Broken Stories

First of all, welcome. This is a Novel in which I organize and post multiple ideas so my readers can enjoy it, vote for their favorite, and point out what I did well and what I messed up so I can improve. I used to have another Novel with the same idea but since its old, I just made this one instead so it may reach more people since it's better on the algorythim and all of that. That's why this novel's tags may seem a bit confusing. There isn't much to say about it... The current ideas used were: (Their names aren't set) 1-Ascension of the Card Emperor (Reincarnation/Unordinary Cultivation?) 2-Master of the sands of time (Modern Cultivation/Superpowers) 3-Bridgmaker (Transmigration/System/Fantasy) 4-HP: The Dimensional Turner (Fanfic) 5-Why should I increase my Stats again? (Modern Cultivation/Low Wuxia?/Martial Arts) 6-Auto Hunter (Modern Superpowers/Tradicional Hunter & Rifts) 7-The Hidden Face of the Usurper (Fantasy/Monster Command) 8-Dual Class Mutant (Modern/Unordinary Cultivation?/Superpowers) 9-Successor of lost the bloodlines (Fantasy/Magic/Plotting/Demon Mc) 10-Dragonball fic (Self explanatory) - ... /Bubble…/

In a lightly lit room, a man and a woman, their expressions heavy as they gazed at a baby floating within a yellowish solution inside a circular sphere.

An incubator.

The woman approached the sphere as her expression grew a little gentler, touching it.

"Is it time?"

The man's expression tensed as he looked for the answer, but as brunt as his face was, he plainly replied:

"This was your idea; why ask me if you're the one who built all of this?"

"If you have regrets, stop this madness; otherwise, move on with pride, for he will survive regardless of our choices, for he is my son."

"There's nothing else to contemplate."

"... Still… He'll be sent so far away… Just when will he return?"

"If he grows as expected, he'll return once he becomes strong enough. Otherwise, we'll go fetch him up once it's time."

"I've purposely chosen a weak planet to send him to so he has a higher chance of return. If he fails even that… Then it's best he never returns."

"Spich! He's your child! We're doing this so he…"

"... I can always make more." The man said as he left the room, not turning around or hesitating even once

"..."

The woman, on the other hand, remained as she touched the sphere with a deep expression.

Powerlessness, it was such a horrific feeling…

"Please be safe… Turrip. This war we're fighting… It's too much for you. I don't want to see you fight in it…"

'Even if it's not much, I'd much rather have you out there than here.'

/Bubble…/

/Touch…/

The toddler raised its tiny hands, reaching for its mother, causing the woman to smile as she reached for a terminal on the side.

"Turrip, remember my name, alright? Arula."

"..."

/Beep!/

After pressing a few buttons on the terminal, a mechanical arm moved the incubator inside a small spherical pod.

/Clack! Clink!/

Metal echoed as multiple tubes and mechanisms sprung and connected. Causing dozens of small lights to ignite.

"-Destination: Planet Ocenia; 3451XY-"

/Fuom…/

The small pod closed, powering up with a faint hum…

"Come back safely…"

/BURST!/

The pod suddenly took to the skies, vanishing within a few moments…

"... Turrip…"

As the mother looked up as the pod vanished amidst the stars, she bit her lips in distress, wishing to go after it, only to turn back hesitantly, walking to the hallway where her husband awaited.

This entire time, he stood there, waiting in silence. And even as the woman hugged him, he did not show any emotion, only tapping her hair gently, looking up at the sky with a deep gaze.

'Survive.'

/Meanwhile…/

"-System Check routine complete, initiating deep hibernation…-"

/Move…/

"-Hand gestures recognized, please input new coordinates-"

"..."

High above in the deep cold space, the small toddler defied all notions of common sense, his expression tensioning as he raised his arms to a small sensor above his uncubation pod.

'This is difficult. My body's heavy, but if I put too much force into moving, I may end up destroying this pod…'

While his appearance was childish and innocent, his thoughts were mature and concise, unlike those of a child.

'It's been a year and a half, huh… I wondered when this was going to happen. Looks like they chose to send me away… How cold.'

The baby looked outside at the dark void through a small glass window, shivering.

'To think everything between me and the cold embrace of space is a singular glass panel and the thin walls of this pod…'

He grimaced but quickly focused.

'Coordinates… I need a planet to settle down and train at away from the army's grasp.'

'If I fall at my expected coordinate, I'll only end up being captured after a certain time if I avoid destroying the planet, and for the sake of my sanity, I'd prefer not committing genocide.'

'A planet for me to live in… I need some examples…'

Turrip moved his hands around, inciting another reaction from the system:

"-Opening Universe Chart…-"

A small hologram manifested before him, revealing thousands of planets across thousands of galaxies. Some with names, others without it…

'I need a planet that's within the range of my pod's engine and also isn't completely useless… Somewhere I can peacefully grow without worrying much about my mission or the army.'

'There are thousands of planets with life scattered throughout the Universe, but only a few of them have intelligent lives that can help me fulfill my mission.'

Turrip thought for a while before having an idea:

'There are a few that I can remember, but I think one takes the cake…'

With a few extra gestures, the pod made a sudden turn, bolting toward another corner of the universe:

"-Coordinates set: Changing coarse to Planet Cereal; 9017XY"

'Excellent. This shall be the start of my adventure… If I survive.'

Turrip looked at the empty fields of the cosmos, closing his eyes as he felt his body grow cold.

'Soon enough, I'll go into suspended animation. Had it not been for the changes I made before this I would've been unconscious by now.'

'It's so strange to think that until a year and a half ago I was an ordinary person… Sigh. What did I do to deserve this?'

'Out of everywhere to reincarnate… Why did it have to be this weird ass Multiverse?'

'At least… I was born a Saiyan, and at a right time at that. Had it been any later I fear it may have been too late…'

'I have much to do… I have to save them, those that brought me to this world… And if I want to figure out a way to return, for as slim as it may be, then I must grow and reach the pinnacle of this Universe…'

'What a drag…'

Turrip soon lost consciousness, lost within his dreams, his little space pod cruised the universe, traveling across galaxies, eventually reaching its destination two years later…

/FWOOOSH!/

"-Activating crashing procedures, awakening pilot from stasis…-"

"...!"

/Tremble…/

'We have arrived!'

/Fwoosh!/

/Boooom!!/

/Crack… Clank!/

/Psss…/

"... Haa… Cough!"

"Urg… Blerg!"

The attack pod crashed within a dense jungle, creating a massive crater several meters in diameter.

Once it landed, it slowly opened, unsealing Turripd from his "cage" that had trapped him since he was born.

The first thing he did was vomit all of the solution inside his lungs and body, allowing him to breathe for the first time in years.

"Cough!... Haa… Manadnasd…?..."

'Speaking is… Hard.'

'Forget it, I'm happy for being able to even walk.'

Turrip crawled out of his attack pod, taking a deep glance around.

'Saiyans are truly a brutal species…'

'I still remember, the day I first recovered my memories.'

'The first thing I saw was the look of disapproval from my father as he looked at the machine I was attached to. I think I can understand why.'

'Most Saiyans are born with power Levels ranging from ten to a few hundred. I was born with four, which is quite pathetic from their perspective.'

'At first I couldn't understand them, but the Saiyans are quite through with their education… Despite spending all my time since birth in the incubator, they are programmed with thousands of courses meant to teach a child everything there is to know about Saiyan culture and history. This way, within a year, the child knows everything it needs to know for the future.'

'Saiyans possess incredible memory to the point I can remember everything I've seen or experienced since the day I was born. This expands to everything I still remember from my past life, so I haven't forgotten anything since then.'

'I quickly learned their language, or should I say, the universal language.'

'And with time, while my parents were away, I'd take the chance to learn more outside of their monitoring.'

'While Saaiyans are straightforward and brutish, they aren't stupid since they did operate and supposedly even built a spaceship before landing on planet Vegeta… If I can even call it that now.'

'If my memories and the timeline are to be trusted, given the Saiyan-Tuffle War begun around a year before my birth. I should have been born around Age 721 and 722. I can't confirm this because the Saiyans and the Tuffles have their calendars, and until I reach Earth, I cannot confirm this either since I believe the Empire has its own calendar as well.'

'In other words, this means my time is limited. Because at Age 737… Or even years after the end of the War. Frieza will deem the Saiyans too dangerous and with Beerus incentive, will completely eradicate them.'

'This leads me here… A mere Saiyan child with barely ten of combat power being sent outside the planet by his parents' mercy…'

'There are a few things I find odd though; however, I can attach those oddities to lack of explanation in the original story.'

'I originally believed the Saiyans only acquired the technology for Attack Balls when King Cold took over them or when they incorporated the Tuffle's technology. However, there's a chance they already had the technology for it but upgraded it to fit the need to conquer other planets later down the line.'

'The Saiyans were said to be a bunch of rat-tag bastards known for plundering planets and stealing resources from them, selling them for the highest bidder so they could acquire more technology.'

'I think it was said somewhere that the original spaceship they used to scape their dying world was also stolen…'

'Then again, maybe it was due to the War. By conquering settlements, the Saiyans slowly began incorporating the technology of the Tuffles.'

'As for why I was sent away… It's pretty obvious, albeit I didn't imagine they'd do something like this so early in the timeline… It seems the Saiyans truly were a bunch of bastards.'

'I've tried to pay attention to everything they told me from within the incubator, but that thing was almost soundproof… But I know my mother is a scientist, which is likely common now, given that they still need workers to make their society function.'

'In any case, but I have bigger issues now.'

Turrip looked around in distress but also relief. It seems he has landed somewhere in the middle of a dense jungle, which was favorable given he could've fallen directly inside a city, killing thousands, if not more.

'This Attack Ball is quite slow compared to their later iterations, still, the crater it created was quite wide even if it slowed down in the atmosphere.'

'Let's see… I spent an entire year in hibernation?! No wonder I feel so sluggish…'

/ROAAARR!!!/

"?!... Urg…"

'This place isn't safe.'

Turrip entered his pod, activating its systems.

/Float…/

The ball slowly floated in the air, moving above the forest.

'I need a base where I can train. Once I grow enough I can try looking for civilization.'

'With my appearance I'm pretty sure they would recognize me as an alien, worse, if they reognize me as a Saiyan I may be killed on the spot!'

'I've already disabled the distress signals of the pod to make me untraceable, albeit I sent a message of success back to my parents to they believe I've arrived at my destination.'

'From here… It's up to me.'

/Fwoosh!/

The spherical pod flew across the forest like a bullet, eventually crashing against a mountain's peak, hurling like a comet to the ground!

/CRASH!/

"Urg!..."

'Dammit!... The pod is malfunctioning… Of course, this would happen… Mother never intended the pod to be used for me to return.'

'Very well then… Where am I?'

Beyond the mountains was an expanse of yellow and purple.

'A yellow and purple planet… Let's begin!'

Turrip looked around with his keen senses, soon finding a place to call home. A cavern by the mountainside.

With his small body, given it was hard for him to even walk, he was forced to leave his pod behind, bringing with him only a rudimentary scanner installed onto the pod so he could understand the world around him better.

"Huff…"

'From here on out, I'll train as much as I can and raise my power level to a decent Level. Once I'm ready, I'll seek out what I originally came here to acquire.'

'Cereal is home to the Cerealians who are all Humanoid in appearance being exactly like Humans aside from some features like their homogenous blue hair and mutated eyes.'

'However, while their technology is impressive, I'm not here for that. What I seek is the Cerealian Dragon Balls!'

'Long ago, when the Namekians were forced to flee their planet and scatter throughout the Universe, some of them ended up here in Cereal. Living in harmony with their people for generations.'

'My goal is to get my hands on the Dragon Balls and wish for a way to train… That may sound ridiculous, but its what I need most.'

'In the universe, species that can handle Qi or Spiritual Energy are few and far between. And unless I go to Earth or some other planet that is known for that like Namek, I'd have to rely solely on myself or the Saiyans for knowledge on how to grow stronger, but my own species is straight out of the equation since I'm sure I'd only be suppressed… Although it would be far too easy to suppress them back if I grow strong enough.'

'So I'll merely wish for a way to train and reach my maximum potential. I'm sure a Dragon can do that for me, maybe even wish for a Training room that does everything I want to!'

'Like those novels, I've used to read… Wish for a Super AI that can help me study and master Qi beyond anyone's wildest imagination. After all, it's not like there aren't mighty machines out there that can challenge even the Gods' creations.'

'If I can raise my power level to a certain state, I may be able to attain Super Saiyan myself without the need to give in to rage. In fact, it should be rather easy to do so as long as I know what I'm doing.'

'The issue is that I've never once seen or experienced a Super Saiyan, so it'll be hard if not impossible, to grasp the feeling… But I can just wish for that, can't I?'

'The Dragon Balls can do so much, so why not solve those issues? I wouldn't say it's cheating if I achieve the form myself after seeing an example.'

'There may be some conflicts with the Namekian's though… But if I can gain their trust, maybe they'll let me summon it. Otherwise… Well… I'll just gather them up myself.'

"Aahhh… Ahaaa… Humph."

'My throat is still a little sore. It'll take a while for me to speak.'

'My goal… Maybe reach around 10K Power Level before the end of the War?'

'If today is around 722 and 723, then I have around Seven years before the end of the War and the proclamation of Planet Vegeta due to the rise of the full moon. By then, I'll likely be around seven to eight years old due to my time in suspended animation.'

'If I can raise my power Level to a certain degree, I'll be more than able to intervene in the War and maybe even prevent all Tuffle's from dying and the creation of Baby… But that's a bit much.'

'At the same time, if I want to return to the side of the Saiyans… Then I need to learn a way to conceal my energy, otherwise I'll be killed by either King Vegeta in a fit of anger or king Cold or worse… His son.'

'Just thinking about all of this… I'm overthinking, I should focus on the present.'

'There's enough nutritional food in the pod to last me a few weeks. I'll take this time to grow as much as I can!'

Turrip raised his hands in excitement, soon beginning his training.

He began by scouting his surroundings and creating a rudimentary hologram map with the help of his scanner so he could locate natural resources to sustain him during his stay in the wilderness.

He slowly disassembled his pod, as it was useless now, moving its parts to his cavern as he built his base.

In the morning, he would perform simple exercises such as running and jumping around, pushing boulders, and punching a tree.

While he had no form to think of, Turrip had the knowledge of his past life. And while he was by no means a master martial artist, he did possess enough knowledge to help him train with a form. Although how accurate and stable those forms are was up for interpretation…

At noon, he would hunt beasts and eat them after butchering and cooking their meat. As while Saiyans possessed robust stomachs, Turrip wanted to preserve his palate.

At night, in the face of the extreme beasts hunting in the wilderness, he would hide inside his burrow, training without rest.

And like this, slowly ramping up his training, climbing mountains, diving at lakes, hunting the beasts in the wilderness, he grew stronger and stronger in isolation, dreaming of the day he would return to civilization.

Like that, years passed…

/Five years later…/

/Fwoosh! Bam!/

/Fwoosh! Bam!/

"Hupp!"

/Swipe!/

At the mountaintop, Turrip swung his fists at the air, causing impact waves to echo whenever he punched forward.

/Fwoosh! Bam!/

By gathering Qi in his fists and releasing them the moment he punched, he caused the air to tremble and, consequently, the mountain.

"Hupp!... Huff… Hm?"

Turrip suddenly ran and hid, looking at the sky with some concern.

/Fuoom!/

Something akin to an airplane flew by, going into the distance, vanishing within a few minutes.

"... They've grown more common recently. Some of the plains in the distance have also been turned into farm fields… Seems like I won't be able to hide for long… No matter. I've grown enough."

'Five years I've trained without rest. Even if my training wasn't the most efficient, my power Level should've surpassed 100 by now. Maybe even more.'

'While it's not the most dependable level of power, especially with my lack of fighting experience and proper techniques, it'll have to do as I'm tired of living like a caveman.'

/Jump!/

Turrip jumped from the mountaintop, jumping through the rocks like an agile goat. He reached the ground within a few seconds.

/Land!/

"Hoo… My goal should be the Namekians of the planet first… I don't trust the Cerealians enough to reveal myself to them. But if I can get a voucher from the Namekians, things will resolve themselves."

/Swuush…/

"Hm?... Haaa… It's that brat again."

/Shashsh…/

/Plopt…/

A young child jumped from the purple bush, warily looking at Turrip as their eyes glistered.

/Growl…/

'Dammit…'

The child's stomach began to rumble as they looked at him from a safe distance, thinking they were hidden.

'... Around a year ago, when I began noticing the expansion of farms in the region, I met with this child for the first time.'

'At first, the child was lost and needed some help to return, so I hid my tail and hair and guided the child back to the farm.'

'However, I made the mistake of feeding the child some of the food I had cooked, and the child seems to have grown attached to it. Even though it's nothing much, I just cooked the meat of the creatures I came across.'

'Ever since then, the child would constantly get lost looking for me, so I had to help it go back repeatedly. Then, one day, I failed to notice the child, and it saw me.'

'At first I wandered what to do but I just let the child go after giving it some food as always.'

'Hm… Since I'm leaving, might as well feed it one last time.'

/Walk…/

Turrip walked to his base with a large leaf full of beef.

"!"

The child was a little distressed to see him approach, but seeing his smile, it became a little less fearful and approached him with some shyness.

"Here, eat plenty… This shall be the last time."

"... Last time?"

"Yeah. I'll be leaving for good this time."

"Where?"

The child showed concern and sadness, which surprised Turrip as knowing that someone aside from his mother felt sadness for him made him feel a little happy.

Longing… Even if from a child.

"... There's someone I must find so I may save my people. The green people."

"Green?"

"Oh? Do you know of them?"

'There was a reaction, this child has heard of the green people. Which I imagine is normal. Aliens living on your planet for hundreds of years are likely quite the hot topic to be taught at history class… If they even have that.'

/Nod…/

"Really?! Can you lead me to them?"

"... Uhum."

Turrip smiled slightly as he rejoiced internally. This could be his chance!

If he could approach the Namekians with this child, then maybe they would be more inclined to listen.

"Well then… Shall we depart?"

/Nod/

"..."

'What a shy child. I thought he'd be more prone for talking given he's all the way out here, but to think I'd be this mistaken…'

/Thud…/

"..."

'This sound…'

/Thud…/

/Grab…/

Hearing the noises, the child held onto Turrip's clothes, fearfully awaiting him to do something.

"Don't worry. It's just one of those lizards… Let's return. Your parents should be worried."

/Grab!/

"?!"

Turrip held the child, immediately jumping into the sky.

/Shaa…/

/Jump!/

'Unfortunately, I don't know how to fly yet. I've tried many times but never got the slightest clue… Which is quite embarrassing.'

'A Saiyan like myself should have no issues doing it at this age, but here I am… Maybe its an issue of power Level but given how I've been training, I should be far stronger than someone my age unless they were born with Middle Class or Elite Class potential, which I'm sure there are no more than a dozen in existence combined.'

'Saiyans are expected to grow stronger with each passing generation. Especially after they go under King Vegeta given they'll begin systematic training and developing their species as a whole.'

'Of course, that'll likely take decades to take effect but one day one Saiyan will release what it means to train as their knowledge on techniques and combat develops.'

'But that's a matter aside… It doesn't change the fact I can't fly.'

Turrip jumped from tree to tree as he ran to the horizon, stopping once he reached the edge of the forest, putting the side on the ground as he saw a farm in the distance.

"... You okay?"

"... Uhum…"

"Then let's go… Wait, what's your name, kid?"

"... Lekily."

"Nice to meet ya Lekily I'm… Sigh… Turrip… My name's Turrip…"

"Turrip…"

/Smile/

The little kid smiled innocently, prompting Turrip to smile a little as well.

Taking a step into the fields, the little Cerealian followed him into the golden grass.

/Step…/

/Humming…/

On the farm, inside a large house by the golden fields, a woman could be seen cooking something as she looked outside.

Seeing her child approach, she smiled momentarily before noticing Turrip next to it, getting a little confused.

Worried, she stepped outside to see what was going on.

"Liki… Who's this little gentleman next to you?" She asked with a light smile as she looked at Turrip

"..."

'I guess being a child sure helps… Most Saiyans remain as children for most of their lives before having sudden growth spurts around puberty until they reach adulthood.'

Trying to be formal, Turrip bowed slightly as he said:

"My name's Turrip, and I live in the forest. Your son often comes by whenever he gets lost, so I have to help him return, but since there were monsters around, I brought him back myself."

"Oh! Thank you, little man. I didn't know we had neighbors… As for you. I told you not to venture so far into the woods. It's not safe!"

"Mn… But mom…"

"We can talk more about that later, but your father won't like it… That aside, how about you invite your friend to have a meal with us?"

"..."

Lekily turned to face Turrip. It was quite awkward…

"Haaa… Leki… You have to say something…"

"... Food?"

"Sigh."

"Don't worry maam, I don't mind."

"See Leki, this is how you talk."

She turned around, opening the door slightly as she invited them in.

"Come inside. It's quite cold today."

/Step…/

Turrip was quick to get inside, Lekily following right after.

/Clack…/

"Then, young man… How long have you been living in the woods? They're brimming with ferocious creatures. It's no place for a child to live alone." She said in a worried tone as she set up a table for them to sit

"My mother sent me here… Because there were conflicts back home, she sent me away to train. My goal is to train and grow stronger so I can support them."

"My, what a goal! You're a determined child, aren't you? Still, you shouldn't roam the forest alone, its not safe."

"..."

'It seems there's a misunderstanding. I've been living alone for years now… But fine.'

"From the looks of it, you're not from this world, right? Where are you from, child?" She asked as she placed a plate of food on the table

"I'm…"

"You're a Saiyan, right?"

""?!""

An elderly man entered the house, his voice rough and raspy; he looked down at Turrip with a deep gaze as he held a strange gun in his hands.

"S-Saiyan?! F-Father don't be ridiculous. He's just a young child… If he was a Saiyan, wouldn't he have attacked us long ago?"

"Humph, this one is a bit cunning, he's chosen to hide rather than fight… A weak one no doubt, otherwise he would've attacked and killed us all."

"His hair may be smoothed out, but it's unmistakable. I've seen them before, he's just like them. Take off your cloak, brat! Show me your tail."

"... Okay."

Turrip took of his cloak made of animal hide, shocking all as he showed his tail wrapped around his waist.

"I knew it. What do you want with this planet, Saiyan? Are there more troops coming? What are your goals?"

"I'm alone, there isn't anyone coming… I was sent here by my mother because she was afraid for my safety due to the War…"

"Do you think I'm stupid, Saiyan? I didn't grow yesterday! I've seen your kind fight, how they act, how they feel on the battlefield, do you think I'd believe your silly story? A mother feeling compassion for a child? Your kind tricks others by playing as children!"

"You're all Demons!"

"... Then pull the trigger."

"!"

"Just pull the darned trigger."

/BAAM!!/

The old man pulled the trigger without hesitation, causing a flash of light to ignite in the room.

"What?!"

However, to his surprise, Turrip remained intact without a single shred of damage.

"..."

"Get away from them!!"

/BAAM!!/

Another shot rang, but once again, Turrip just caught the energy blast with his palm, walking past the old man as he went for the door.

"... Thank you for the hospitality. If you don't mind, I'll be taking some clothes with me."

"Stay healthy, I guess."

Turrip walked outside with a deep expression, not turning back at all.

Inside, he felt depressed and angry, but he knew deep down that this anger wasn't due entirely due to how they acted.

The old man saw him as the spawn of a terrific monster, which he was… He couldn't blame him for that.

The best he could do was leave. But Turrip wasn't that kind. He needed clothes or anything to go by, so he went to a nearby shed and took a few supplies with him. Soon after, leaving behind a baffled family, Turrip vanished in the distance.

/Vrroom!/

Far from the farms, Turrip drove a motorcycle down the road, thinking about what he experienced before.

'... How foolish of me. This isn't Earth or some remote planet. This is Planet Cereal, one of the central planets that Frieza will eventually gobble up.'

'The fear of Saiyans and other similar species is already embedded in them… Approaching them only risked my well-being.'

'Well… I guess that came due to me wanting some human contact. A shame that it had to end like that.'

"What now…"

'I have little to nothing on me. I mean, I do have this bike I stole from them and some supplies, but they won't do much for me.'

'I should stop by somewhere down the road and try to ask for directions, but I can't be too obvious… How weird would it be for me to go around asking for the Namekians' location?... Especially if they're in another continent?'

"But before all that I need to do something about my hair… My clothes are pretty normal now but my eyes and hair stand out too much."

"I can hide my eyes with dark glasses, but my hair…"

'Looks like its time to go bald… They'll grow in no time anyway.'

He stopped by the road's side, and holding a small knife, he slowly cut his hair by looking at his reflection in the wing mirror.

'Goodbye, my glorious spiky hair…'

Once he went full bald, with a sigh, he sat back down on his motorcycle and turned it on.

"Urg… I'm too small to drive this…"

With some difficulty, he managed to push the pedal and drive.

/Vroom!/

Turrip ripped the motorcycle engine, raising dust high in the sky!

/Stop…/

'A gas station… It looks like one at least… I hope its one.'

'I don't have any money on me but those guys over there look sketchy, maybe I can "ask" them for some help…'

A group of muscular bikers in exotic clothing stood on the corner of the building, smoking and talking with each other.

Their clothes were rather odd as it seemed as if they were wearing balloons around their body… But maybe there was a reason for that as they were all very muscular, and with the balloons, it made them look even bigger.

/Chatter…/

"Excuse me."

""...""

One of them, a thinner and taller biker crossed his arms, raising an eyebrow as he looked Turrip up and town:

"A lill spawn? Watcho-bi-de-ing in da quantrisade boyo?"

"..."

"EHHH? Yo Ma-me taught you nothing brat?" Asked another one of the bikers, a stronger but shorter one

"... My mom abandoned me."

""...""

The bickers stopped talking, until another one, seemingly their leader, said:

"Then what about your father? A child shouldn't be here in the middle of nowhere… Look at your pupils… They're green. That's a sign of malnutrition, especially with those black eyebrows."

"!"

'Crap, I forgot to take my eyebrows off… And my eyes are an issue, too.'

'These guys don't seem to have noticed the oddity in my right eye yet. The Cerealian's right eye has its pupil and iris fused to grant them incredible vision.'

'Maybe it's just because those three don't seem to be paying too much attention… Still, they may realize something's off soon… Unless this is normal for Cerealian children.'

"I... I don't know. I just need directions."

"This brat… Doesn't even know his own condition… How did you even get here… Where do you need to go?"

"My mom told me to look for the green guys. Do you know them?"

"The chappy ones?"

"Erm…"

"He's talking about the Namekians. You really need to work on your words, the kid can't understand you at all."

"Dung."

"Kid, if you're looking for the Namekians, you're at the wrong place. They live in a remote Village on the other side of the globe."

"What?..."

"He can still reach them, though."

"As if. If he drives that crappy bike, it'll take him weeks. And in his current state I don't think he'll even reach the nearest city by dawn. Much less drive through the interplanetary highways."

"Do you even have a PDI?"

"PDI?"

"Personal Database Identificator." Said the tall, skinny man; he seemed to have trained to speak those words properly…

"Sigh… It's hopeless… No cash, no identity, no power…"

"I'm pretty strong, though. Can I reach the other side if I'm strong?"

'Might as well play the clueless card here.'

"You can go anywhere if you're strong kid, which isn't your case."

"I am pretty strong. I've hunted beasts in the woods."

"Heh, right you have kiddo… Say, see those bottles over there? If you can snipe one of them from here I'll give ya fifty Kernel. How about that?"

"Okay. But I don't need a gun." Turrip replied as he turned away the pistol

'Kernel… That must be the currency of this world… So much for Planet Cereal.'

"Without a blaster? What are ya planing to do, kid? Throw a rock?"

/Raise…/

Turrip raised his left hand, pointing it at the bottles.

/Gather…/

"Wh…"

/FLASH!/

/BAM!/

A small, white energy ball formed on his palm, being released before him faster then the bikers could even process.

It reached the old broken bottles lined up on a small stone wall, being blasted into pieces all at once sending splinters flying around.

"W-Wa… Warrior! You're a warrior!" Said the biker boss as he looked at Turrip with extreme surprise

"Warrior?"

"The Elite soldiers of our race, to think I would have the honor of seeing one in person… It's all explained now." He said with a broken smile as a bead of sweat fell from his forehead

"You mother must be a Warrior as well. She must've given you a trial to grow your power… But it doesn't look like she planned to have you accomplish the task at all."

"Huh?..."

'Isn't this guy just overthinking? Are warriors that impressive?'

'I do have a faint recollection that the strongest warrior of this world could blow up the moon, so I guess someone like that would be seen in absolute awe by others… Not that you need a high power level to do that anyway…'

"Can I go to the green guys now?"

"Erm… Without a PDI there's nothing you can do, even if you're strong… But I may have a solution."

"There's an illegal sniping competition that happens…"

"Too long!"

"... I… I can call in an old friend of mine and ask for a favor… I can pay him but…"

"I'll pay you ten times over later."

"Alright. Give me a minute. I'll call him."

""...""

'That was easier than I thought. It seems warriors have quite the reputation on this planet… As long as I can get to the Namekians, the rest should do just fine…'

/Later…/

"Alright kid, hang on tight. We'll be reaching our destination by dawn. This lady may be old, but she never failed me."

"Kay."

'I didn't expect much but this is worse than I thought… But a plane is a plane… Even if they have spaceships in this world. Although from what I've seen so far, this planet doesn't seem to be at a high-tech level yet.'

'It's likely that most of their knowledge on the worlds beyond their own come from the Namekians. Maybe their spaceships are reserved for the elites who control the rest of the world's technology… But I don't care.'

/Cha cha chaaa… Vrooom!!/

The old plane took off, piercing through the clouds!

/Land…/

"Hooo… We're here, kid. Earlier than expected, the winds were in our favor. However, you'll have to stay quiet now as we have to cross the border."

"Technically speaking, the Namekian Village you seek is outside the mainland. However, right now, we're inside, so we have to get out."

"... That won't be necessary."

"How so?"

"Just give me a direction, and I'll go there myself."

"On your own? I know Warriors are strong, but you should avoid overdoing it. Especially against the border guard. They may be no warriors but if they get rilled up and call a few, even a Warrior such as yourself will get in trouble."

'While I don't expect much to happen to him given he's just a child, it'll only end up falling onto my shoulders… Besides, while I've been paid already, I'd prefer to build some connections…'

"Then let's do it like this, fly over the village and drop me there."

"What?! You plan to parachute… Even then, aerial space above the village is restricted, I can get a little closer, but I…"

"Then we'll see each other in fate allows. I've memorized your phone number and will contact will to repay once in the future…"

"No… I can't let a kid like you go alone… Sigh. Alright, I'll get you there. This old lady still holds some gas!"

/VROOM!/

"..."

'That was easy. Being a child sure makes things simpler.'

/Sha sha shaa!!/

"We're here kid! The village should be beyond those mountain ranges! I can't fly over them even if I wanted to as she can't go over them! You'll have to make the rest of the way on foot."

"Okay! Thanks Mr."

/Open! Jump!/

"... So as I said before, you'll need the parachute… Hm? Kid?... DON'T TELL ME HE JUMPED WITHOUT IT?!"

"KIIIIDDDD!!"

"Namekians, here I come!"

/FWOOSH!/

Turrip fell from the skies with a wide smile, gazing at the mountains, his next destination.

/Fwoop!/

/BAAAAAM!/

"Hurf… I need to learn how to stick my landing."

'Okay… I've prepared for this for a long time… I know my lines. I can't fumble this.'

/Dash!/

'I've trained my body for years but I doubt I've improved much at all. I need systematic training, Martial Arts, Techniques refined over centuries and millenia.'

'If I rely solely on myself I'll at most surpass ordinary Saiyans and maybe King Vegeta in due time, but that's nowhere close to the goal I have in mind.'

/Gather… Blast!/

Energy condensed in his feet, exploding with great force!

Turrip was sent into the skies like a comet, his boots burning as he left a black trail in the sky.

From up there, he could see it, a strange Village beyond the mountains.

'There they are.'

/Fwoop!/

"?!"

/GRAB!/

"Wh…"

/Fwoop!/

Turrip suddently saw himself in the middle of several green people looking at him with confused gazes.

"Erm…"

"I brought him Elder Monaito."

Turrip turned around to see a large green man with two antennas. His arms were crossed, and most of his body was veiled under purple combat armor.

"Thank you Batu, I'll take it from here."

"..."

Turrip turned to face the elder Namekian, he was full of wrinkles, walking around with staff due to his advanced age.

He seemed frail and weak, from the faint Aura around him, Turrip felt he was weaker then even most Cerealians, which was quite the feat. But he knew it was but a feint.

"Never thought I'd see your kind here… But I guess it was but a mere question of time. Your kind has been like that since they first aimed for the stars, hasn't it young Saiyan?"

"A Saiyan?! Are you telling me this bald boy is a Saiyan?!"

"Shouldn't we get rid of him then?"

"You idiot, if a Saiyan has been sent to this planet than regardless of what we do…"

/Chattering…/

/THUD!/

"Silence! This isn't a parade!... Child, answer me truthfully. Why were you sent to this planet?"

"... My mom sent me here because she was afraid I'd die in the war."

"What?!"

"The Saiyans are at War? With what?"

"You idiot! The Saiyans are always at war! That's how they do things!"

/Chattering…/

/THUD!/

"This is my last time warning, if anyone interrupts, they'll be sent aside."

""...""

"Excellent… Now, continue."

"There's nothing else to add. I was sent here many years ago so I would miss the War, that's all."

"Hum… That's not the full picture is it? You're hiding something."

"I… I want to train under you! Please accept me!"

As he said that, Turrip bowed down, showing his shining head to everyone.

""?!""

"W-What? Can you repeat that, child? You want to train with us? Why?"

"... I want to grow stronger! Strong enough to protect my mother and my people. Strong enough to be able to make my own choices!"

"I want to be my own being, someone who isn't tied to stereotypes, I want to go beyond and surpass what all expect from a Saiyan! To be someone better than them, someone I can be proud of, a Saiyan, unlike all others… A Super Saiyan!"

"... A Super Saiyan, you say… And how do you intend to do that?"

"Training diligently! Reaching a balance between the Mind, Spirit, and Body! I believe Saiyans have let themselves be ruled by emotions that limit their potential. I want to reach this potential and become a figure others, not only Saiyans, can admire not through fear, but respect too."

"My kind was born to fight, and I know that! However, I wish to fight for something aside from mindless destruction! And even if selfish, I wish to become a fighter that can bring something to this universe other than fear!"

"This is why I sought you out. Teach me what it means to be a warrior with honor! Help me unfurl my potential!"

"And why would we do that?! Elder! This child is dangerous! I've never heard of a Saiyan like this before! How can we even teach such a brutish species!"

"Batu. As this child said, we must see beyond stereotypes… We're better then that."

"But Elder…"

"Not now… Child. I can accept you, but you must promise me one thing. You'll never use your power to conquer others like your kind did."

"I won't ask you to try and educate them. I know how ridiculous that notion is, but I ask you not to escalate things further. To never seek other planets to conquer and plunder."

"Alright! It may be hard, but I'll strive to adhere to those words! I never wanted to rule anything anyway… If I have to destroy a planet, it won't be to plunder or take advantage of its people!"

"Haha… That's good enough for me." Monaito said as he turned around

"Batu, you'll be in charge of training him from now on. If he can't handle your training, pass him along to someone else."

"Elder… Very well."

"As for you, listen well to Batu. He's our strongest Warrior. If there's someone to train you, it's him."

"Yes!"

"Good. And don't cause trouble alright? I don't want to hear any complaints."

"I won't!"

Monaito smiled, his eyes looking past Turrip and gazing straight into his aura.

'This boy has no Evil Qi, he's a pure child, regardless of his race.'

'I guess its true that no being can truly be born evil, it's the world around it that corrupts it… Even if before its birth.'

'Maybe this child can grow to be an example for others of his species, a way for the Saiyans to redeem themselves… But that's for the future.'

'His Qi is quite considerate, much higher than I would expect from the average Saiyan much less a boy his age, but he clearly lacks control, being surprised by Batu despite his energy being enough for him to put up a fight.'

'If he can master his own power, he'll already surpass all of us, I must make sure he holds no ill intentions until then. Although it looks like he's being genuine.'

'Saiyans are known for being upfront about their intentions, so I guess I can take his word for it… I'll leave it for Batu to decide.'

"Oh! Silly me, I almost forgot… What's your name, child?"

"... Turrip…"

"Then welcome Turrip to the Namekian Village of Naplop."

"..."

"You, Saiyan spawn, follow me. I'll guide you to your residence."

"Ah, yes!"

"From now on, you are to refer to me as Master and nothing else. Training begins at Dawn and ends at Dusk. Failure to come up to training in those times will result in transferring to another warrior. Failure to keep up with training and expectations will do the same as well."

"Understood Master!"

"I assume that given you came after us, you're aware of our habits?"

"Some of them, but not all!"

"Here, we only consume water for sustenance, however, I'm aware Saiyans cannot metabolize water into nutrients so I'll reserve part of our daily training for you to hunt your own food. Failure to hunt and prepare your meals within the given time will result in you having to skip lunch."

"Failure to complete training due to weakness will not be accepted. You're fully expected to find your own food, but we'll provide you with everything else."

"Yes!"

'A Saiyan's body must be broken for their innate traits to flare… Although I'm worried about my health in the long term…'

Batu turned to face Turrip before looking forward silently.

"... Humph."

"Here it is. Your residence. It's pretty bare, but that's how things are around here. If you want to improve it that's up to you. It's yours now."

"... How do you guys make money?"

"We don't need it. Albeit we keep whatever we make through transactions with the Cerealians. Mostly through healing and counseling."

"Whatever extra we make is kept secure to be used in times of emergencies or for simple supplies. However, just because we don't need it doesn't mean we'll lend any of it to you. If you want your own items, then work for them yourself."

"Understood."

"That's all from me. Meet me at my residence every morning from this point onward. We'll resume this conversation then."

"Master!"

"Yes?"

"Where's your residence?"

"... Over there." He replied as he pointed at a small white house similar to the others

"It's small."

"Humph. I don't like large spaces."

/Turn around…/

"Don't forget. Be on time, else forget about me training you."

/Fwoosh!/

The namekian warrior vanished, confusing Turrip but also filling him with excitement.

His training Arc was about to begin!

/The next day…/

Outside the Village, next to a secluded house by a lake…

"Hm… You're here. I heard you didn't leave your home for the entire day. I imagine you're fed?"

"I'm used to hunting at night when the biggest creatures hunt; it makes it easier for me to find them."

"I was thinking of taking them down and preparing them so I can eat their meat and sell their hide and other valuable products, but I have no idea how."

"We can leave that for later, for now, let's begin with a simple exercise."

/Nod/

"First, I'll need you to change into our training clothes. They're little oversized but they'll do for now until we make new ones." Batu said as he pointed at a box on the side

Turrip approached the box, inside was a set of clothing that seemed to be a mix of arabic desert and martial training clothes.

As he held them, he realized they were a little heavier than normal…

"Heavy, aren't they? They are weighted fabric developed by the Cerealians. The full set should weigh no less than 500 Granis."

"..."

'Granis?... It's hard to tell how much this is given I'm also pretty strong, but given this planet's gravity is similar to Earth's, and some objects I saw on my way here, I'd say this is approximately 100 Kilograms.'

"From now on, those are your clothes. Throw away the previous ones you wore and only take these ones off whenever you're going to sleep. If I see you without them, I'll immediately disqualify you from my teaching."

"Yes Master!"

'Huff… They're heavy but not by much. I can take this no problem but I won't be able to fight on them very all at all… Not that I was good at fighting anyway.'

'I usually hunt with energy blasts. The only times I ever hunted with weapons was when I was younger and unable to control energy properly.'

Turrip put on the clothes, everything from his shirt to his boots were weighted, however, it was when he put them all at the same time he realized the issue.

"This… They're each 500 Granis?!"

"Heh, seems like you realized it."

"Your shirt, scarf, pants, and boots are all weighted, totalizing to around 2000 Granis."

"This will be your ordinary weight from now on. If you cannot move while on it, then forget staying here!"

'Actually, this is our second heaviest weighted clothes set. The heaviest ones would be the ones I'm wearing, which total 5000 Granis. However, this set was made specifically for me, the strongest Warrior of the tribe.'

"Huff… You lied…"

'S-Shit… With this much weight I don't think I'll even be able to run properly…'

"Humph. I said the set would weigh at least 500, and it didn't. Now stop complaining, and let's move on."

"..."

"If you can train in this set for a few days, then we'll have a new one made specifically for you. Until then, you'll have to prove worthy of using it."

'I originally intended to disqualify him with this, but he's resisting better than expected… At this rate, if he collapses from the training while wearing it, the Elder may be dissatisfied with my performance.'

'... Most fully fledged warriors train with that much weight, what to say a Saiyan child.'

"Your first task will be to release your inner Life Force. As while I can sense it from afar, I need to gauge your limits first."

"Release?... I think I understand."

"Humph, that much is obvious…"

"It's just that I've never done it before."

"What? You've never released your energy?"

/Shake…/

"Ever since I was released from my incubator, I've lived without the need to release my energy, hunting down the creatures around me for sustenance."

"While I do remember doing something similar when I was young as a form of training, I never tried releasing my full power in fear of being found by planetary forces and killed in a misunderstanding…"

"My species isn't well seen in the universe and I don't want to be pulled by that notion right into my grave."

"... Humph. Very well. There's always a first time."

'His energy is already quite considerate without any sort of strain. I expect it to double at most once he releases his full power. But that alone would be equivalent for our warriors.'

'It would still be short of my energy, but not by much.'

'Elder… While I do agree I sense no malice from him at all, this doesn't mean we should be okay with training such a dangerous Saiyan… No, not just a Saiyan but a warrior with such latent potential.'

/Inhale… Exhale…/

"Urg… Hupp!..."

/Crackle…/

The ground began to quake as Turrip's Qi gathered in his body…

"... I'm waiting."

"Huff… Arrrg! I'm… I'm doing it!"

"... Is this it?"

"I-Is something wrong?"

"Is this really all you can do?"

'His energy didn't even raise much. He's not even gathering his Qi, he's just flexing!'

"Yes?..."

"Do you even know how to gather Qi?!"

"Am I doing something wrong?!"

"... I can't believe it… A Saiyan who can't even gather his own energy… Maybe your story was true after all. Your mother sent you here because she was afraid of you dying from how useless you are."

"..."

'It's not like I had many examples to go by. The data inside the pod and shown to me as I grew up were quite deficient of proper explanations.'

'I'm afraid to say that most technical and theoretical knowledge likely belongs to Higher Ranked warriors solely. Lower ranked ones like me and my parents have to rely solely on themselves to grow.'

'Most Saiyans likely learn how to do everything from observing others. Meanwhile, I only had videos to base myself on, and even then, I failed many times likely because of my mentality not equating that of a Saiyans. I'd even say it suppresses the Saiyan instincts within me.'

"... That said, it seems your issues stem from a lack of experience. That much we can solve."

'This kid barely even reacted when I insulted him. I heard Saiyans have immense pride and tend to grow stronger as they grow angry, but he barely even flinched…'

'He has a focused and sturdy mind, but that also limits him. Saiyans aren't meant to be so cool-headed.'

"Show me how you manipulate Life Force."

"You mean like this?"

/Gather… Blast!/

Turrip condensed an energy blast in his palm, releasing it at a bolder in the distance, destroying it without even batting a sweat.

"Can you do anything else?"

"I can gather energy on my feet and explode it."

"... Anything else?"

"I can kind of shape this energy like this." He said as he gathered another energy blast, but this time, he curled his fingers, causing the energy ball to become akin to a small four-pointed star, as if it was being crushed

/RELEASE!/

/CUT!/

When this distorted energy ball was released, it became four beams of light akin to sabers that ravaged the land like whips, exploding in the end, and releasing sparks all around.

"!..."

'Not bad, that wasn't completely useless. It seems he's a Saiyan in blood one way or another.'

'He doesn't lack ability. What he needs is a firm foundation… I can't believe I'm doing this…'

"I've figured out your issues. From now on, you are to abolish everything you know."

"Yes, Master!"

"Do you know why?"

"Erm… Because I don't know anything?"

"Correct, you're like a clown playing around in the field. Until you understand how to manipulate energy properly, I banish you from performing any of those techniques you developed."

"You'll rebuild your knowledge and eventually rebuild your fundamentals and understanding, seeing these techniques with a new perspective."

"I will!"

"We'll begin with a simple exercise."

/DASH!/

Batu dashed forward, running through the lake's surface.

"You are to cross this entire lake and meet me on the other side. Do not remove your clothes even if you are to drown. If you can't swim…"

"Failure!"

"... Humph."

The Namekian flew through the lake, stopping at the other side, his arms crossed as he waited for Turrip to begin.

"..."

'I consider myself a good swimmer but going through the lake with four hundred kilograms strapped to me and prohibited from gathering my energy…'

'I may die… But if I live… I'll grow stronger.'

'Remaining still won't give me the life I want. If I wish to learn the truth, I must grow stronger and pursue it myself!'

/Step… Step…/

'There's no time limit, slow and steady with proper form, if I can maintain my stamina I can reach the end!'

Turrip walked into the lake, beginning his hellish swim…

/Splash!/

/Gasp!!/

"... Humph. Can't you swim any faster?"

"HAAA… HAAA… HAAA…"

'I almost died a few times…The worst wasn't the lake itself but the vines…'

"You had some trouble with those vines, didn't you? The lakes looks quite clean and pristine from above but it's considered unsuitable for swimming."

"Those vines are extremely resilient and have a tendency to tangle rather easily. It must've been hard to cut them with those weights." He said with a light smirk as he looked at the lake

"HAA… HUFF…"

'Then why have me swim it?!'

"From now on, you'll swim here every single day after meeting me in the Village, this place, far from the Village, will be our training spot."

"..."

"Now, let's start with something simple. While you may be a child, I heard Saiyans have a physiology that makes physical training suitable even in this age."

"One lap around the lake, you have two hours return."

/Dash!/

Turrip didn't hesitate, but in his mind, he cringed.

'This lake is massive, how am I supposed to run around it with this much weight? I've barely rested from swimming!...'

'Dammit! Why did I have to reincarnate in this universe?! There are so many cooler worlds out there!!! Who did this to me?'

'Why?!'

Turrip's training would make him wish for death.

/A little over three years later…/

In the training field next to the lake, Batu and Turrip trained together as threw fists against each other.

/Fwoosh fwoosh!/

"Faster!"

"Hupp!"

/Fwoosh!/

/Crack!!/

Eventually, the fight ended as Turrip landed a hit against Batu's chest, breaking a small porcelain sigil hanging around his beck.

"Well done. We'll call it a day with this session."

"..."

"What is it? You've been awfully silent these days. Something's on your mind?"

"... It's almost the full moon."

"Is it again? Not that it's a problem for you anymore ."

'Two years ago we had to send him off planet due to the Full Moon. But I heard he was sent somewhere else to transform so he can control his transformation. Though I never asked if he succeeded.'

"I'm not walking about myself, I'm thinking about my home world. The war will soon end."

"How come? From what I know, they've been fighting each other for nearly a decade if not longer… Wait… You mean…"

"You're right. It's about time the full moon cycle ended on Planet Plant. Once that happens, the Tuffles will cease to exist."

"..."

"I plan to prevent that."

"... Even with your current power, ending a war overnight is impossible. No one will listen to a child even if you factor in Saiyan culture."

"I know, that's why I plan to just put them in a situation where they can't fight."

"Hm?... I don't follow."

"... I'll use the Dragon Balls to move all Tuffles to another planet."

"!!"

Batu's expression tensed as his eyes trembled.

"You… You must be aware of what this means."

"I am. The Dragon Balls are an object of worship meant to celebrate powerful Namekian Warriors, but this time, I must break tradition."

"Breaking tradition can lead to further distortions! This isn't a matter to be taken lightly!"

"And neither is the destruction of an entire species. I must end this cycle."

'Honestly, I just want to prevent the birth of Baby, the ultimate Tuffle. If I can save the entire Tuffle species, this may prevent his creation… Albeit I'm afraid it may be too late by now already given the War is reaching its end.'

'Even if I save them, the Tuffles may still choose to create Baby or worse, improve it and create the ultimate killing machine, maybe even worse than Cell.'

'It would be impossible for me to take away all their anger, but maybe I can slowly make them reach an agreement… Although I have no idea how the Tuffles would react knowing their world was taken away from them.'

'I can't take the Saiyans away because I'm certain they would just come back and destroy everything just the same.'

'My biggest fear is the consequences of this action, for I'm certain this would attract King Cold's attention. And between a live Tuffle species and a dead one, I'm not certain how each would affect the power of the Cold Empire.'

'Either way, I guess preventing Baby from being born is by far my greatest priority. Everything else doesn't matter.'

'I could potentially wait for their death and make a wish with the Dragon Balls for the location of all Tuffle parasites and kill them myself before they can mature, however, that's also a risk.'

'Between choosing to maintain the order of things and face risk facing an ultimate parasite… Or risk facing something even worse by letting them live.'

'Honestly, if I wasn't a Saiyan I would've have cared as much but I am. And above all… Baby, like many other Villains, is a psycho I don't want to see let loose.'

"... By your expression, it doesn't seem like you intend to let this go."'

"I can't, Master… This time, I cannot stand down."

"Humph. I won't stop you, but answer something for me."

"When you first approached us, were you thinking of the Dragon Balls as well?"

"Yes. They were the easiest solution to my problems. Albeit my plans have changed over the years as I refined them."

"I see… So I guess this is goodbye."

"Pardon?"

"Don't act as if you don't know. Your power has long surpassed mine as you mastered everything I had to offer. Even now, training with you only serves to limit your potential. I can tell you've already set your gaze elsewhere. It is just proper I let go of you."

'Even though I tried keeping up with him, one day, I suddenly lost track of his real ability. Now, I only try to grow stronger by pushing myself, even so, it isn't an exaggeration to say this whole planet is at his mercy.'

"..."

"Honestly, I still don't trust you. However, you've made me change my thinking. And if you can make me change, make you make a species do so as well."

"If you want the Dragon Balls, you're going to have to ask the Elder. He keeps them safe at all times."

"I will."

"... That said, what are your plans? You must have some given how long you usually spend thinking in your free time."

"My plans?... I'll likely go to another planet and train like I did now. I'll keep doing this to every planet I know until I master everything I want to master and reach my true absolute limits."

"I'll keep pursuing stronger opponents and higher mastery over my arts, that's all I seek!"

"... Heh."

"! Did… Did you just laugh?"

"Your imagination. Now get on with is before I kick your ass off the Village!"

/SHA!/

As he said that, Batu flew into the skies, vanishing from view.

"..."

/Bow…/

Turrip bowed slightly, saying:

"Thank you Master, for these years of patience and training."

'I may depart now but I'll never forget you and everyone else. I'll come visit often, that's a promise!'

Smiling lightly, Turrip flew over the lake, dashing toward the Village.

"... Elder…"

"Hm… Young Saiyan, alas, you're here. From the looks of it, today must be the day, isn't it?"

"... Yes."

"I knew this would happen eventually. You never hid your intentions but I welcomed you nonetheless, there is no need to make such a face."

The Elder Namekian turned around, revealing a pair of dragon balls small enough to fit within each of his hands.

"The Dragon Balls are meant to celebrate our brave ones but today they shall save the lives of many others."

"That… It isn't true yet… I have to convince the Tuffles first, otherwise they'll just refuse to be transported elsewhere."

'This is honestly the worst part of my plan… Not that its a solid one in any shape or form.'

"Hm… I feel as if that isn't all there is to it. You want to use the Dragon Balls. For what purpose?"

"... I want to learn how to train."

"Train? What more is there to it?"

"... I don't know, that's why I want to ask the Dragon Balls. I want to learn the ultimate way of training, and if there isn't an answer, I want something that can help me train so I may reach my true potential."

"Why seek such strength when you're already so powerful child?"

"My strength is nowhere near what I need so I may live peacefully. There are beings out there that if they wish me dead or gone I can do little but accept their decision… And that irks me."

"I'll make my own decisions. That's what I want."

"Hum… Then I'll wait for the news here."

"Thank you Elder, I won't take long. After all… I don't have much time left."

"How do you plan to leave the planet? We do have our old spaceships if you want it."

/Shake…/

"Too slow. I'll be taking a spaceship from a rich Cerealian."

"How did you get such a contact anyway?..."

"Remember how I usually went outside to raise money? Thing is, I usually worked for the government to capture stray warriors. And since I was vetted by Batu and, in short, the Namekians, they trusted me enough to handle these situations."

"It wasn't anything impressive anyway. It was mostly training by Batu, but it helped me raise quite a bit of money for the Village and myself. And in preparation for today, I rented a high-end spaceship a rich dude I helped bought from another planet."

"You were quite through…"

"It was just one of my options."

"... Thank you." Turrip said as he bowed his head

"For what?"

"For giving me a chance. Most don't wouldn't risk it, especially with a Saiyan."

"Ho… Don't think much of it child, I just did what was right."

"That enough is deserving of respect… I'll take my leave now. Say goodbye to the others for me, although I'll be back soon to say that for them myself."

"So I won't say anything. Come back and say that to them yourself."

"... I will."

/Clack/

Turrip closed the door behind him, flying into the air, leaving behind a pensive Namekian.

"... I wonder what you're so worried about, child… I hope that you can solve it… That shadow in your heart."

Monaco looked up into the sky, his eyes somber and heavy.

/Fom fom fom!!/

In the outskirts of a nearby city, a medium sized spaceship about the size of a house slowly powered up, shining faintly.

The ship was like a large rectangular with three triangular thrusters on its sides. They hummed with heat and power, ready to take off.

"Setting course, Planet Plant."

"Perfect. How long will it take?"

"Two weeks."

"Not short, not long, I'd say it's just enough."

'Once I get everything I want, maybe it wouldn't be too much to ask for a fast spaceship with the Dragon Balls, wouldn't it?'

"For now… Time to train."

'This ship, while a rental, has far more than just basic facilities.'

'The man who owns it is quite indebted to me as I saved his son in the past. To it, I asked if I could have the spaceship for a while, and he agreed.'

'When he asked if this was enough to repay his debt, I asked if it was possible to modify the ship and after some talk, he managed to add a simple gravity chamber as I requested at the cost of some of the ship's speed due to its size and the reinforcement of the ship's hull.'

"Just like a certain someone, it's time to train in augmented gravity. To grow as much as possible until I return."

'After nearly ten years… Enough being emotional.'

"Increase gravity, five times!"

/FUOM!!/

In the center of the spaceship, a large sphere of light akin to a small star hung inside a small dome.

Underneath it, an altar of metal and tubes buzzed with energy and power, stabalizing the ball with faint arcs of lightning.

To accommodate this gravity chamber, much of the ship's interior had been removed to create one continuous training room with everything Turrip needed. Leaving behind only one room with a bathroom.

The machine trembled with power, sending bolts of light across the sphere's surface.

/Crunk…/

The world grew heavier, and immediately after, the machines around him began creaking.

While such a sound may strike fear in anyone in the depts of space, he knew everything was fine as the sound came not from the hull but from the machines around him.

"Huff… Not bad. I barely even feel it."

'The maximum weight for some of the machines is about 200 times their own weight, so I have a lot of leeway.'

'This gravity chamber can go as high as 150 times the gravity of Planet Cereal, I wanted it to be higher but anything more than this could compromise the ship's hull. In fact, I don't plan on raising the gravity past 100 times at all.'

'I won't risk it when I'm deep in space…'

"Ten times!"

/FUOM!!/

"Hoo… Good enough but not enough to make me sweat… Even so, I'll spend a few hours to get used to it first."

'Work hard, study well and eat and sleep plenty… I have a lot of time on my hands.'

"If everything goes as planed, I should be doubling if not tripling my power level by the time I reach home. With that much power I'd be confident in not getting killed by anything… But that remains to be seen."

'Even with the Namekian's teachings, I still have much to learn.'

/Step…/

Turrip made way to the training machines, starting his warmup.

/Two weeks later…/

/Land…/

/Fwoop!/

In a white landing pad next to a glorious white city, Turrip landed his spaceship, getting outside soon after.

He was welcomed by several burly Saiyans, their tails tucked in their waste, they all seemed rather happy to see him.

It was normal, after all, to them, a child had returned from a faraway planet alive. And regardless of the context, this meant he had survived and most likely conquered all of the challenges before him.

At this point in time, there was little management regarding who came and went from the planet as the Royal line of the Saiyans had yet to be established and joined the empire's dominion. As such, his disappearance was likely never reported as there was no one to report it to.

"Child! Tell me your name and your parents!" Ordered a strong Saiyan with long, smooth hair

"Turrip, son of Arula and Broctar."

One of the Saiyans was surprised by the name his expression twisted into one of extreme surprise:

"Broctar? That brute had a son?!"

Given Saiyan society consisted solely of a single city with several thousand inhabitants, it was normal that most of them knew each other, given their extreme memory.

"I do remember him talking about his wife being pregnant, but that was years ago… He must've sent his child off planet." Someone else said as they looked at Turrip

A woman with short black hair, she was slender and not very tall, however, she had a deep and imposing voice. And the scar on her left arm was no joke.

She was a warrior Saiyan.

"He doesn't have his face though, he's lucky."

"..."

'My father wasn't ugly but he was quite stiff…'

"Well, guess we should call him then. Didn't he just return from a skirmish with those pests?"

"He should be at home since a friend of mine was in his squad. I'll go fetch him up." The girl added as she jumped in the air, flying into the distance

/Smack!/

"That said, welcome back, kid!"

"..."

"Ho! Not even flinching, huh! Quite sturdy! How old are you, brat?"

"I spent around a year in suspended animation, so I'd be around eight."

"Eight and this well built already? You're quite tall for your age, too… Looks like you'll be quite the warrior, and you grow up!"

"..."

'The concept of Low, Middle, and Elite Class warriors hasn't been made yet, but there's still the social pressure of being weaker than someone else. Still, it's not as tense as it'll be in the future.'

'As for my size, I'm no different from a 5-6 year old child, I'm afraid. Saiyans just sprung up around puberty so there are many years left until I grow into a proper height.'

'I look older because I'm a bit taller given my physical training and stretching over the years, maybe Cereal's gravity being lower then Planet Plant helped as well.'

"Hm? Seems like Peppra found Broctar's address. It's up to you now kid." The burly Saiyan said as he turned around and left

The other Saiyans also left, leaving him alone with his spaceship.

"..."

'How the fuck am I suposed to know where to go?'

For his relief, not long after, the Saiyan woman came for his rescue, giving him an address to follow.

Not long after, he arrived at his parent's home.

"..."

'This is it, I have faint recollections of this place, mostly from when I left in the pod. I do remember seeing this place momentarily as the pod launched into space.'

'It's quite interesting to see that my parents are a rare Saiyan couple. Most don't tend to stick together like this or care about their children at all. At least not as much as Humans would do for comparison.'

"Sigh…"

'I don't really expect much from my parents anyway. I want to give them a good life but they're Saiyans, the only reason why I'm trying to be this compassionate in the first place was due to my mother's actions, otherwise I may have just checked up on them once and left like Vegeta did when he learned of his home world's destruction.'

'I would love to give the Saiyans or my parents specifically the chance to try and become more gentle beings, but changing people requires far more than just words.'

'Either way, better get this over with.'

/Knock…/

/OPEN!/

The door opened in the blink of an eye as a woman jumped from within, embracing Turrip as she cried.

"You're safe! You're finally home! My son!..."

The Saiyan woman's happiness was so great her tail kept jumping around the place.

"..."

'As I thought, it seems female Saiyans have a softer spot for their kin then the males… Although my mother is on a whole other level.'

'It's nice… I'm not alone in this world.'

/Step…/

"You're back."

A strong Saiyan stepped out from the house, his arms crossed, he looked down at Turrip and his mother as she spun around with him in her arms.

"Hm… I can barely feel your Aura. Is this how you come back after all these years? How did you even survive?"

/Turn around/

"I have no such weakling as my blood."

"Dear…"

"... Humph. I could say the same." Turrip replied as his expression grew heavy

"What?"

"Your Aura is so low I thought I was looking at a wild animal." He said with a mocking smile as he looked at his father

"You… Do you think I won't act just because you're my blood?"

"Try it. When you wake up tomorrow morning we can talk again once I knock you out."

"... Very well. Let's solve this outside."

"Broctar! He just…"

"Not now. This brat needs to learn some manners."

/Fwoosh!/

"This… It wasn't supposed to be like this…"

"Turrip, your father, he…"

"I know mother. Don't worry, I'm not weak." He said as he hugged his mother back, surprising her

"When dealing with Saiyans, one must act like them."

"... But you're a Saiyan…"

"Only in name. Mother… I grew up in another world, the way I think is beastly different from father's… But this doesn't know I don't understand him."

"Once I show him how strong I am, he won't treat me like that anymore. That's just how things are. Speak with your fist."

/Fwoosh…/

Turrip let go of his mother, jumping in the air after his father.

"..."

'This is going too fast…'

Unable to hold herself, she flew after them as well.

/Land…/

"Finally. What took you so long?"

"I was talking with mother. Let's begin."

"Humph."

/Raise…/

His father wasted no words, raising his right hand, he gathered his energy, releasing an energy blast at Turrip.

/FUOM!/

"T-TURRIP!!"

'He won't evade it in time!'

When both of them saw Turrip show no intention of evading the strike at all, it was clear they assumed the worst.

Even Broctar showed momentary surprise. However, he was about to be completely spooked.

/Slap!/

""?!""

Without even taking another glance at the energy ball, Turrip parried it with the back of his left palm, causing the ball to flow into the sky, dissipating as it vanished amidst the clouds.

"This…"

'Did he just parry my energy blast? Impossible!'

"Humph. You were all talk before, yet you didn't even make me move. Perhaps its time for you to retire, old man."

Turrip acted arrogantly with reason, this was the only way to speak with a native Saiyan.

"... Very well. I'll treat you seriously."

'Something's wrong. I can't feel his energy at all. What is going on?'

'He is just like those pests. They have no power, yet the blasters they carry can significantly damage us. Could it be… He is hiding his Aura? But is that even possible?'

'I must confirm it.'

/DASH!/

Broctar dashed forward, intending to punch his son without mercy.

/PUNCH!/

/CRACK!/

"!!!"

His fist reached his child, yet he didn't even flinch even as the impact caused the ground to shatter.

"..."

'T-This is utterly…'

"What is it father? Have you realize the difference in our abilities?"

"For the sake of your pride I'll let you step down now. So let's go home and…"

"BRAT! I'M NOT DONE YET!"

"B-BRACTUS!"

"HOOOOOOOOO, TRY STOPPING THIS KID!" Bractus said as he powered up before him, raising both of his arms upward, gathering a strange vortex of energy

"SPIRAL CRASH!"

A spirraling energy ball with whisps of energy gathered in Bractus hands, landing directly onto Turrip's head, causing the land around them to explode as if a mini-nuke had been detonated!

/BOOOOOM!/

Light flashed for a brief moment, and in the distance, all of the trees suddenly lost their leaves as an invisible impact wave ravaged everything for several kilometers.

Good thing they flew quite far from the city, otherwise they would've awaken everyone and likely been thoroughly punished for these actions.

"Huff… Huff…"

'D-Did I over do it? I… I wasn't thinking straight. I used almost all of my energy in that single attack. And for what? To prove what? That I am better than a child?'

"Huff… Dammit…"

"What are you groveling all about for?"

"?!?!?!"

Standing still with his arms crossed, Turnip looked at his father with a nonchalant expression, waiting to see if he had anything else in store for him.

"You… H-How are you unharmed?!"

"Isn't the answer pretty obvious? My power eclipses yours. I have long surpassed you…"

"Father."

"..."

'My son… That child with a measly power so low it was barely noticeable… Has surpassed me before reaching puberty?...'

'Just how come has this…'

"T-TURRIP!!"

"... It seems you gave mother quite the scare, so go calm her down now."

"..."

"What? Do you want to continue this meaningless fight? I can fight back if you want, that is, if you want to show your wife the sight of her son beating her husband unconscious."

"Let's treat it as if this never happened."

"... Your Aura… Why can't I feel it? You're far greater than me yet why…"

"Your understanding of the world is as wide as those trees are tall… You satisfied yourself with the little power you gathered here on this planet. Satisfied with the glory and praise from your kin."

"I pursued more. That's all there is to it. I came to see worth in what you all deem meaningless and came to learn things you would never even take a second glance at."

"... How strong have you become?"

"Humph… What's the point in trying to measure me?"

"..."

/Fwoosh!/

"T-Turrip?! Broctar! What were you thinking?!"

/Hug…/

"I…"

"We'll talk about this later! Oh no… Look at you, all dirty… Are you okay?!"

"I'm alright mother. Father stopped his attack right before it reached me. I'm unharmeed."

"He did?... Of course he did!... This is great…"

"..."

As Arula hugged him, Broctar looked at Turrip with a heavy gaze.

He couldn't understand it, the depts of his son's power.

After a short reunion, they returned back home.
