saw his parents, Hiashi and Himari, and his sisters Hinata, Hanabi, and Hayami laying in their beds in stasis. He still made time to check on them in person and made sure they looked like they were fine.

He was also pleasantly surprised to see Naruko in her room next to Hinata's room. Even though Carl had brought her parents back to life, and she began living with them full time, the Hyugas had kept Naruko's room available for her as a symbol that she was always welcome with them.

Carl gratefully smiled at what it implied of Naruko's mindset that she showed up in stasis here in the Hyuga compound instead of over in the Silver Dragonflight area.

Spreading his senses further, he was happy to see the rest of his girlfriends lying in stasis in their rooms in the Hyuga Compound; he also checked in on each of them personally. He wasn't sure if they would have given their allegiance to the Hyuga clan or the Silver Dragonflight in order to get their ticket to travel the Jumpchain Airline.

It looked like, since his girlfriends knew him as a Hyuga while he was in that world, they had completely accepted joining him and his clan, completely showing their sincerity in dating him.

Once he was satisfied that all his close loved ones were with him and not lost back in the burning world, Carl decided that he would spend a short time creating a census of who had joined him in the jumps. It wouldn't take too long with his technology.

Mentally interfacing with the VI, Carl began sending out probes to scan and record all the new land that was added to his Warehouse while making a census record of everyone that had joined him in his Jumpchain journey through the Hyuga clan.

Since he had been working on assimilating Konoha mostly through the Silver Flight Trading Consortium, he wasn't surprised by the smaller numbers of people that had joined the Hyuga clan.

There was a reason that he had used the Silver Dragonflight and the SFTC in order to try to recruit as many people as he could. The Hyuga clan had a history in the Naruto world. Ignore for a moment the number of enemies they had made. Even their allies would have found it a difficult prospect to put down their pride and swear allegiance to a clan that they saw as equal or lesser to them.

But if they were to swear allegiance to a consortium that owned the very land they lived on, that they bought their daily food from, and that fundamentally changed their lives for the better through their goods and services? Well, at least there was a higher chance to recruit them, then.

After personally looking in on his family and girlfriends, Carl looked a bit further afield and realized that the Hyuga clan compound was located in one corner of the Hunting/Grazing Grounds. They were situated in the middle of a biome from the Naruto world, with all the animals and plants he had added, and the few buildings and people that owed their fealty to the Hyugas were there.

That was one of the amazing things about the Hunting/Grazing Grounds from the Dinosaur Gauntlet. As long as he continued going to different worlds, the space was practically infinite, expanding to accommodate more land, animals, and plants as needed. And apparently towns and cities, as was apparent from the present showing.

Satisfied with the state of affairs in the Hyuga Clan in stasis, Carl returned to the Warehouse to check the other new doors. His next stop was the door marked "Silver Dragonflight". It was as Carl expected; when he entered the door into the Dragon Hold, he found the members lying in stasis. After sending out his senses, he saw that their location in the Hunting/Grazing Grounds was vastly expanded with the additions from the Naruto Fanfiction jump that had sworn loyalty to him.

After extending his senses past the Dragon's holdings, Carl discovered that the land immediately outside the Silver Dragonflight Hold followed what he had built in New Uzushio and the surrounding islands and oceans. There were some changes to the area Carl surveyed. The mountain that the Silver Dragonflight Hold had been placed on had been expanded to fit the growing population of the Silver Dragons, which was good to see.

And outside the area that New Uzushio had claimed, there were foothills, islands, mountains, deserts, forests, plains, and other such terrains newly placed in the Hunting/Grazing Grounds. Carl immediately realized that the expansion was the lands where all the villages, towns, and cities that had a SFTC branch were located; along with the areas that had decided to swear allegiance to him through the Silver Dragonflight just before everything burned.

Carl felt satisfaction at seeing all the people he had gathered to populate New Uzushio there. Sending out the Yamato and some drones to take a census, he watched as the information began flowing in.

Just outside New Uzushio lands lay the rest of the lands of Konoha and all his allies there, both old and new. As Carl was flying around and scanning the locations and people, he continually read their recorded information as it was entered into the database by the probes.

The allied village of Suna being present didn't particularly surprise him. He had spent a lot of time there through one of his blood clones, growing close to Temari, Gaara, and Kankuro. He enjoyed learning the local customs, and generally having fun with his friends.

But the villages of Kiri, Kumo, and Iwa being present completely surprised him. Carl hadn't ever really tried to reach out to those villages and Kages, so seeing how quickly they accepted a fealty oath to a complete stranger did somewhat surprise him, since he knew how prestigious they were among their people.

When someone gets to that level of social hierarchy, it's likely they also start to develop a certain amount of pride. And that's why it was a bit surprising to Carl that they were so quick to grab onto the metaphorical branch that Carl had extended to them when they were metaphorically drowning.

Not that he wasn't happy that they were now considered part of his people in this crazy journey he was on. Anyone who became a Kage was obviously very talented, so Carl would welcome them with open arms; and anyone they trained was obviously highly skilled. As a result, he now had quite a lot of skilled ninja as part of his forces.

The only thing that caused him any amount of hesitation was the thought that he would have to spend plenty of time in the next world, building personal relationships with the various Kages, since they would now be his people. Trust and loyalty had to go both ways in the chain of command for everything to run smoothly. And trust couldn't happen unless they got to know each other. But that's what his blood clones would be for.

Once Carl had finished with the population census in the Silver Dragonflight area, he once more returned to the Warehouse. The next door he entered was labeled "Summons World". He assumed it was a result of having completed the Summoner of the Divine scenario, and that he would find the few Summoning Clans he had contracted there.

Upon entry, Carl realized that he was in the central location between the lands of the four Divine clans. He was assuming that the Summons World would also be located somewhere in the Hunting/Grazing Ground.

Upon seeing where he exited, Carl expected to only see the Divine Dragon Clan and the Divine Tiger Clan, since those were the only Divine clans that he had signed the contract for.

So he was completely shocked to see that the lands of the Divine Birds, headed by the Vermillion Bird, and the Divine Tortoises, headed by the Black Tortoise, had also been placed in the Hunting/Grazing Grounds.

Carl spent some time flying around at his top speed to verify which clans had joined him. He was somewhat shocked to discover that every Summons Clan had somehow pledged loyalty to him and joined him on his journey. He was actually a bit shocked at seeing the vast lands of the summons realm spread out under him.

He hadn't spent much time interacting with the Divine Bird and Divine Tortoise clans because he frankly didn't expect them to accept him as a summoner, and based on the time it took him to become the Sage of the other two Divine clans, he didn't expect to be able to attempt to win them over in the small time he had.

He knew that all four leaders of the Divine Clans knew about his blood clones, so the fact that they never asked him to sign the contract and send them a blood clone to begin working with them caused Carl to assume that they weren't interested in becoming one of his contracted clans.

Carl spent some time hovering above the Divine Clan's lands, looking down from above at the massive lands that spread as far as the eye could see.

'I've really no idea if that impression I had was a result of the Vermillion Bird and Black Tortoise's genuine disinterest in having me sign the contract, or if they felt like they had plenty of time left, so they would wait their turn to sign on with me and train me. Only for the disaster to prematurely force their hands. Guess I'll be having some interesting conversations in the next world.'

It was very apparent to Carl that his decision to summon messengers from the summoning clans in order to relay information about the disaster of the Otsutsuki attack. He could only imagine that the Azure Dragon and the White Tiger had called the Vermillion Bird and the Black Tortoise into a conference and explained what was happening.

The other two Diving Clan leaders must have pledged themselves to Carl as their summoner in some manner, because not only were the clans that Carl contracted there, but every single summons clan that owed fealty to the four Divine Clans was also present.

The penultimate leaders of the Divine Clans had somehow pledged their fealty to Carl, and subsequently their entire organization under them had been bound to the oath as well.

Many emotions bloomed in Carl at that realization. He was energized for the challenges he would face. Determination to fulfill his responsibilities, and do what was right for his followers, flowed through him.

Carl did have a few slight concerns about his ability to fulfill his new duties, since he didn't even know what those were at the moment. They couldn't properly be labeled as doubts, because he knew he would overcome any problems that came up. But if he didn't even have that small amount of concern running through him, how could he be alert to problems developing among his people and be ready to solve them?

A feral grin then grew on Carl's face at the thought of just how much power he could bring to bear with all of his summoned creatures. The thought of bringing out such enormous beasts that were so powerful they could literally land on and squish his enemies thrilled him.

The various summons he had available to him were far bigger and more badass than the life threatening bosses that he and his friends faced all those years ago in the Sword Art Online world. A single summons of the Snake Clan would have wiped them all out, let alone one from the Divine Clans.

Despite starting out as a baseline human so very many years ago, Carl had spent many years as a beast and a hunter. Many of his perks had worked to enhance that hunting and predator mindset. So the idea of having so very many different hunting partners available, and so many different methods of enjoying the hunt, excited him.

While he was meditating for a few hours and floating in the air above the center of the Summons World, Carl couldn't help but think about random things, especially the leaders of the Divine Clans.

Many proud existences, throughout all of time, would rather die than submit to anyone, no matter what. So the fact that not one, but four, of those proud existences and all their relatives and subordinates decided to follow him…

Well, that made him quite a bit prideful as well.

Carl paused and spent some time examining that Pride in his very being. He tasted the edges of that Pride, and how it fit in with the rest of his being. How did his Pride affect how he felt and interacted with people?

A thought flitted across his mind, and Carl pursued and caught it.

There was more than one type of Pride, and there was quite a deal of related information from his original life that affected him on a fundamental level. His original mortal life helped build the core of his personality. So even though he was vastly different, and far more experienced now, he was still affected by many things that happened way back when.

Carl thought back on his original life and realized that there were many people he had interacted with who wanted to squash any pride he had. They wanted to squash any satisfaction he had in his own achievements. They wanted to destroy any dignity he had, in order to build themselves higher; make themselves feel better.

Those people seemed to HATE that Carl had any pride in anything. They seemed to desire to squish him down until he was nothing but a mewling slave for them, a yes man for their agendas, whatever they may be.

He got first place in a class spelling bee? Great! Except his teacher subtly mocked him for not even placing in the school-wide spelling bee, as if his achievement in spelling was NOTHING, now that he failed to place in the school-wide spelling bee.

Then there were other types of pride squashing, of refusing to acknowledge his achievements, and belittle him as a person…

Ah, well. Such things are long past.

After some time, Carl recovered and went about his normal in between world's routine. He showered, he ate breakfast, and he drank Root Beer. And he used Spere 037's terminal to add all his perks from the Naruto Fanfiction world into his base body. Once he hit complete, he blacked out as normal.

Waking up, he was still feeling fine from his last meal and shower, so Carl decided to go ahead and move straight to the next world. Standing in front of the Jumpchain kiosk, he powered it up and saw his balance of CP starting out was 3450 cp. After he opened the jump document, the 1000 cp was added on, and his new balance was 4450 cp.

Desolate Era, the Three Realms.

Trillions of years ago, this land was faced with constant squalor and slaughter propagated by those known as Fiendgods, powerful practitioners of cultivation birthed by the heavens.

Their emergence created chaos across the land for trillions of years, causing countless Dynasties to fall, until only one was left standing. The Grand Xia Dynasty, which has unified the land for the past trillion years under their colossal influence and power.

Now, centuries after this world shaking event, a boy by the name of Ji Ning has escaped his fate of reincarnation due to an attack upon the Six Paths of Reincarnation, and will enter this glorious world.

This world, known as the Grand Xia, along with the countless other worlds that make up the mighty Three Realms, will soon be caught up in a storm that nobody will be able to hide from.

The attack on the Paths of Reincarnation was nothing but the herald of the world destroying conflict to come, and it would be wise to tread cautiously. Unlike usual, you'll be here for three decades – it would be unfair to throw you in a world where power is oh so dependent on time only to give you one decade of it.

Now, leaving you here by yourself for that long would hardly be fair, so please, accept these: 1000 CP (cultivator points).

"Well, another world that I've read about." Carl chuckled aloud as he talked to himself, bored of the silence. With a mental thought to the VI, quiet music began filling the Warehouse while Carl continued focusing on the jump document and the world he was about to enter.

From his impression of the story, Ji Ning was a pretty cool guy. He originally lived in modern Earth and died from a genetic disease when he turned 18. When he was going through the lines in the afterlife to be judged, he was pulled out of line to meet the Head Judge of the Dead, who was also from Earth from thousands of years before. So the Head Judge considered them to be fellow "villagers" and gave Ji Ning a little helpful benefit to a fellow "villager".

He gave Ji Ning a mental impression of a portrait of the Goddess Nuwa. The use of the portrait would be that when Ji Ning meditated on the picture, it would help him build the strength of his soul. And since a lot of the aspects of cultivation depended on the strength of the soul, it would help Ji Ning be ahead of the curve in his next life.

While he was alive, Ji Ning suffered from a genetic disease that would ensure his death at a young age. Because of his weak physique and pending death from his disease while he was alive, Ji Ning did self study, since he wasn't strong enough for regular school.

After some time, he received a sum of money from his parents and began playing the stock market for something to do, and he was very good at it. He soon became very wealthy. Upon his death it was all donated to orphanages, since his parents had their own wealth. His act of donating the money for children's benefit earned him a pretty hefty amount of Karma for someone who only lived 18 years.

As a result of his Karma, Ji Ning was going to be reincarnated into one of the two heavenly realms and would have regained his past-life's memories after 16 years so he could use the Nuwa Portrait to strengthen himself even more.

While waiting in line for his reincarnation slot, he saw that there were six paths of reincarnation. Two heavenly realms, two mortal, and two underworld realms.

It just so happened that while Ji Ning was waiting in line to drink Granny Meng Po's Soup of Forgetfulness, there was an attack on the Land of the Dead by a horde of black dragon-like beings who were rampaging and destroying souls left and right.

In order to escape the destruction that was raining down, Ji Ning jumped into the closest tunnel of reincarnation, one of the tunnels for the mortal world reincarnation. He also didn't end up drinking the Soup of Forgetfulness that Grandma Meng was feeding everyone to make them forget their memories.

So he ended up being born again in the mortal world in the Ji clan with his past life's memories intact and the Portrait of Nuwa inscribed in his mind. And that's how Jin Ning began his journey.

After reading the intro of the jump document, Carl chuckled at the line about time and power.

Unlike usual, you'll be here for three decades – it would be unfair to throw you in a world where power is oh so dependent on time only to give you one decade of it.

The reason Carl found it amusing was that 30 years was basically a single drop in an ocean of water. In a lot of these cultivation worlds the main character's story will last millions of years or longer before they reach the ultimate peak. So two more decades added to this world wasn't going to give him the time needed to get very far in cultivation.

After a certain point in their cultivation, time for the cultivators in this verse stopped being judged in years, centuries, and millennia, and started being counted as eras and then chaos cycles. The Three Realms was a chaosworld, and a chaos cycle was the counted as the time it took a chaos world to be born and die, which was something like six quadrillion years.

And the more powerful cultivators that lived and adventured in the endless expanse outside of the Three Realms could live up to 108,000 chaos cycles before they died. The only way to live longer was to make a break through to become an Eternal Emperor, which would be the point at which they were truly eternal.

So a grand total of 30 years wasn't going to get him very high up in the grand scheme of things.

"Thinking about all the amazing treasures that Ji Ning found in this world, and judging from the last cultivation world I went to, there's going to be a lot of things I'll want to buy." Carl muttered to himself in dismay as he stared at the screen, already thinking about the dilemma he was going to be in. "The thing I like most about these cultivation worlds is what is also the most annoying. They have some amazingly powerful abilities and items to pick up, but as a result they also cost a lot. And this is the 15th jump, so I need to keep some CP stockpiled for after the jump."

"I've just got to keep in mind that I don't need to be the best of the best, since I'll only be here for 30 years. Get a few nice things and then after 30 years I'll get my little prize from my absent Jump-Chan and go back for my girls. If there are some nice things that I miss out on because they are too expensive, then so be it." Carl continued scrolling down the document.

Origins: All origins start with a level of Cultivation at the middle of the Xiantian Realm, except for Hired Expert and the Child of a Superpower, who are at the peak of Xiantian Realm. You may choose both your age and gender freely, as cultivators care little for these physical qualities.

"Lies!" Carl laughed. "Cultivators are people too and care a great deal about their identity, gender and sexuality. Why else would there be the trope of the Young Master wooing the Cold Beauty? Well, whatever."

Wandering Expert (Free): You wake up one morning to find yourself within an entirely new world, without new memories weighing you down, and nothing but several beast skin cloaks to aid you on your journey.

Tribesman (-100): You grew up in one of the Tribes of the Stillwater region, constantly hunting and fighting to survive against Diremonsters and other Beasts that roam the area around your Tribal Grounds. This day to day life bored you quickly, however, and thus you now find yourself on a journey along the road to Immortality, leaving your tribal origins behind.

Hired Expert (-150): Years ago you freely roamed the land, killing Diremonsters and more mundane creatures alike, collecting treasures and cultivating. But those days are now long past, and nowadays you spend your time in the service of a tribe or one of the major superpowers around Swallow Mountain. Life isn't all that bad, but it could be better.

Child of a Superpower (-200): The superpowers of the Swallow Mountain region of the Stillwater Commandery – the Ji Clan, the Kou Clan, the Ironwood Clan, the Riverbank Clan, the Blackfire Cult, and finally Snowdragon Mountain. From one of these six superpowers you were born, or adopted as a child. Due to this, you have lived with the equivalent of a golden spoon in your mouth, and both the temperament and stature to show it. Your connections may be far and wide, but do not let this lead to arrogance. Personal power is the most important thing in this world, and not having any will lead to your downfall.

XX

"Hmm." Carl rubbed his chin in thought as he looked at the options. "I'm definitely going to be male. And I'll choose the Child of a Superpower. That will work pretty well in connection with all the people I'm bringing with me, so they have a ready-made clan to be folded into."

"And as for my age…" Carl paused in thought. If he picked too young an age for his cultivation rank, he would stand out as too big of a prodigy that might turn into a threat later. It would invite assassins from rivals who wouldn't want to see him grow. If he picked too old, he would be laughed at as weak and of no talent.

And if his history in the world saw him as being viewed as not talented; when his perks kicked in and he suddenly began rising in ranks quickly, it would make everyone think he had found a supreme treasure or had a fortuitous encounter.

Then random murder hobos would be asking themselves just what kind of treasures could allow a formerly poor cultivation potential individual to suddenly rise in ranks so quickly. Greed would blossom in their hearts, and they would want to steal the treasures for themselves, causing no end of headaches for him and his people.

Even if he claimed he didn't have any treasures, the murder hobos wouldn't accept that. "Sure, that's exactly what someone who is trying to hide his treasures would say!"

It was best to avoid all that in a world where he was very likely to outclassed by those at the very top. And even some of the smaller fish would have their own backing, causing him endless headaches when he wouldn't kowtow to them.

"Back to being a small fish in a big pond, as opposed to a big fish in a little pond." Carl muttered. "At least at first."

"If I remember right, Ji Ning had reached the early Xiantian realm at the age of 11, and he was considered quite exceptional among his tribe. He then entered the next stage, the Zifu stage at around age 16 or so." Carl considered the issue.

"By choosing Child of a Superpower, I'll start at Peak Xiantian realm. So I think 14 or 15 years old would be a good age to start at. Let's go with 15. Making Zifu realm by the age of 16 shouldn't be too bad."

Carl nodded and made his selection and saw his points drop by 200 cp.

XX

Location: The world as it is under the Grand Xia Dynasty has been divided into 3600 Commanderies and four oceans. As you can tell, this means that there is a great amount of land to pick from, thus I shall simplify things and allow you to choose one of these locations in the Stillwater Commandery. Roll 1d7 for Location. You may pick any place you want for 50 cp. You arrive a month before Ji Ning's birth.

1) Ji Clan West Prefecture City: The headquarters of the west prefecture area owned by the Ji Clan, here is where Ji Ning will soon be born, and start his journey on the path of cultivation.

2) Snowdragon Mountain: The territory controlled by Snowdragon Mountain, possibly the most ruthless and power-hungry of the superpowers present in the Stillwater Commandery.

3) Serpentwing Lake: A great lake teeming with aquatic monsters, here the great beast Serpentwing, a late Xiantian Stage Diremonster, has dwelled for the past thousand years alongside its numerous children and other monsters. You better get moving quickly.

4) Stillwater City: The Capital of the Commandery of Stillwater, controlled by the Northmont Clan. Here the Raindragon Guard, as well as many of the important delegates of the Commandery, stay. There is much business to be had and plenty of opportunities abound.

5) Black-White College: You find yourself in front of the main building of the number one cultivation school in Stillwater City and can choose to either apply or simply look around. Be warned, however, their requirements are quite harsh. Depending on your purchases here, you may very well succeed in entering, even at such a low level.

6) City of Ten Thousand Swords: The main brand of the Ji Clan's prefectural power lies here, in their central prefecture city. Both the Patriarch and his sister live here, as well as many of their most talented children.

7) Free Pick: Quite appropriately for the genre, you got a lucky roll. Pick from any location in Stillwater Commandery for free.

XX

Carl smiled at seeing the Black-White College. As it said, it was the number one cultivation school in Stillwater City, and it was the school that Ji Ning attended.

So he planned to enter it so he could gain access to the better resources. While his Uchiha Jutsu Archive should get him most all the knowledge he needed, having access to the cultivation resources, weapons, medicines, equipment, and teachers would help him immensely to advance in the cultivation methods of this world.

He could also finally use his Entrance Fee item that he got way back in the HSDK world to ensure he entered the Black-White College. He really thought he would have gotten more use out of that item back when he purchased it.

Looking at the options, Carl chose to pay 50 cp to arrive at Stillwater City instead of in front of the Black-White College. He would enter Black-White College at some point during his stay, but he wanted to advance to Zifu Realm first.

And using that time before he advanced from Xiantian to Zifu, he would be able to explore the Capital City, make sure his people were all set up properly, and do some studying about whatever his Jutsu Archive picked up from this world.

XX

Perks: All perks except general ones are discounted for the corresponding Origin. 100 CP perks are free for their origin.

General Perks

Cultivation (Free): In this world, people use the art of cultivation to increase their powers. This practice is mostly divided into two ranks: Ki refiners, who generally rely on magical techniques and treasures to fight, powered by the Elemental Essences they absorb, and Fiendgod Body Refiners, who strive to turn their bodies into those of the ancient Fiendgods and utilize divine abilities with vastly varying effects, such as increasing their size, adding extra arms, or even strengthening their bodies beyond their already impressive levels, making their physical abilities and general battle prowess much higher than those of a Ki refiner in exchange for lacking the ability to use treasures and weapons.

Thus, you get a technique from each of those two types of cultivation to study. Be warned though, that although Fiendgod Body Refiners are much more powerful, their ways of cultivation may be painful to the extreme, or extremely hard to advance in, resulting in decades of effort for just a bit of progress.

There are many stages to cultivation, starting with the Houtian Stage, which signals the very start of a journey, as well as the increase of a cultivator's lifespan to over a hundred years.

"Heh, completely skipped that stage with the powers of Jump Chain." Carl laughed.

Then comes the Xiantian Stage, where the body is completely reforged for perfections, and the cultivator's lifespan increases to over two hundred years.

The third stage is called Zifu, in which the practitioner forms their own "Violet Palace" which contains their liquefied Ki energy, and enables them to live over four hundred years.

The fourth stage, called Wanxiang, is the stage of manifestation, where the practitioner gains access to Divine Will, and increases their lifespan to eight hundred years.

The fifth stage, called Primal, gives the practitioner the ability to live forever (Note: not actually forever), with no limits on their lifespan.

Carl snorted in amusement. "Isn't that just like these novels. The main character starts at the very bottom, and has to fight and claw their way to the top. So to the lower level cultivators, as far as they know, the Primal Daoists do practically live forever, even though they have a limited lifespan."

After that comes the Void God or Earth Immortal Stage.

When a practitioner reaches the Void God or Earth Immortal Stage and attempts to progress to the next level, they shall be met with a final Tribulation. This is a test sent down by the heavens in the form of Heavenly Wind, Fire, and Lightning strikes that they must either bear or face total soul annihilation.

Then they must pass a test of their Dao Heart in the form of the Demonheart Tribulation, where they shall be tested to see if they are truly dedicated in the matters of Cultivation, and whether they are willing to abandon everything for its sake, though it can be resisted with a powerful Heartforce.

If they succeed in this Tribulation, they shall reach the Celestial Immortal Stage for Ki Refiners, or the Empyrean God Stage for Body Refiners, where they shall break free of the mortal coil and the five elements.

After that, there are two more stages for both paths of Cultivation: True Immortal for Ki Refiners, or True God for Body Refiners, and then Ancestral Immortal (also known as Daofather) for Ki Refiners, and Elder God for Body Refiners.

Finally, there is the very pinnacle of power in the Three Realms, the World Level. This is the level of Cultivation Pangu was at when he created the Pangu Chaosworld, and Nuwa similarly reached this stage.

While there are even higher levels of power to be grasped, they need not be mentioned for now, and you won't be able to reach them during this jump.

On a final note, once every three hundred years after a practitioner steps into the Zifu Realm, they will be met with a minor tribulation, which will build up in power until finally, they shall face one major tribulation every nine hundred years. Three centuries a Tribulation, nine a Calamity; this shall continue until they either reach the Celestial Immortal Stage, or have their souls shattered.

For the purposes of this perk, you'll be given a technique in both Body Refining and Ki Refining that will last you until the Wanxiang Stage, at which point you'll have to fend for yourself. For 200 cp you can get one that will allow you to advance to the Celestial Immortal or Empyrean God level, using both types of cultivation.

Regardless of whether you buy the technique that allows you to train to the Celestial Immortal or Empyrean God level or not, the technique you get is of the highest quality, and you won't need to worry about your future growth being crippled by using it. Your cultivation technique may be aligned towards whatever Dao you wish it to be.

"I don't really need to pay the 200 cp for techniques to advance to the Celestial Immortal or Empyrean God level, since I'll probably have access to those through my totally cheat-like Jutsu Archive." Carl smirked in amusement. "And if not, then the Black-White College will be an option."

"But as for which Dao to pursue?" Carl hummed in thought. "Ji Ning followed the Way of Sword. He pursued that Dao all the way to the very top. Should I follow that Dao as well? Follow in the footsteps of the version of him that I read about?"

Seeing a footnote on the word Dao, Carl clicked it.

The Dao: A Dao is a fundamental concept or building block of the Universe; there are multiple different Daos for multiple different things, all of which can go from water to the concept of Death. Daos are in that way all the things present in the Universe (Chaosworld).

The Stages of the Dao are:

· Basic: In which one is barely grasping the Dao around them, only truly having insight into something minimal, such as footwork, or sword skills, this allows one to be fairly sufficient at whatever it is they have reached at this level.

· Advanced: In which one is still barely grasping the Dao, but their insight into whatever they are practicing raises significantly, in other mundane worlds this person would be considered coming close to being a master.

· One With the World: This is the point in time when the barest hint of the Dao is achieved, not even truly being seen as the Dao, rather as a simple mastery of a technique or skill, anyone at this level is a true master of whatever they're doing in a mundane world, and some can even gain the ability to manifest things like water or fire depending on the Dao they're gaining insight into. You can let the world reinforce your actions, thereby achieving far more for the same amount of effort.

· Hint of the True Meaning of the Dao: At this point in time one has easily surpassed mastery in the mundane sense, and finally understand that what they are gaining insight into is the inner working of the Universe, at this stage the true struggle is understanding the profoundness of the Dao and not thinking of it in one term, rather as all it encompasses, when that is achieved, the next stage is reached.

· True Meaning of the Dao: At this point someone has finally managed to understand everything the Dao they're gaining insight into incorporates, most Zifu Disciples are at this level of comprehension of a lesser Dao, and with it can manifest even greater showings of their insight, some who have insight into the sword being able to throw out beams of concentrated sword energy, etc.

· Dao Domain: At this point one can fully use their Dao and incorporate it into their surroundings, for example someone with an insight into the raindrop being able to use it to create a localized rainstorm that cuts when the raindrops land, the caveat being of course that someone with a Dao Domain can also cancel this out or battle you with their own Domain. Most Wanxiang Adepts are at this stage, in a lesser Dao at least.

· Dao Path: At this point, the person has completely understood everything the Dao contains, all of its nuances and concepts to the point where they can completely manipulate this. Most of the people at this stage are at least at the Primal Daoist level, though some utterly freakish Wanxiang Adepts who have reached it also exist.

The 'Dao' or the 'Way' are the principles that uphold the functioning of the cosmos and within the Three Realms consist of 10 Heavenly Daos, 81 Grand Daos, and 108,000 lesser Daos. The Heavenly Daos are the most powerful and hardest to master Daos, followed by the Grand Daos and finally the lesser Daos being the weakest and easiest to master.

Heavenly Daos of the Three Realms

· The Heavenly Dao of Primordial Chaos

· The Heavenly Dao of Yin

· The Heavenly Dao of Yang

· The Heavenly Dao of Life

· The Heavenly Dao of Destruction

· The Heavenly Dao of Water

· The Heavenly Dao of Fire

· The Heavenly Dao of Wood

· The Heavenly Dao of Metal

· The Heavenly Dao of Earth

· (Also contains an incomplete set of Wind Daos, making the Dao of the Wind impossible to master in the Three Realms. You'll still be able to do so in other Chaosworlds if it is present in them, just not here.)

Looking further down the list, Carl saw some of the Grand Daos mentioned, but not all 81 of them, and none of the Lesser Daos were mentioned. But looking at the incomplete list, it seemed to follow the pattern of the Grand Daos being a derivative of the Heavenly Dao, namely the Grand Dao was only a part of the Heavenly Dao they were a part of.

For example under the Heavenly Dao of Water there is the Grand Dao of the Watersource. From what he could tell, this meant he should pick some Dao that he could connect with to eventually build up to a Heavenly Dao.

"Well, just because I pick some Dao for this Cultivation perk right now doesn't mean I couldn't study anything else in the future." Carl mused. "Of course I'm going to be cultivating both as a Ki Refiner and as a Fiendgod. So I could go for some lesser Dao of Fire for Ki refining, and the some lesser Dao of the Sword for Fiendgod cultivating."

One of the very first spells he ever learned to cast was a fire spell, way back in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer world. In the cultivation world of Against the Gods, he had chosen to gain the bloodline of the Golden Crow, as well as having the Evil God's Seed of Fire. Since he had been playing with fire for quite a while, he thought it appropriate to continue doing so here.

Aside from that, he had first learned the basics of the sword way back in the History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi world from his sensei Shigure. He had continued practicing through his journey, but he would like to spend some time here in a world where the Way of the Sword was a Grand Dao learning more so he could bring that back to Shigure in the future.

After he made those selections for his cultivation techniques, Carl moved on to the next perk.

Required Secondary Abilities (Free): The laws of this Universe are very different from those you are used to, and things such as moving faster than sound are possible for even the most base rank and file. Yet they find themselves lacking things like sonic booms. In this Universe and the ones you will travel to in the future, such protections will thusly continue to exist. In addition to this, spending countless years on a single task, or just living a normal life, also don't seem to be a problem for you anymore.

"Huh. A free stealth perk to avoid sonic booms, and an anti-boredom perk? How very odd, yet nice. Free is free. Yoink." Carl shrugged and didn't even bother thinking about it anymore as he moved on to scan the list of perks.

After scanning through the rest of the General Perks, Carl shook his head and moved on. He didn't want to be a Beast or Fiendgod instead of a human. Those creatures were always hunted in these kinds of worlds to make into pets, slaves, or killed for ingredients. Just doing the body refining of Fiendgod cultivation didn't exactly turn him into a naturally occurring Fiendgod. He would still be human shaped and sized, except when using certain techniques.

The Resolute Heart looked like a pretty good perk, but Carl had already purchased other perks that did the equivalent of giving him a strong Dao heart, in other words willpower and determination. So he saw no need to waste the CP.

The next perk that he was interested in was the 100 cp perk in the Wandering Expert section.

See None do None (-100): Sin in this world is a tangible thing, and if enough of it is committed (mostly through the murder of non-cultivators), the Heavens themselves will recognize your deeds and upon your tribulations, you would find them much harder than what would otherwise be the case. Commit even more sinful deeds, and your very appearance might even get tainted by the blinding light of Sin, letting everyone know who to target for a gain in Karmic Merit.

Screw all of that nonsense, you came here to party, and no way in hell will some karmic scale for the supercomputer of the Universe ruin that! Because of this, you find that people or other entities are generally unable to sense your Karma, or whether or not you lean more towards Evil or Good, and even if they are able to do so, they won't act on it. Directly seeing you commit these deeds, however, will allow them to make a judgment about your general disposition, and don't expect someone to let you go if you have done something to affect them personally.

In Ji Ning's story, at one point, he was on the verge of killing a particularly vile enemy. Just before Ji Ning's attack landed, the enemy threw out a storage treasure that could hold people. It was full of civilian non-cultivators. Ji Ning's attack landed and killed all those people.

Despite it not particularly being Ji Ning's fault, he still received all the bad Karma and was bathed in Sin Karma, which triggered the tribulation of Karmic Sin Flames.

So while Carl wasn't sure if all the people he had killed, or had his people kill, in the Stargate universe counted against his Karma here, he didn't want to take the chance. While none of those enemies could be classified as Cultivators, they were still following particularly vile and evil despots. But judging by Ji Ning's example, the universe just wouldn't care about the particulars.

It was best to just avoid the whole issue for only 100 cp.

The next section of perks for the Tribesman had nothing that interested Carl. But in the section for Hired Expert, he was interested in the 600 cp perk.

An Oath Taken (-600): The Will of the Heavens is such that any who dare enter the stairway into Immortality will forever be bound by their word (unless they're a Daofather) – when an oath to the heavens is uttered, there is no way for most to escape it without facing annihilation. A similar, and much more powerful oath, called the Lifeblood oath, holds even more grip over the person, in a way that no matter one's level of power, it will devour them if broken.

Not for you, however, because you're a cultivator! The whole point of your journey and understanding of yourself is to be unbound by any laws and free as the sky. If you allowed oaths such as this to hold you back, wouldn't that be the same as admitting defeat? Thus, any oaths that aim to bind you in any fashion simply fail to enact their consequences when broken. After all, it wouldn't do to suddenly have to make trips halfway across the endless Primordial Chaos because of some silly oath, would it?

In the original story, that was exactly what happened to Ji Ning. He went into one of those mysterious treasure lands. After passing all the tests, he had to swear a Lifeblood oath that when he reached a certain cultivation level, he must go to the school of the person who left the treasure land behind, which was a very far journey.

With Carl leaving the world after 30 years, the idea that he would be bound by those oaths and have to make the return trip through the Jump Chain in order to fulfill any oaths that may be forced on him by more powerful cultivators was not appealing. So Carl felt that the 600 cp spent was worth it.

Carl moved on to the Child of a Superpower section of perks. He first added in the free 100 cp perk for his origin, and then the 300 cp perk as well.

Healthy Eating (Free): Being one of the richest and most prosperous in Swallow Mountain means a lot of things, but what it means the most is that you also ate a lot of Diremonster meat in your childhood, which is naturally full of minerals and nutrients to help a growing child. As a consequence, the only word to describe you would be either "handsome" or "beautiful", as it is clear you're well bred and well raised, and it even shows in your demeanor, allowing you to present a calm cool façade to anyone giving a casual glance your way.

Treasures Galore (-150): Treasures are the life of a cultivator because they determine their ability to fight, buy other treasures, and generally survive. How could someone ever claim to be an expert without having something to show for all the blood, sweat, and tears they've spent? With this, such material wealth simply comes to you of its own accord. Finding a legendary sword at Xiantian level that would make even Wanxian Adepts green with envy? Just a regular Tuesday. Stockpiling so many different Immortal Estates you use them on and off? Might take a couple of decades. Finding the legacy of a supreme expert whose very power makes the hearts of others clench in Fear? Might happen at least once a jump, or once per cultivation stage.

"This perk. This right here is basically the deus ex plot device for helping the main characters level up from their humble beginnings." Carl chuckled. "A few treasures hunts might be amusing while I'm in world."

The 800 cp perk (400cp after discount) Freak of Nature was an attractive perk, since it would give him an unparalleled potential in one aspect of cultivation, like Heartforce, Sword Arts, or Spacetime. But Carl decided not to spend the cp. He already had perks for some elemental affinities that he could focus on, so he didn't need to split his attention into even more directions when he was only going to be in the world for 30 years.

Items and Gear: All Items respawn in the Warehouse after a week upon being destroyed unless stated otherwise.

Storage Treasure (Free): A basic, unranked storage treasure with some gold inside. It can be in any form you like and can store up to a few cubic meters of stuff. (Can be purchased multiple times for 50 cp)

Carl chose to make it into a basic storage ring. He already had better storage artifacts, so he wasn't excited over the item. But free was free, so he would take it.

As Carl looked through the rest of the items available, he was tempted by some of them. They were just that good for future cultivation and had been showcased in Ji Ning's adventures as being amazing.

Primaltwin (-600): This item is a pearl that is attuned to a single element of your choice. With methods detailed within a complementary jade slip, you could use this pearl to split your soul to create another body (which will weaken until your soul heals), which will be able to train as a Ki Refiner (with vastly increased training speed if you have a technique that synergizes with the body's element), allowing you to essentially have two lives, as well as training more quickly in whichever element the pearl is attuned to.

Carl was amused that the completely evil thing that Voldemort had done, splitting his soul, was something accomplished in this world pretty easily without the evilness of needing to murder some innocent. And the soul would heal up as well!

What would Tom Riddle have given to have been sent to a cultivation world? The world may never know.

The primaltwin would be a step beyond Carl's Blood Clones, since the primaltwin would be a complete separate body with the souls connected, instead of being a sort of drain on the amount of power that Carl has available for Blood Clones.

And in conjunction with another item that Ji Ning got later on, he could be able to use a clone technique to make 18 clones of each of his bodies, which would be 36 real and permanent bodies. Each of those bodies would be able to make Blood Clones and Shadow Clones, and it would just get quite overpowered.

The main thing that stopped Carl was the knowledge that the item, while rare, wasn't exactly unknown. With his Treasures Galore perk, it is highly likely that he'll run into at least one pearl at some point. So, Carl passed on purchasing such an expensive item.

Jindan Creation Methods (-800): You have gained possession of something that would be considered invaluable in the Three Realms, were its existence known. A Jindan creation and upgrade technique. Jindans are created when one reaches the Celestial Immortal Stage, and depending on the methods used to create them, they may have different levels of potency.

The weakest kind of Jindan (and the only one created in the Three Realms) is a third-rate one, created by simply absorbing the elemental energy of the world. A second-rate Jindan is created by absorbing the essence of many precious treasures, which boosts its power considerably. Finally, the first-grade Jindan is formed when an entire world multiple times the size of the Grand Xia is devoured.

This jade slip details a technique that can allow for the creation of a first or second-rate Jindan, or the upgrade of a Jindan all the way to first tier. But rather than using any of the methods detailed above, this technique teaches another, slightly less costly method that only requires far more natural energy and time. Forming a first-rate Jindan with this method will take at least a thousand years of meditation. A first tier Jindan would allow for one at the Celestial Immortal level to be equal to a True Immortal who has a third-rate Jindan. In a chaosworld like the Three Realms, such a technique would completely overturn the entire scale of balance.

Nine Chaos Seals (-800): Originally found and memorized by Daoist Three Purities, these Nine Seals were seemingly created by the Primordial Chaos, and each seal that is mastered gives one insights into a Dao tailored to the user. When fully mastered, they create an azure flower within the soul of their owner, enabling them to convert any and all forms of energy into a mist which enhances the physical abilities of a cultivator to tremendous heights, allowing an Elder God to utterly demolish newly ascended World Level experts, and fight on equal terms with ordinary World Level Experts.

There seems to be a limit to just how much of the mist you can have stored within your soul, however. Even though you'll be able to fight a lot longer than a person who relies on their own energy, don't think that you'll be able to fight like that forever. Another thing to keep in mind is that fully comprehending these Seals in a short period of time was impossible even for Nuwa, who had mastered over eighty thousand Daos. Unless you are a genius of a level unheard of in the Three Realms, it's going to be some time before you can use these seals and the secrets contained within to their full potential.

Those were two more items that were key in Ji Ning's rise to power. And with Carl's other perks, like his Inner World from his Nine Profound Exquisite Body, he could store a lot more power and energy and "mist" than most others could.

But spending 1600 cp to purchase those two items seemed like a waste. They were floating out there, somewhere in the Grand Xia, so Carl figured he had a good chance to get his hands on them at some point. And if he doesn't…well, he could always come back to the world later and purchase them then.

And like the description said, it would be a while before he was ready to fully comprehend it. He would rather just get the 30 years over with so he could gather his family before making any other plans. So Carl made the decision to not waste his entire CP stockpile in this world.

Looking at the items for the origin of Child of a Superpower, Carl began by adding in the free 100 cp item.

Clan Tree (Free): This is an ancient art passed down from an unknown senior to your family, and with it you can easily find the descendents of yourself or anyone you're related to, while also discovering their general location. However, after going beyond five generations people will stop counting as being related to you.

Prefecture City (-150): Well then, it seems like there was an extra Prefecture City in the Swallow Mountain Area, and it belongs to you. The Citizens of this city follow all of your orders, as you are the city's Prefecture Lord, though they won't do things like killing themselves just because you order them to, and all income procured through taxes is transferred directly to wherever you wish, and after this jump transforms itself into the currency of your choice. This city by itself can hold several million mortals, and in the center there is a massive building dedicated for you and your family or clan, able to hold thousands of people. In future worlds, the city will follow you, with all of the citizens it had originally, though they won't be able to leave the confines of the city.

The ability to purchase his own Prefecture City was wonderful. It would be a base for his Ninja Clan and his Dragon Flight.

When Carl added the Prefecture City to his shopping cart, he found to his pleasant surprise a number of wonderful options that he could make use of. He could choose to merge the Dragon Hold and the Ninja Clan properties into the Prefecture City. He spent some time organizing his city and clan grounds, making them just what he wanted.

He decided that in the center he would have the Prefecture Lord's manor and his clan grounds. On the clan grounds next to the manor would be his Dragon Hold, New Uzushio, and Hyuga Clan grounds. Then the rest of the lands that he picked up from the Naruto world would be spread out in the next rings of the city and surrounding lands. All the shops, crafting buildings, and other such property that was either under the Hyuga clan or the Silver Dragon Flight was distributed around his Prefecture City and the surrounding area.

His Dragons and Ninja, while stationed in the city, wouldn't count as the city's civilians, so they would not be forced to remain in the City like the average citizens were; they could easily leave and conduct business and missions.

He was pretty sure the properties he got from the Monopoly Gauntlet would be distributed around the Stillwater Commandery. Maybe even in other Commanderies, but he wasn't sure about that. There was never an option for him to pick where the monopoly properties were to be distributed, so he could only figure it out via communications that his VI had set up for the managing VIs.

And finally he found that the Diving Summons clans that followed him were given space for some land and buildings in the nearby mountains that would connect to their lands in the Hunting/Grazing lands. It would give them an outlet in his territory to move about and explore the area, while their main home would remain in the Warehouse addition that they could be summoned from.

Like usual he chose to keep the Dinosaur continent connected to his Warehouse, rather than setting it down anywhere.

While he was designing his Prefecture City he had decided to put all his forces in his city. Even though he was somewhat worried about the saying "Don't put all your eggs in one basket", he was more worried about his forces being divided and defeated piecemeal by any enemies that targeted them. It was better in this world of the strong to consolidate his strength and make sure to protect all he had.

He named his city Firebird City, since naming it the Silver Hyuga City sounded a little silly in his ears. Silver Hyuga Dragon City. Silver Dragon Hyuga City. Hyuga Silver Dragon City. Dragon Silver Hyuga City.

Yeah, it was better to just name it something else, hence Firebird City.

The last item that he purchased was something that was a game changer for Ji Ning in his journey as an MC. It helped him get as powerful as he eventually did through a few powerful techniques as well as the Chaos Nectar that it provided him to power the techniques.

For the lower level cultivators, the currency and needed cultivation item to provide them with cultivation energy was Elemental Essence. Once they reached the Celestial Immortal stage, it was Immortal Energy. And once they left the Three Realms and traveled amongst the vastness of the void outside, Chaos Nectar was the next step up in cultivation energy resource and currency.

Strange Stone Stele (-400): Taking the form of an ancient stone Stele, this item is in fact a prison world contained within a seemingly normal (even to the probing of a Daofather) ancient Chinese-style stone Stele. This prison world was created by the king of the now destroyed Pangaea Kingdom in the Primordial Chaos, and inscribed upon it are seven powerful techniques. You, however, only seem to be capable of unlocking three of these initially, having to pay 200 cp for every additional technique you wish to unlock. Most of these require the user to be at the Celestial Immortal level or above.

Even though Carl wouldn't be able to use the item initially, it was an item that continually produced Chaos Nectar, which was valuable all on its own. But the three techniques that he would pick were very useful for him.

Not to mention that in the story there were some powerful prisoners that Ji Ning ended up beating up for their knowledge and combat practice. The prisoner's information was where Ji Ning learned to upgrade his Jindan, so it could be useful for Carl, if that information wasn't already recorded in his Jutsu Archive.

Taowu Eighteen Fiendgods: a Secret Art that allows the user to flawlessly split their body into eighteen different clones with no loss in power, durability, or intelligence, with each of them being subordinate to one consciousness. It had several stages to be trained in, three to be exact, with the first allowing the user to only create 17 very weak clones in tandem with the original body, the second stage making them all as powerful as the original body, and the final stage allowing the user to merge all the bodies together into one powerful body.

From there on the process can be repeated again as often as the user wishes to. However, the second stage requires the use of Chaos Nectar, the distilled essence of the Primordial Chaos, to train.

Luckily, the Prison World was built with the sole purpose of distilling this nectar, and the golems inside charged with managing it see you as their overseer and thus will hand over 18 bottles every 30 years rather than the original time it took to create them, namely an entire Chaos Cycle.

Let it be known, however, that the stronger you are, the more of these bottles you may need to use. A weak Daofather would have to use a hundred bottles just to execute the technique once, and a True Immortal who executed it a second time would need 18 times their original price, and one that practiced a Divine Art that increased toughness or strength would have to pay even more. The nature of this technique also means that even if your original body is destroyed, as long as even one clone remains, it can be used to restore the other seventeen bodies in time.

Carl really liked the idea that with this technique he could have extra lives and so he didn't have to be quite as cautious moving around as he would have, as long as one of his clones was in a safe place.

The only thing that gave Carl pause was wondering if the Jump Chain would duplicate the Strange Stone Stele for his use, or if he would be given the one from inside the world. Ji Ning got his Strange Stone Stele from killing one of his enemies, who was using the technique that let him breed giant insects.

So if he was given the one from inside the world, then the Bugfreak enemy would suddenly lose his Stone Stele, and Ji Ning would never get it.

In the end, Carl decided not to bother about it. If Ji Ning wasn't able to gain the Stone Stele from his enemy, then so be it. The MC would then not have one of the key items that led to him gaining ascendance and he would have to figure something else out. Not Carl's problem.

Carl figured, though, that the chances were good that he would get a copy of the item and not the original. So he was pretty sure he wasn't screwing over Ji Ning by buying it.

The other two techniques that Carl chose with the Strange Stone Stele were useful for his survival in this highly combative world, even if he couldn't start training them until he reached the Celestial Immortal level.

The Qiankun Reversing Gestalt-Formation: It is possibly the best technique to use in conjunction with the Taowu Eighteen Fiendgods technique, due to the fact that it requires 18 people working in tandem to activate. When successfully activated, however, it warps the space around the victim and the Formation controllers, up to the size of an entire Major World, trapping the victim inside this space and allowing the user to either flee, use guerrilla tactics, or simply keep them there until reinforcements arrive. However, due to the profoundness of the technique, it would take someone years to fully master. Surprisingly, however, it is a Ki Refining Technique, like all formation techniques, so you'd need to double cultivate in order to use it.

The Divine Ability Indestructible Body: It trains the body of the cultivator to insane heights, up to the level of a Top-grade Protocosmic treasure and beyond, which is the highest level of weapons in the Three Realms, outside of extremely rare exceptions. It consists of six stages, with the first three only being practicable by Empyrean Gods, and the last three by True Gods. Ki Refiners that do not also practice body refining are unable to use it.

The other techniques that Carl chose not to pick were The Nine Bug Solutions, The Sin Armament, The Jewel Talisman Technique, and the God of Ghosts.

The Nine Bug Solutions was a technique for raising giant bugbeasts that held neither immortal energy nor core sense, but could rival cultivators based on their body toughness and strength alone. They came in all kinds of shapes and sizes, from Unicorns to crocodiles to actual bugs, but they couldn't use immortal energy and couldn't be used in formations.

The Sin Armament was a technique used by Fiendgod Body Refiners who didn't want to split their attention between two modes of cultivation and focused on the "proper Fiendgod method of slaughter and battle". It enables the Fiendgod's weapons to absorb the enmity and despair of enemies that were killed by the Fiendgod and grow stronger through slaughter, even growing as strong as Chaos Weapons eventually, which are able to harm new World level cultivators. Since Carl didn't plan to slaughter his way through this world, he didn't think this technique was appropriate for him.

The Jewel Talisman Technique was used to create powerful one time use items that would fall apart after being used. They could do anything the creator could do through their insight into the Dao of the world, or in other words the natural laws of the universe. It wasn't a bad technique by any means. Having a lot of one time use items could save the user's immortal energy in combat, saving their strength for when they really needed it or having an escape item to flee to safety if overwhelmed. It would also allow him to arm his followers with secret trump cards to help them survive if they were cornered.

Carl shook his head in amusement. He had almost convinced himself to switch out the Jewel Talisman Technique with the Qiankun Reversing Gestalt-Formation because of the benefits he could give his followers. But no matter what, he needed to keep himself alive before he passed on benefits to his followers, because if he died then the Jump Chain was over, and who knows what would happen to them at that point.

Besides which, he had set up his Dragons as excellent artificers. With some time and resources, Carl was confident they would match and beat any other group in crafting skills.

God of Ghosts: is a Ki Refining technique that deals with cultivating Ghosts, or spirits of the past. This is often done by killing people and binding the ghost that was left behind from their deaths, and thus makes them incapable of reincarnation.

As soon as Carl read those first two sentences, he immediately decided not to touch that technique. It just felt completely wrong and evil to mess about with people's spirits and prevent them from going to their just rewards in the next life in order to forge them into tools to be used in combat.

As mentioned above, the Stele serves as a prison world for the Pangaea Kingdom, a far off Chaosworld that's already been destroyed, and despite the fact that you've been allowed to learn these abilities, you will need to be at least a True Immortal with a third-tier Jindan or a Celestial Immortal with a first-tier Jindan before being able to enter the prison world and meet the denizens, most of whom have first or second tier Jindans. Luckily, however, they're trapped within formations, so if you had the necessary skills, you could always just grind down the weaker ones until they run out of energy and steal their treasures.

Shaking his head, he moved on to the next section.

Drawbacks: Take as many as you want, but no more than one worth over a thousand CP. If you picked any Drawbacks that send an enemy after you, you can't leave until they are dealt with.

The Pull of the Dao (+0): Something about this world is beckoning you, because of that, instead of staying here for 30 years, you can instead stay for 20,000 years before moving on to your next jump.

"Absolutely not." Carl shook his head as he moved to the next one. "If I didn't have a goal after this jump to meet, it would be a good way to get the needed time to boost my power. But I'm not staying here for that long. Especially because I would have to go to that damned Endwar. Speaking of which."

The Endwar (+0) (Required Celestial Immortal and over): If you wish to go over the Void Level, and pass your Celestial Tribulation then you must pick a side in the coming conflict. Either the Seamless Gate or the Nuwa Alliance and stay until the final Endwar. Being part of either side means that you'll have to take to battle in Battle Formations.

As a Celestial Immortal you will simply be the base for the formation meaning that you'll be of no importance, and if the formation collapses your kind die by the thousands. Even becoming a True Immortal still requires you to command the formation which once again means your death if it collapses. Only as a Daofather, True God, or Elder God will you truly be safe, and even then you still have to participate in the Final Endwar, a battle in which any Daofather not exceptionally powerful for their level will have an extremely high chance of dying.

To put things in perspective, during a single battle it isn't rare to see several hundred thousand Celestial Immortals die, and millions of Loose Immortals do the same. Neither side will tolerate a neutral party for fear of retaliation after the Endwar, and thus will hunt down and kill anyone attempting to stay out of the way.

"What the hell is with Drawbacks that don't give cp?" Carl muttered. "As far as I can figure from my memories of the story, the Endwar starts ramping up when Ji Ning is around 800 years old. Well, that's not completely accurate. The Endwar has been thousands and thousands of years in the making, so it's been ramping up for a long time."

"But it really starts being open warfare about 800 years from Ji Ning's birth. That's about 770 years longer than I want to stay. Good thing I don't have to take this drawback."

"Although, the way it says it's required for those Celestial Immortal or over, it sounds like the drawback would go active if I raised my cultivation to the Celestial Immortal level." Carl bared his teeth at the slippery drawback. "Looks like I'll have to manage my cultivation level and not spend time in the Time Pearl."

"Maybe I'll come back here after I've gathered all my girls. It would make a truly large place for them to grow and have all kinds of experiences to learn the Dao and get truly strong." Carl mused on the idea. He would have to see what his girls thought of the idea after they had experienced the jump chain for a while.

Tribal Rivals (+100): For whatever reason, you've gained the enmity of a small clan or tribe in the Swallow Mountain Region, making your relationship slightly tainted. They'll have one Xiantian member who'll try and make problems for you in all your ventures, and if you're not careful they'll try to murder you outside Prefecture bounds.

Carl added the drawback to his list. He would be at the Xiantian realm to start with, so he should be able to handle this small group of people while he was the Prefectural Lord and a Xiantian life form to boot. He may not even have to exterminate the clan; just resolve the issue in one way or another.

City Clan (+100): You've offended a clan based in the local prefecture city, while not as powerful as the superpowers, they'll make any attempts to purchase goods or other financial dealings within the prefecture city much harder than it would be otherwise.

Carl chuckled; another easy 100 points, or at least it should be. He should be able to subdue one small clan with a grudge against him in his own city.

After looking at the rest of the drawbacks, Carl just shook his head. Making enemies for points seemed like a giant hassle when he just wants to stay for 30 years and be gone. What if one of them rabbits and he has to spend an extra decade or ten chasing him down? No thanks.

And Carl wasn't going to pick any of those scenarios either. He was leaving well enough alone.

He had 3000 cp banked up for whatever Spere 037 and his absent Jump-Chan had in store for him after this, the 15th jump. So Carl was ready to get it over with and move on.

Double checking that everything was as he wanted it, Carl hit the finalize button on the jump document and blanked out.
