Pick Up

"Where are you?" Camilla called Ray.

"Busy "

"If you don't want me to hunt you down tell me right now "

"Home " Ray answered.

"I will be there in one hour " she hangs up.

She drove off to Ray's place packing some food for him from the restaurant.

"Why are you hiding here, tell me what happened" Camilla walked into Ray's messy home.

"Nothing, can't a man hide and rest for a while " he lied.

"Eat this and tell me who broke your heart " Camilla opened the containers and told him to start eating.

Ray obeyed and started eating in silence. Camilla watched him and laughed.

"If you don't stop pretending to be fine and tell me who she is am going to slap it out of you," She said.

Ray burst into tears almost checking on the food.

"First chew then cry " Camilla passed a napkin to him.

"I didn't tell you about it cause you would have said she was playing me which eventually was true. After we signed the contract with her company she completely changed and avoids me like we never had something between us" he cried.

Camilla frowned, "I always tell you to be careful and use your brain but you end up using your stupid heart. Now look what happened you look terrible and now even smell funnier" she said.

Ray stopped crying, "I can be broken heart but I don't want to smell funny for you "

"Then finish that and go take a shower," she said. Ray finished his food and ran to take a shower.

Camilla cleaned his place while he did.

He walked out later with a clean look, "Camilla my body feels better but the heart doesn't " he said.

"You need to show this lady that she did the wrong thing by breaking your heart. That you can move on and still maintain your professional status with them "

"She said I was just a spoilt brat under his father "

"Then be a spoilt brat with a smart brain who can still work and make business deals after being made a fool by a woman " She laughed.

"Well I want her to see that am not just a spoilt brat but a smart businessman too " He smiled.

"If your done sorting your feelings now listen, Jack might be depressed cause Alfred didn't call him for a week," she said.

"WHAT?...I told him not to hurt our cute baby and he still did. Am going to kick his sorry ass " Ray yelled.

"Calm down it's not what you think. Alfred left for an emergency and could not inform anyone so I guess I could not call him. But he's coming back tomorrow "

"I don't know what happened after they left that night but how sure are you his like that cause of Alfred, " Ray asked.

"I don't know cause he hasn't told me anything but after you told me Alfred wanted your help to talk to Jack then something must have happened. And since Alfred left without saying anything it might have confused Jack even more "

"So what should we do, help Alfred clear things up and express his true feelings or help Jack to find out if he likes Alfred or is just feeling confused cause of their kiss " Ray scratched his head.

"Both, I want Alfred to be happy but I don't want him to force his feelings on Jack, cause if he isn't interested in him then he was just confused from the start".

Camilla got home late finding Chris in the kitchen making dinner.

" How is the idiot," he asked. She had told him she was checking on Ray since he was suffering from a heartbreak.

"He will live," she said kissing his shoulder.

"That's good " he smiled.

She sat down, "So I wanted us to cheer him up. And you know his type of fun "

"I can help with that, I have been working hard these last few days maybe I could take him out for a drink " Chris suggested.

"I thought about that too, my man needs to rest once in a while " she giggled.

"I will pick him up tomorrow after work," Chris said.

"I have another plan in mind. And Alfred will be returning tomorrow why not let him join too " she said

Chris's face turned to sour.

"He will be returning from a long depressing trip he needs to relax too and since you guys will be going for a drink take him too "

"What time is he arriving?" Chris asked.

"Around three in the evening, we can pick him up, you guys drop me home then head to have some drinks " she held his hand.

He slowly nodded and she kissed his lips.
