"Ever....."

"What? too stunned to speak or your eyes lost their vision?" her husband pushed her closer to the bed where Camilla was.

"But they said you were dead " she stammered.

Camilla gave the trembling woman a weak smile and then turned away.

"I was afraid you would hurt her again if you found out she survived another attempt from you. So I lied and made sure your men find out " Chris said.

"So..s.o ...so you lied about her death "

Chris nodded and got up moving close to his mother.

"You bought flowers " he chuckled in anger, "I don't even know what to say to you anymore mother. Just go I don't want to ever see you again ".

His mother turned to where Camilla was, she was holding her newborn. She had not seen it since it was born and it shocked her the baby looked like Chris when he was just a newborn.

" Hi..s....his beautiful " she cried as her legs gave away. Dropping to the floor she kept looking at her grandson and then at Chris who stood next to her without any emotion. "he looks just like you son " she cried.

"I tried at first to forgive you when I learned the truth about my past and it wasn't because am so kind....but it was because you had given birth to someone important to me and wanted to respect that. But with time you proved to me with all your cruel actions towards me that you were an unforgivable person "Camilla cried.

" His so beautiful " Chris's mother kept repeating.

"But even then I was still willing to forgive you but then you went ahead and did this" Camilla closed her eyes as she pushed away the memory of that night, "you have no idea how painful every moment of that night was, it's was more scary and painful than the first one and when I woke and saw this beautiful innocent face...Camilla looked down at her baby and smiled through her tears...I vowed that I won't let you take this away from me again "

"Am...am..ahh...." Chris's mother tried to say something but failed and then went back to repeating what she was saying before. Her ex-husband walked to where she was and frowned.

"Has she gone mad cause she lost or because of guilt?" he asked.

Chris sighed and walked back to where Camilla was while his father made a call. Two policemen came in and took the confused woman out of the room.

Ray and Jack walked in, "Did you run her mad with your sharp words, bestie?" they asked.

"Brother, what happened to mother?" Jack asked.

"We didn't do anything, she just dropped and started acting that way," Chris said.

"I guess she was shocked to see Camilla alive, after all, she came too excited and happy holding flowers " Ray chuckled. "Well karma is a bitch, I hope she pays for everything she had done to you "

"Sister-in-law are you okay?" Jack asked noticing the tears still in Camilla's eyes. She smiled and nodded, "Am okay, just exhausted ".

"Then we will leave you to rest, you just woke up and had to deal with your crazy mother-in-law. We will come tomorrow to see you " Ray hugged her.

He was still excited about her being awake that he didn't want to break the hug but Jack pulled him away.

They left the room to the couple and their son.

"He looks so fragile " she smiled looking at her son, "thanks for fighting with mom to stay alive," Camilla said while kissing his little forehead.

"Let me hold him so you can lay down " Chris moved closer taking the baby from her. She laid back down and smiled watching him hold their son.

"Thank you, love," she said.

"For? why do you keep saying that? I think I should be the one saying it since you were able to fight and return to me " he stared into her eyes.

"Thank you for waiting and staying by his side," Camilla said. "Have you named him yet?" she asked.

Chris shook his head, "not yet, wanted you to be the one to do that "

She gazed into his eyes and smiled, "I love you " she whispered.

He got up still holding their son and bent to her side, planting a kiss on her lips.

"And I love you with everything I have got and never want to lose you no matter. So please don't ever think of leaving me " he muttered.

She nodded as tears escaped at the corners of her eyes.

"I don't plan on ever doing that " Camilla giggled.
