Chapter １８

I’m suppressing my anger; I need to calm down. listening to her gushing, I was very upset. I just want to watch a movie. But why does she want to ruin it? Of course, she really wants to annoy the hell out of me.

 The more she was blabbing about her experience and her feedback on the movie, the more energetic she became. It was really irritating to hear.

As she spoke, she lay on my lap. Her two hands with long nails scratched me indiscriminately. I was very manic and wanted to drive her away. But of course, I didn’t want to cause another accident. I don’t want to anger her because she may experience anxiety attack again. I don’t want that to happen. That is why I let her do what she wants. She sprawled on my lap and continued to speak but after a couple of minutes she fell asleep.

When I saw her sleeping on my lap, I turned my eyes to the movie. I wanted to focus but I was getting sleepy. 

The next morning, "Duuu.." I heard an irritating noise. I am awakened by a disturbing sound. I get up hurriedly because I was scared to roll down from the sofa. I immediately raised my head and turned to look around. I thought my home was robbed. I was a bit dizzy from my sudden movement.

"Sorry, I thought it was air freshener. Go back to sleep." I saw Diana. She got up early, looked at me sitting on the sofa with a small horn in her hand, and laughed. I am speechless. How can there be such a person?

She was really being mean to me. and I was really annoyed. If I had a choice I wouldn’t want to be at the same house as her. She is making everything hard for me.

I got up and went to my room, took a bath, got dressed and went to the office.

When I arrived at the company, I saw one of my colleagues, we greeted each other and then went to our own offices.

It was another night of torture. I didn’t sleep well again, of course, because of his mother. When I sat down on my chair, I felt tired so I dozed off.

 "Linda? Someone is calling." I heard someone calling me and saying that there was a call from the telephone. 

I immediately answered the call "Dr. Berthaire's office, Miss Rejoc? Hi? Yes, good-bye."

 I squinted after listening to the phone, slowly bowed my head and fell asleep on the table. Well, I was really sleepy. But there was another call on my phone. this time it’s Diana.

"Linda, come out with me and we’ll go shopping. I'll wait for you at the door of the Chanel store." As soon as I answered the call, she told me that.  After she finished speaking, she hung up without giving me a chance to refuse. “Ding Dong” I received a message on my mobile phone, it was sent by Diana. I picked up my things, retouched my makeup, went inside the office to tell my boss about my leave and then went out, taking a taxi to the place Diana said. 

Inside the car I was rummaging through my bag to get my phone. When I got it, I opened it and searched for the location of the Chanel store. The sign that I saw was "When you can't find the right clothes, wear Chanel suits" is very catchy. And the clothes inside are all exquisite.  After searching for the location, I turned my mobile phone off.

After getting out of the car. I immediately looked for Diana but a couple of minutes had passed but she was still not there. 

When she arrived, she was not alone, there were Two women dressed like her on her side talking and laughing with her. I thought she said she was the only one who went shopping with her.

"Hi, Linda, there you are at last. We have been waiting for you for a long time. Let's go. Let’s see what we can get here." She took my hand and walked to Chanel.

After entering, Diana let go of my hand and went straight to see the clothes. Her two good sisters went with her. I have to say that Chanel's clothes are really beautiful, and each one has been done with utmost care. I saw a silver wedding dress. It looks elegant. I stopped and forgot to follow Diana for a while. I was just looking at the dress.

"Miss, do you need to try this wedding dress? This is the only wedding dress made by hand with silver thread in the store." The sales lady asked me. she saw me looking at the dress that is why she went to approach me.

"May I have a try?" I asked her.

"Yes." The sales lady helped me take down the silver wedding dress and took me to the fitting room. 

I went inside the fitting room excited to try the dress. After changing into it, I looked at my eyes in the mirror, my eyes were glistening. 

Donald came back. He came to me leisurely in a black suit, and then knelt down and took out a shiny diamond ring. "Linda, will you marry me? I wanted to grow old with you. Please let me be the father of our future kids and please Let me guard you with my whole life." I can’t stop my tears from flowing. I was crying and smiling at the same time when I said my answer “Yes” to him.

 He was just about to pull my hand to put a ring on me when Diana came and ruined the proposal. Diana looked at me angrily and said, "I don't agree. I don’t want you to marry my son! You are not qualified to be with him!" She slapped me on my face hard.

The pain on my face woke me up. It turned out that my colleagues had been patting my face and trying to wake me up. I touched my face and felt a layer of sweat. Fortunately, it was just a dream.
