"Birthday Party"

Chris drove Camilla to work and then headed to the company.

"Is Jack sick, why is the boss driving today?" his assistant asked.

"No he's not sick, my wife just told me to drive her to work so I did and decided to come straight here after," he said.

His assistant smiled, "I see you are really an obedient future husband. Wish you all the best "

Chris nodded and dived into work.

Jack was still sleeping when his phone rang, he moved but something held him back. Still drowsy from sleep his eyes were half open. He turned to see Alfred's arms around his waist.

"Hi, let me go I need to get my phone " he murmured pulling away. Alfred loosened his grip and Jack grabbed his phone.

"Afternoon, Jack " Camilla's voice greeted. Jack sprung up it was afternoon already. He must have missed his alarm.

"Morn..afternoon, boss " he stammered.

Camilla giggled, "Don't worry I told Chris to let you go today since I expected you to be busy with someone " Jack turned back to see Alfred still sleeping soundly.

"I will apologize when I get there," he said.

"He's not angry and actually said you can take the day off. I was going to let you be but I was curious about what happened last night "

"We are okay," he said

"I was worried about the both of you and wondering if I did the right thing," she said.

Jack smiled and slowly moved out of bed walking to the balcony.

"You did and thank you for caring about my feelings "

Camilla snickered, "We'll I was scared you would be mad if you didn't like him back. He was head over heels for you since day one "

"He told me and I was surprised. Am just worried that my feelings for him are turning him into something he isn't " Jack turned back to the door catching a glimpse of the sleeping Alfred.

"Honey it's you we were worried about, Alfred has always been gay but you weren't so thinking maybe we were rushing things would confuse you but I guess you had fallen for him too"

"But I thought he was in love with you, isn't that why the boss hated him " Jack frowned.

"No, he wasn't, I figured the only reason he kept wanting to see me was all because of you. He wanted to see you every time you dropped or picked me up. And Chris didn't know so he thought Alfred was his rival " Camilla laughed.

"So the boss and I misunderstood him," he said.

"Yeah and since a few people knew about it, you and Chris judged him without knowing "

"And I kept giving him the cold shoulder but he always just smiled back " Jack chuckled.

"Am just glad you two are together now " she said.

"We are not together yet, he just...."

Camilla was laughing, "Jack stop lying to yourself, you like each other and I know his right there next to you in bed. You have our blessings so just go ahead and date "

"Is it okay, won't the boss feel awkward seeing me with a boyfriend after seeing me dating girls?" he asked.

"He would not have allowed you to stay with him if he didn't support you. Chris doesn't mind who it is your dating as long as that person makes you happy " she said.

"Thank you boss," he said.

"For what, maybe letting you date my friend. And please you guys should not fight cause threatened to kill Alfred if he hurt you, so please make it work for my peace of mind "

Jack laughed, his boss was still harsh even now.

"I will try my best boss," he said.

"I will leave you two to have more time alone. And please stop calling me that, Chris told me everything so I want you to start calling me sister-in-law. You hear me ".

Jack had been surprised Chris had talked about that topic but he knew he didn't keep secrets from Camilla.

" Yes, bo...I mean sister in law " he corrected.

"Much better, now off you go to your lover's arms. And tell him to try you right or I will have his hair " she said then the line was cut.

Jack breathed, he never thought things would be like this but before he could know what was going on he had a man as a boyfriend and everyone was supporting them.

He walked back to the room and got back to bed, his head still hurt from all the wine he had drunk last night during their meal.

Alfred heard his presence again and his arms moved, Jack was pulled back into his embrace again.

"Missed you " he turned half asleep.

"I was only gone for a few minutes "

"Felt longer," he said.Alfred's chin rested on his head burning him more into his chest.

Jack snuggled deeper and closed his eyes.

The next day he report to work and Chris didn't say anything about him missing the previous day. He was leaving for a two-day trip aboard to check on their branch.

"Get there safe and call me the moment you land " Camilla hugged him

"I hate to leave you alone. Take care of yourself and leave work early " he said.

She nodded. Jack moved his luggage to the car.

"Jack when you're done come back I need to talk to you, " Camilla told Jack.

And when he returned after dropping Chris off, Camilla was waiting for him.

He walked in to see Ray, Alfred, Ben, Ritah, and a new face.

"Guys Jack is here too " Camilla lead him next to Alfred, who moved to make space for him to sit.

Camilla served him some juice then took a seat, "We are all here cause I need your help to throw Chris a birthday party" she said.

"His birthday is coming up?" Ray sat up

"Yes and since it's going to be my first as his fiancee I want it to be special "

They gave their ideas and soon everyone was given a role to play.

"Can I ask a question?" Jack asked.

"Go ahead "

"Are you going to invite mom too?" he asked.

Camilla frowned, "I have to, she is the one who gave birth to him she had to be there on her birthday".

" Okay I will go with you," Jack said.

"Am sorry to ask, but why is Jack calling Chris's mom his mother?" Ray asked.

The girl who had been introduced as Rachel pulled his ear, "you're nosey"

Alfred looked confused too glancing at Jack.

"Long story short, Jack here is Chris's brother making him my rich brother-in-law" she giggled.

"Ahhh....they are brothers?" Ben and Ray frowned

"Then I have no chance with him " Ritah stood up

"Sit down, you never had a chance from the start. But yes they are brothers but Jack here doesn't anyone to know so he works as his brother's driver " she explained.

"Am sorry I didn't tell you" Jack whispered to Alfred

"It's okay I understand you have your reasons".

"So before Chris comes back we need to have everything ready. Rachel and Ray the venue, Ben and Ritah food and snacks. Alfred will help Jack make the invitation list and then Jack will go with me tomorrow to see his rude mom "

Camilla smiled.
