"You can't remain silent forever! you're gonna have to explain yourself woman or I swear I will divorce you! This is our son we're talking about!

Even if it means I'm going to be so fucking depressed as fuck, I Will make sure you pay for hurting him!" Rushil said, at this point, he was so angry he was unable to sit.

Ever since Nikolai left the house, Rushil has been standing in the middle of the living room, begging Radka to explain why she would disown her own kid that horrible way.

"RADKA!"

Sighing, a seated Radka spoke-up, "I don't deserve to be a mother Rushil...I don't deserve to be Nikolai's mother and I sure as hell don't deserve to be your wife, so go ahead divorce me."

"Are you kidding Me Radka?!"

"I don't know how you're okay living with someone like me after what I did to Jenny! Rushil you should've divorced me at that moment years ago!"

"Seriously?! is this what this is about?! you disowned our kid because you feel guilty about Jenny's death?!" Rushil asked.

"I took a girl's life under the fuckin influence of alcohol! a young innocent girl's life!" Radka replied, her voice breaking at the end.

"It was an accident! you didn't mean to do that! You had a blackout!"

"Still I was the one who chose to drink that fuckin liquor! and to think all of these years I harbored hate for Jenny because I thought she just ran away and abandoned us during our darkest time, when in fact she was the most loyal until I killed her!"

"Radka! I know we're not the most religious people out there but have some faith! Jenny must be with Balkis in heaven or something! She's in a better place than us I bet!" Rushil replied.

"Or she could be in hell waiting for me to settle the score once I make it there!" Radka said, "Well I'm going down to hell with you if that's going to make you feel better!" Rushil replied.

"You didn't do anything that warrants you a trip to the fire Rushil, I know if the afterlife is real, we're mostly going to part ways."

"Me? Gonna end-up in heaven?! I killed someone too you know!

Not to mention I still lied to people who knew Jenny including you about what actually happened to her, so there's no way a guy like me is gonna see the pearly gates." Rushil said.

"You killed somebody in self-defense Rushil, that's a whole different shit!"

"Look Rad, we're all sinners one way or another, but as long as we're alive and our judgment day is still far away, we have to do our best to balance the scale, and what you did to Nikolai today is anything but tipping the scale in your favor! You disowned him... just like your father did to you." Rushil said with a sad expression.

"Put yourself in my spot! would you be able to handle it?! Knowing years later that you're responsible for killing somebody and not even remembering it?! Because of what I did, my girls are scared of me! They think I'll kill them if they decide to quit!" Radka replied.

"I'm not saying that I would have handled it better than you, or that I would have handled it at all! I'm just saying that you shouldn't make Nikolai pay for your mistakes!

He needs our protection right now! We put his life in danger! It's gonna be a Belkis situation all over again if don't do something!" Rushil said.

"I know that he needs our protection but I can't force him anymore, I'm done pretending as if everything is alright! you heard everything he said! we fucked-up as his parents!...

We made Nikolai live a complete lie, we acted our whole lives, we created this child together but instead of giving him a good life we put him in danger, we should've never gave birth to him!" Radka replied.

"DON'T SAY THAT?!" Rushil shouted.

"Then what do you want me to say?! lie?!

I know back when we got married, we were dumb and in love that we thought we can conquer the world together, and even raise a baby while being fucking crime lords but we really needed a reality check back then!

I should have known I was never good enough to be a mother, I mean you're an amazing father Rushil but I failed on every level and I could've at least spent more money on my own kid but instead I didn't want him to be drowning in our blood money so I made him believe we're poor!" Radka replied, her tears were already forming in her eyes.

Sighing deeply, Rushil decided to finally sit besides his wife as she continued talking.

"Remember when I said that he must've found out about us being criminals during highschool?...he was so scared of me when I wanted to punish those bullies including Jin, he begged me to let it go...

He must've been so scared and that's why he moved away with John and Andrea right after his graduation... it's probably why he never mentioned us, even though he got famous...I recently checked his Zikipedia page, there's no mention of us, and apparently he told the media that we asked him to keep us private which is a lie...we never asked that."

"Radka..."

"Our son hates us, Rushil."

"No he doesn't!"

"You want to know why I disowned him?!

It's that fucking hateful look in his eyes, Nikolai might be currently blind but he was pretty much able to see through our bullshit,

In his eyes I could tell he's shaking inside out because of us...

It's like he knows that our past actions have put a Target on his back.

All his life we caused him nothing but trouble...we've hidden him very well, we put a distance between us and him so he wouldn't find out what we do.

Before you decided to stay at home with him, our son was babysitted and basically raised by our girls instead of us because we wanted to protect him so he wouldn't be our weak point but at the same time that backfired...

We created our own rift with our child and worse we lied to him his entire life... I mean I'm surprised he was okay with us...until now.

He should've booked it ages ago! He should've never came back here! To this fuckin pissy town! Yet he did knowing well that he's gonna have to deal with us, his parents that treated him like a rat in a cage!" Radka said.

"So what are you going to do now? you said it was okay for him to leave, does that mean you think it's safer for him outside this town? Did you want him to leave?" Rushil asked.

"I feel like he's going to be safe as long as he's away from us

And with Jin by his side, I don't know why but I feel that boy is just like his mother, I know he's gonna protect Nikolai better than I do... Jin may not look like his mother Lily, but God knows that kid can be her at any moment, I'm just hoping it doesn't escalate to that." Radka replied while wiping her face.

Confused, "What do you mean?" Rushil asked.

"There was always something special about Lily, just like us she hid Jin, her only son from the world, like remember we had no idea that she was even a mother until Jin came back to Nikolai's life recently.

For 7 years we had no idea she was even in this town with us, that's how good she is at hiding and even from beyond the grave, Lily is still full of mystery." Radka replied.

"Lily..."

"I knew her as a lone wolf... When her father asked me to kill her I had no idea why I agreed...he made her seem like a monster to me, which why I took the job myself instead of my girls...but when I went to assassinate her...Reality hit me hard, I could never beat her.

She had an opportunity to kill me, and she could have easily! instead she spared my life despite knowing that I was sent to kill her, she showed Mercy in a way I still don't understand why?! She obviously have killed before!

She wasn't a monster after all, she was just surviving but why did she spare me that day?!

And why she kept on running no matter how many people her father sent after her?! the fact that her father sent me after her means that he was desperate and I was his last resort after all not everybody can pay my bill..." Radka said.

"It's obvious that nobody knew not even her own child, why she was running away...not even the people around her knew lily's motives and obviously she didn't leave anything behind as a clue or else jin would've found it by now and I doubt he wouldn't have came and talk to you about it considering how he valued you opinion on her." Rushil replied.

"Jin is a mystery too...something about the boy makes me wonder what he's really like in battle.

He seems sweet and innocent and caring but I can tell he has the same switch as his mother, I bet the moment his life or Nikolai's is going to be in serious danger, that boy is going to be a murder machine." Radka said.

"I doubt he's going to be like Lily in that department, after all she wasn't that bad, she spared you." Rushil replied.

"She did, but that woman has been living a similar life when I met her for years, she by then had control over herself and knew how to switch back to her real self, but Jin is an unexperienced boy, so far he hasn't met any real danger...

Aside from stalkers and shitty ex-boyfriends, he hasn't fought off an assassin." Radka said.

"I don't get it? isn't it a good thing that Jin is possibly as strong as Lily and as efficient as her? I mean lily was nearly indestructible, the fact that a push downstairs was the reason why she died and not some sick assassination plot, is insane?!" Rushil asked.

"I'm not just worried about Jin, I'm worried about Nikolai too...

As sweet as Jin could be, he's the creature that Lily spent 18 years of her life building.

If Nikolai were to once witness Jin being as ruthless as his mother...how he's going to feel?! Nikolai was unable to handle us being criminals he left and moved away.

what if he sees Jin being just like his mother? The first time I met Lily, the side of her face was covered in the blood of the previous assassin who was just there minutes before I arrived, she bashed his head with a baseball bat and a poker face expression.

That memory is still present in my mind vividly, how she was so calm and she even smiled when she saw me approach her and asked if I was there to kill her too?

I doubt it that woman was able to raise a completely innocent sane boy, without Jin resembling her a bit." Radka replied.

"You think Jin is gonna snap?! Why did you even let him and Nikolai date again if that's your opinion?!" Rushil asked.

"Oh i know he's going to snap and when that happens, let's pray that our son doesn't get caught in the crossfire." Radka replied, "And as for why I let him and Nikolai date, it's like I told you that date...my family has always been this way, once we fall in love, if it doesn't work out the first time...we'll never love again." She added.
