At the moment, I was resting in my bed with Abby sitting in the chair next to me, scrolling through her phone. She’d been silent for a good five minutes, causing me to lick my lips nervously and glance toward her. “Everything alright?” I asked finally. “Look, I’m sorry I dragged you into this. I tried warning you, but you were a bit… you.”
“Sorry? No need to apologize. Sure, I witnessed the death of several people,” she muttered. She gulped, holding her head and biting her lip for a moment. She shuddered, taking a deep breath and exhaling slowly. “But I’m coming to terms with it. Or, rather, am working on it. I was bound to find out eventually, it’s my fault, anyway. To distract from the really dark thoughts I’m having regarding all of that bloodshed, though, let’s talk about your crush.”
