Ch.4 On the run

the moment we turned around we knew we were in trouble.

I looked and found the answer to the thud.

it was the mage.

My body moved before had a chance to let everything register in my brain

I grabbed Lucas and ran into the forest.

"Maya! you @#$!&%^" Shouted the mage.

"Come out or I will destroy this village!"

when the mage shouted the last part, I hesitated. Why me? WHY DOES HE WANT ME?

Lucas grabbed my arm firmly. and shook his head. I looked him in the eye and cast a sleeping spell.

I turned around and ran to Simon. the mage Simon.

I used a speed spell running to him. I only cast an lv.2 sleep spell on him, it will only keep him asleep for a few minutes.

once I reached Simon I slapped him in the face.

"Why!" I shouted with anger in my eyes.

"Why are you doing this?"

he replied in the most friendly voice I ever heard him say

"I want to go back to the old times. I want to play around like we used to."

I suddenly let my emotions take over. I set off the biggest blast of magic, I look at Simon and he just smiles. I ran to an open field knowing Simon will follow me. "I won't go easy on you!" I shouted.

"HA! I hope you don't!" he replied in a sarcastic tone.

he was ready. he took out his sharp wand and I took out a staff.

his devil horns came out and his tail did too.

when I tried to transform it didn't work.

he charged at me trying to impale me with his tail.

I dodged while it skimmed my arm. we froze.

"about now," said Simon. in an evil tone.

in a split second, he charged at me. I tried to dodge and I couldn't my whole body went numb. I was paralyzed. I watched as his tail stabbed me in my stomach. then I blacked out
