Maria's eyes lit up when she heard this before asking, "Anne Anne, what's your idea?"

She immediately grabbed her hands and pulled her over from the rest like she was her only ally here.

Seeing this, the other S Rankers glared at Anne Marie which made her reveal a bitter smile, but she forced that bitter feeling down as she said, "I have a spell that I can use to put a binding contract on this lizard. As long as there's this contract, you can restrict the things that this lizard can do, so it should be safe…"

After a pause, she added, "The only way that it could break free is if the lizard is stronger than the one who cast the spell or the master breaks it on their own free will."

Maria's eyes lit up even more when she heard this and she immediately said with a nod, "Then cast that spell!"

Anne Marie hesitated a bit before giving a nod in response.

But she also turned to look at the other S Rankers.

Maria noticed this and also turned to look at them with a pleading look as she said, "I'll make sure to take good care of it."

Seeing this look from Maria, all of them felt their hearts twinge as their wills weakened.

It wasn't as if they were going to reject her in the first place since this was Xiao Bai's idea, but seeing this look made them want to stall their approval just so they could see it a bit longer.

But Xiao Bai was looking over them with a threatening look, so they had no choice but to nod in agreement.

Seeing this, Maria jumped for joy before grabbing Anne Marie's hands and saying, "Anne Anne, I love you."

Once again, all of the S Rankers glared at Anne Marie, but this time they were glaring with the intensity of ten thousand suns. They had never heard these words from her before, so they couldn't hold back the flames of jealousy in their hearts.

Anne Marie once again revealed a bitter smile, but she turned to the little lizard who was lying there in the sand.

She raised one hand and a white light gathered around it.

When Maria saw this, she couldn't help being amazed.

Even though she ran the cafe and saw powers being used often, she was still amazed when people she didn't see often used their powers.

After all, she identified herself as a normal person and hunters were like heroes to her. It wasn't strange that she would be fascinated by the powers of these heroes, especially those that she rarely saw.

Anne Marie however looked at Xiao Bai while she had her hand in the air, as if she was confirming something with him.

Only after she got a nod from Xiao Bai did she finally point her hand down at the little lizard.

When the little lizard felt the energy coming from Anne Marie's hand, it didn't feel scared at all.

It could understand what they were saying, so it knew that Anne Marie wanted to place some kind of restriction on it. However, it looked at the white glow in Anne Marie's hand in disdain.

That was because it could tell that this amount of power was far from being enough to restrain it.

This spell that this human was using would have no effect as long as it used a bit of the dragon's force inside of the dragon's blood that it had. This was the special blood of a true dragon, so it had power that far surpassed that of normal dragons.

But then before it could do anything, it suddenly felt a sense of suppression.

This was a pressure that it had never felt before and even drawing on the power of the drop of true dragon blood, it wasn't able to resist this feeling at all.

It was almost as if the more that it resisted, the more that it was being suppressed.

But this didn't make sense at all!

Even among other monsters, the true dragon reigned supreme, let alone dragons that far surpassed normal monsters in the first place.

Even if it was only a drop, it was still true dragon blood.

There shouldn't have been anything that could have suppressed the true dragon.

But now there was this feeling of suppression that fell onto it.

The lizard quickly looked around for the source of this suppression, but it couldn't find anything until its eyes landed on…the white dog that was standing behind the S Rankers.

This white dog looked like a fluffy and cute dog that didn't have any sign of danger at all. It looked more like a stuffed animal instead of something dangerous.

But right now, the lizard was feeling the pressure that was coming from Xiao Bai.

As it looked at Xiao Bai, it felt the pressure coming onto it more and more, even making it harder for it to breathe.

Finally, the lizard couldn't take it at all as it was flattened into the ground with Xiao Bai's pressure alone.

It felt that the more that it tried to resist, there was more pressure that fell down onto it.

Finally, the lizard wasn't able to take it anymore and completely surrendered to this pressure.

At this point, there was a white magic circle that appeared around the lizard.

This magic circle floated there in the air for a few seconds before a beam of light came from it, shooting at Maria's hand. The beam of light entered the back of Maria's hand before forming a white magic circle there as well.

This magic circle lasted for a few seconds before disappearing.

However, even after the magic circle disappeared, Maria could feel a connection between her and the lizard. It was almost as if with a single thought, she would be able to suppress the lizard however she wanted.

But of course, she wouldn't have the heart to do that.

The lizard had a dead look on its face like it had faced the greatest threat to its life and had come through it barely keeping its life.

Once Xiao Bai finished casting this, he gave a satisfied nod before sending Xiao Miao and Xiao Lang forward.

It wasn't over just because the restriction had been put on this lizard, it still had to be taught a lesson before it could properly be Maria's pet.

Xiao Bai would leave that in the hands of the two lackeys that it had just trained.

They knew best from experience what happened if they acted up, so they would train this new lizard pet properly.

Maria was worried at first seeing Xiao Miao and Xiao Lang moving towards the lizard, but seeing the way that they helped it up before bringing it to the side, she revealed a happy smile.

After all, the worries that any pet owner that had multiple pets had was that they wouldn't get along with each other. She had also been worried that this new lizard would get along poorly with Xiao Miao and Xiao Lang, especially since it seemed very likely that they would eat this lizard.

But seeing how cute they were together, she was happy to see that this wouldn't be a problem for her.

So she let them head off to play together while she turned back to thank Anne Marie again.

Anne Marie just revealed a hollow smile when she was being thanked by her like this. After all, she had only provided a cover for Xiao Bai…he was the one that had put the restriction on the lizard in the first place.

So it felt awkward for her to receive these words of thanks from Maria.

Maria thanked her a few more times before turning her attention back to the ingredients on the beach. She once again started her search for the sea urchin.

She wanted to use the best ingredient that she could find to make the best meal to thank Anne Marie with. Naturally, the sea urchin that she loved couldn't be lacking.

Then almost as an afterthought, she said to the other S Rankers, "Help me register Xiao Xi with the Hunters Organization as a new pet, thanks."

The way that she said it made it sound like she didn't care about them at all, but that was just her way of getting back at them for trying to make her get rid of the little lizard.

It was a lie to say that she didn't feel any traces of anger towards them for what they had said.

All of the S Rankers could only reveal bitter smiles before nodding in agreement, but as they left, they didn't forget to glare at Anne Marie. Those glares only lasted a single second before they quickly turned their gaze away.

That was because Anne Marie had been pulled away by Maria and they didn't want Maria to see them glaring at her.

To the side, the lizard was brought away by Xiao Miao and Xiao Lang.

Once they were far away from the rest of the group, they threw the lizard to the ground suddenly and stomped on it as if they were venting their anger.

The lizard covered itself with its small feet and tried to stop them, but it was just too weak after losing its body and could only lay there taking it.

Finally, it couldn't take it anymore and said, "What are you doing? Stop beating me!"

At this, Xiao Miao and Xiao Lang stopped before Xiao Miao said, "What's wrong with beating an idiot who doesn't know his place?"

The lizard angrily looked up and was about to say something, but before it could, its chin suddenly dropped as it looked at Xiao Miao.

Finally after a long time, it said with great difficulty, "Aren't you the Black Dragon King Ignias?"
