Friendship

Anna stared at the photo and smiled. It was a simple wedding but the smile on her and Kristofer's face depicted how happy they were to be together.

Looking around the condo, she couldn't decide where to leave the frame. She wanted to print a bigger portrait. But she didn't want to make such an effort when this was only temporary.

They'd be moving out somewhere in the future. She didn't want to be too attached.

Kristofer was quickly recovering. She left him asleep and his guards standing protectively outside of his room.

Anna decided to put it on top of one of the bedside tables and hoped that Kristofer would like the mini surprise. She didn't really plan on anything big. But it's the little things. Her grandma would always say.

The doctor said that he'd be released soon. Anna wanted to at least do some good gesture like a welcome home thing and she wasn't particularly an expert at surprises.
