The secret is now all out in the open, and being chewed on the world wide web, because she asked an innocent DT while they're busy playing RPG games, about Asya and if they are still dating, which DT answered with an "Uhm" not knowing that she is streaming live on her Twitch.
Ellise can't look straight at DT's face. How can she tell him that her malicious intent behind the innocent question was her jealousy. Seeing Asya and DT in a fit of laughter, glued to each other's sides during the set off party for the Asia Elimination Game in Singapore drove her mad! Can she really tell DT the real reason why she demanded that he should spend time with her in exchange for keeping his secret?
"Don't hang out too much with friends you just meet in the bars.", he said while pressing her hands tighter on her lap. "Forget about the scandal, I'll talk to the press later about it," DT said as he pushed himself up.
"What will you tell the press? Will you deny your relationship with Asya?" she asked, as she slouched on the chair. She took a deep breath to hide the panic in her voice.
"Just stop drinking too much! Didn't we already talk about it?!" he said, entirely avoiding answering her question.
"Why aren't you angry at me?" she asked, confused. "It was because of me, that Asya was being talked maliciously online," she said as she stood up from the chair. "But I'm not going to apologize!" she said, stomping her feet and opening the balcony door. She can't breathe and needs fresh air.
Now that the public knows about Asya and DT's relationship, there is no reason for him to hang out with her. The idea pained her so much that, for the past week, she decided to go to any exclusive bars that would let her in as soon as she whipped out her black card, even when she is without a doubt, a minor.
She didn't go to the WIZ while DT's team was in Singapore, because those boys in the club actually treated her fairly well, and she's ashamed to face them. But she has no plans to tell him about it, as well as the reason for avoiding his phone calls since the incident happened, was because she doesn't want to hear him say that he hates her and would like no association with her whatsoever. Rejection is nothing new for her, however, one from DT at the moment would break her heart.
It's too late now to be sorry and regret her impulsive action on her ugly emotions. She used to pride herself in perfected the act of not giving f*ck, apart from DT, he's her whirlpool of stupid actions, she can't seem to subdue.
"How could you even enter those bars, and be given alcohol when you're a freaking underage!" he shouted.
"You can do anything if you have the money!" she screamed back. "Do you want me to make this scandal go away? Money will fix it!" she said walking to where DT is standing.
"Forget about it!", he said with a nasty look on his face. "Asya and I decided to just tell the press the truth about us."
"Why would you tell the truth? Didn't you read all those comments against Asya?" she said as she grabs DT's arms. "Just deny it or let me pay someone to make it go away!" shaking his arms as she speaks. At the back of her mind, a thought was running at full speed, she won't allow DT to date Asya in the open. It would kill her!!
"We're both adults, and the scandal is hurting Asya. But it won't affect my career or her work in any way. I've talked it out to Uncle Wan, and he gave me the go signal since it will no longer interfere with the competition because we already got our ticket for the World's Championship." he said softly as he held her arms back.
She shakes off DT's arms, briskly walks to the main door and opens it, and says "Get out!"
DT stood with an incredulous look on his face, chose to say nothing, but sigh.
"I said, get out!" she said pointing out the door.
He knows her temper, and just decided to let her go for now, for he still has to prepare for the celebratory party at the WIZ. He calmed himself and put his hands in his pocket and walked slowly towards the door.
"Reply on my messages on WeChat, will you?" he said as he stopped in front of her.
She kept her head down, pushed him out of the door, and slammed it. She doesn't understand why DT still talks to her in his quiet voice, why won't he utter hurtful words towards her. She knows how vicious the words of the netizens online are. But why is he downplaying it like it was nothing! Why it seems like he's angrier that she didn't pick up any of his calls, or the fact that she went out drinking again, even when she promised him she won't anymore.
Before she could find an answer to those why's, her phone breaks the silence of the room, with a J-rock song. Even without looking at the phone, she knows who the caller is, since the song was from the caller's boyfriend. It's someone she can't ignore because probably it's the only person in this world that actually cares about her.
"Be at The Bay for lunch." the caller said unceremoniously when she picked up the call.
"Uhm," she answered as she pressed the dropped button.
A sigh escapes her lips, as a start of a headache creeps on her temple. But as she looks at the time, it is now quarter to ten. Considering the traffic, and the fact that she badly needs a good scrubbing, there's no time to dilly dally.
She walks back to the red door, crosses the gaming room, and loses no time to take a shower. She would really want a long soak in the tub right now, but the one who booked lunch is not someone that she can make to wait.
