CHAPTER 4

The next day, Xavier dropped Roxy at college and waved her goodbye.

After he drove off, she ran to her sister's first class and met Effie.

"Effie, we need to talk." Roxy strolled into the classroom.

"What happened?" Effie asked, confused.

"Bathroom," Roxy said, leaving the class with Effie behind her.

"Elsa, what is going on?" Effie asked, closing the door.

Roxy pinned Effie to the door before she could turn, putting her left hand at her back and pressing her against the door.

"It seems I am doing a good job playing Elsa'' Roxy said, her voice sounding dangerous and pleasant.

"Roxanne," Effie said as a look of realization hit her.

"You finally realized," Roxy said, swinging the girl across the tiles.

Effie felt a strain in her knees as her movement stopped.

"What is going on?" She groaned in pain.

"About fifteen before Elsa comes here," Roxy calculated.

"Now I want you to listen to me real closely," Roxy said, with a dangerous smile and chilling eyes.

After fifteen minutes, Elsa strolled into the just as Roxy had predicted, wearing a knee-length skirt and a long top with lilac sunglasses.

"You are obsessed with my sunglasses," Roxy said, taking off her clothes.

"You refused to get me a similar one," Elsa said, doing the same.

"I will get you one later," Roxy said.

They exchanged clothes and backpacks before strolling out together and bidding bye-bye.

Elsa left for her class and sat beside Effie as usual, "The plan worked out; the guy is Xavier," Elsa said.

"Do you know why your sister married a stranger for you," Effie probed; she was risking her skin.

"She cherishes me and wants to make me live the life I want," Elsa said with a slight smile.

*She doesn't know anything* Effie thought

"My sister told me to greet you, and she would like to chat with you since you seem like a talkative," Elsa said.

Effie's heart skipped a beat *She was warning me; she probably knew that I would do something

"My sister can be rude sometimes, don't mind her," Elsa said.

Roxy was at Mike's place since she needed to discuss something.

"What are you doing here?" Mike asked, not hiding his annoyance.

"I came to relax," Roxy said, entering the house.

"Don't you have a house?" Mike asked, despite knowing the answer.

"That place is like a bird cage; I feel disgusted the more I stay there," Roxy said, plumping on the chair.

"I need you to do some digging on a girl, Effie Lancaster, and everyone she is related to, both dead and alive," Roxy said, sitting up.

"Isn't that your sister's best friend," Mike asked, concerned.

"She knew about Xavier's marriage proposal and decided to play secret; I almost made a mistake," Roxy frowned; her eyes were deadly.

"I need something against her to keep her mouth shut since she already knows about our little switch," Roxy smirked.

"When will all this stop?" Mike asked, genuinely worried.

"Once I have Xavier's baby and have given birth to it," Roxy said.

*The way she talks makes me feel creeped out* Mike shuddered

"Isn't that too much," Mike gulped.

They later discussed about her business and how it was going. When It was almost time for Elsa to close, she quickly left Mike's place. Roxy got there fast, and they exchanged clothes. A chauffeur was waiting for her; she got in, and it zoomed off.

Mike brought out a file from his drawer after Roxy left and went through it. After a while, he phoned someone.

"Why are you calling at this time?" A female voice came through.

"She is at it again," Mike sighed.

"Whose information does she need this time?" The female voice asked.

"A girl named Effie Lancaster, deliver every information on her to me; don't exclude anything," Mike said.

"Okay," The female voice said, and the line went off.

"This is too much," Mike said, burying his head into the files.

Elsa got home tired.

"How was school?" Her mom asked, giving her an apple.

"Fine, did Roxy stop by?" Elsa asked, her teeth sinking into the apple.

"She didn't, ....and it is better this way...." Her mom said, mumbling the last sentence to herself.

"That's fine; she is busy lately," Elsa said.

"Mom, Elsa said I should move into the dorms by the second semester," Elsa said, taking her laptop out.

"That fast." Her mom frowned.

"I have to go if we don't want to go," Elsa said.

Roxy was busy in her room, reviewing the content on her laptop.

"I need a smoke," She sighed.

"How am I going to continue with work?" Roxy asked herself.

She took a book from her drawer and wrote down all her thoughts, crafting them into a plan.

"Things are getting out of hand," Roxy frowned.

*She didn't want to do this, but her father was like a devil breathing down her neck. *

"I pray nothing happens," Roxy sighs.

A knock came in; "It's time for dinner," Xavier called out.

"I am coming," Roxy said, loud enough for him to hear.

They sat for dinner and ate in silence, after dinner.

"How was school?" Xavier asked.

'It was fine," Roxy showed a sweet smile.

"You confronted Effie today, didn't you?" Xavier asked, asking the maid to bring juice with two cups.

"Yes, I was annoyed," Roxy said shyly.

*I am amazed; I thought the girl would be angry, but she is taking this too calmly. I still can't pinpoint the problem because the person in front of me is either Elsa or her sister, who can play her role perfectly; the latter is impossible; that girl is prideful* Xavier thought, staring at the smiling little girl.

"It seems you two are pretty close," Roxy said as the maid poured juice for both of them.

*That bitch should better keep quiet as I told her to* Roxy thought.

"Yeah, we are she is like my little sister," Xavier said, sipping the juice.

"She is used to talking about you so much that plays a big part in not being nervous around you, and considering we have met," Roxy said, sipping her juice.

*That erases my previous suspicion* Xavier thought

"Enough about Effie; let's get to know each other," Xavier said.

"Let's start with our favorites," Roxy said.

"Okay, what is your favorite color?" Xavier asked.
