Be the best they say

They don't see how hard I try everyday

Even if they did they would say it

wasn't enough anyway

Perfection they ask

But they never asked if I was up for the task

I wish I could say my life was a blast

Don't call me flawless

Don't call me fearless

Cause there are times I want to be careless

The pressure i try to oppress

They even see how am depressed

I guess for my family I live to impress

But am alright am alright

God's the author of my life but I wish I had a rewrite

I'll hang on I'll hang on

But I wish the pain was long gone

Yh I smile but my life isn't all fun

You won't understand

Am falling but I'll take a stand

Cause that's what the Lord demands
