Something Wrong with Jack

"Welcome back bestie and her least favorite man " Ray shouted the moment Camilla appeared. Chris was behind her.

"Hi, is it me or did you gain weight " Rag hugged Camilla.

"Grandma kept saying I was so thin to have a baby so fed me everything I wanted," said Camilla.

"Hmmm well to me she almost turned you into a pig " he snorted. A slap was had after and Ray shouted in pain.

"Don't you ever call her that " Chris wanted to slap him again but Camilla held him back

"I did say she was all I wanted to say was..." Ray moved away seeing Chris's face.

Jack welcomed them back and opened the car.

"Jack I missed you " Camilla hugged him.

"I did too " he smiled.

"You look different, something good happened?" she giggled.

He smiled but didn't answer, Camilla got in and Chris followed.

"Ray, we're are you thought you would spend the day with us?" Camilla turned to Ray who was leaving

"You guys go ahead I only came to welcome you back now I have to run back to work " he smiled and moved to his car.

Jack got in and started the car, he drove in silence.

Camilla had dozed off.

"She seems tired already " Jack finally said.

"She turned into a sleeping beauty since she turned two months" he sighed.

Her Grandma had told him she needed to eat to get energy for the baby to develop but she didnt like eating. And was getting tired easily too.

"Mmm," Jack smiled.

Chris turned to him, "How was your vacation, did that Alfred guy give you a hard time?"

"No, he didn't " Jack swallowed.

"That's good, 'cause if he had made things difficult just for a kiss. I was going to make him regret it " Chris frowned.

Jack knew this would happen and regretted having told his boss. He was so confused at the time he needed to tell somebody and he was only close with Chris.

"Everything is back to normal boss don't worry," he said.

A week went by, and Camilla was back to being busy at the restaurant, and Chris was so busy with work he missed going home most of the days. Their wedding preparation were almost done since their parents handled everything and knew the right people to ask.

Ray had disappeared too and no one knew where he had gone. Jack had not heard from Alfred since their last encounter and it depressed him a little.

"Camilla, Jack is here to pick you up " Ritah shouted seeing the car park at the front.

"Tell him to come in, am still busy and it is cold outside," she said. She was reviewing some documents with her assistant.

"Jack, come in. She's still a little busy " Ritah shouted at him. He nodes and walked in.

Few customers were still in since it was towards closing time. He sat down at a table and got to his phone. A waiter brought him a cup of coffee.

Camilla came in later after she was done. She saw him at the table and walked over.

"I have noticed that you look depressed lately, what's wrong?" she asked.

"Am okay " he said.

Camilla watched him, "When you feel like talking to someone am here," she said getting up.

Jack nodded and followed her out.

Chris returned home late in the late, Camilla was in the study reading some books.

"My hubby looks tired " she walked out with a smile.

"I need a kiss " he hugged her.

Camilla kissed him and then led him to the bedroom, "Take a shower and I will bring the dinner to you "

He disappeared into the room and she moved to the kitchen.

"Something is wrong with Jack. " Chris said taking a bite of the steak.

"What happened?".

"He absent-minded and tends to be in bad mood," Chris said.

"I didn't notice you cared about him " she giggled.

"I do worry and care about all my men. If they are not in good shape then they are less effective " he said.

Camilla laughed, "You have a weird way of caring, but I guess you have to talk to him man to man, not as his boss "

Chris frowned wondering what she meant.

The next day she called Alfred's who didn't pick up, she had not seen him the whole week she returned.

She decided to head to the hospital and see if he was there.

"Dr.Goldber has been away on a trip for a week now. It was an emergency request so he didn't have time to inform his close ones " his assistant said.

Camilla asked when he would be back.

"He called and said he would be back tomorrow "

Camilla asked for the time he would landing then left after.
