The Truth Will Shine Above All

Kiera's POV(Continued)

She scratched her neck, radiating discomfort. "I’m sorry, but I don't know." I deflated.

"You seem awfully interested in finding Whitlock’s home." Sarah declared in a strange voice.

"And you’re not? Such a fascinating story!" I gushed with all the fake wonder I could muster.

"You are fascinated by the story of a killer?" She lifted a brow.

"Supposed killer. The rumors were vile lies spread by people who had no love for William's mother. Mr. William junior would never set his family on fire. He has no reason to." The nurse stressed. That was still a part of the story I was missing, but it was of no importance to me right now.

"You know how we are in America. Gore fascinates us." I shrugged carelessly.

"You grew up in this town. Surely you have an idea where the estate used to be? Just a little hint, please?" I pleaded with a pout.

The nurse shook her head. "I really have no idea. I will be back with your pills." And she hurried out of the room.
