• Ryū's POV •

"The flow of your cursed energy isn't exactly irregular, but behaves rather different than the way it usually does."

Right now, I am being trained by this Silver guy. Right now, he saw how my cursed energy reacts.

"When you punch, your cursed energy wasn't slow..."

I replied after knowing that there will be the word "but", "But, what?"

"But it was the opposite."

"Opposite? You mean, it cursed energy hit first before my fist?" I asked.

"No, not quite. It hits first, yes. But it was like an earthquake with an aftershock. The earthquake is when the cursed energy hits before your fist. A trilionth of second before your fist does, and it's power is like an earthquake and after that, your cursed energy will go inside the target, alive or not, will create an after shock since it strikes from the inside which is much more fatal than the attacks from the outside. But of course, that's only two hits as the first strike stays inside until it explodes like a bomb, and your fist will be the detonator which causes the bomb inside to explode. All in all, I didn't expect that you actually and unconsciously able to use my Fighting Style." He explained which shocked my quite a lot.

"What was its name?" I asked him.

"Shōgeki-ryu. And it has a much more stronger version: Shin Shōgeki-ryu." [A/N: Shin Shōgeki-ryu means "True Shockwave Style".]

Before I could even speak, he spoke.

"There are three ways, or I develop more, to utilize this style. They are: Hankyō, Eikyō, and Shindō."

"Ano... Aren't they the same?"

"No, they don't. Hankyō is the one with aftershock. Eikyō is like a cannon at point-blank range. Shindō is the shockwave that passes through the air. If you want to become a Jujutsu Sorcerer, I advise to not to do so."

Eh?!

"Why not?"

"You have no talent for swordsmanship. You barely mastered Water Breathing, and you are thinking that Hinokami Kagura is nothing more than the first Breathing Style made to fight demons with dance-like movements. Your skills are shit. Your think the world is not that scary, aren't you? You're very wrong. The world is as cruel as it can be. Your talent in swordsmanship is trash, and your passion to become stronger is nothing but a thin layer of paper above of who you are. It took you 7 years, yet you're still at the strength of a Grade 3 curse? How pathetic can you be? Face the reality, you're a trash! I don't even have a speck of respect for you. You are only able to kill a Grade 3 cursed spirit because of the strong weapon I've crafted for you, thinking that you could use it properly. But all I got is nothing but disappointment."

That...

.

.

.

.

.

Is true...

I'm just a trash. My talent is worse, I heavily relied on a strong weapon, and I mastered nothing. I'm a disappointment...

Even so...

"Even so... I will work my hardest!" I shouted at him. "Itte-te!"

He smacked my head very hard.

"You shouldn't work your hardest!"

"Huh?"

"You should train to the death until you learn!"

• Silver's POV •

The kid has no talent for swordsmanship like his ancestor, Kamado Tanjiro. However, his dedication on one thing is incredible. Right now, I took him in a place with harsh conditions. I never told him where we are training, but he never asked either.

Right now, I am training him in a place known as Dragon Valley. Despite being called like that, it wasn't full of dragons. It's the opposite, there are almost no dragons here. Only one or two exist here, but they were asleep.

We are in a huge mountain with harsh cold climate along with thin air. This is where I trained for 6 months and came back to the village after I got exiled out of the city. As this fanfic is not about my story, I decided to not reveal it and let you all readers to figure it out who I really am and why it did happen.

[A/N: CHOTTO MATTE! Please, refrain from breaking the fourth wall!]

Please, refrain from talking to yourself.

[ (●__●) ]

Now, back to the story. Right now, he is descending the mountain, with deadly traps that I'm sure have 50-50 chance of him dying or surviving another day.

The kid, as I said before, has no talent. However, it doesn't mean that he can't improve throughout these whole week. He improved, and improved, and improved. An endless cycle, even a little change, would divert this cycle out of its endless path, creating another path, choosing his own path.

The kid can use my Fighting Style unconsciously while I developed this style in a year, which might still be fast, but it doesn't mean that you can learn it any faster than a year. Even if he has no talent in swordsmanship, he got decent talent in martial arts. If I compare it to normal and average people, then he would be on above average level, below genius level.

Even so, his potential is high. If cultivated properly, he could easily lift a 300 kilo of a huge boulder while still can run at the speed of 20-meter per second. That was fast considering he's carrying a boulder. If he doesn't have that boulder, he can run at least more than twice the speed with a boulder on his shoulders.

--------------------------------

Ryū was able to dodge some traps as well as dodge a log that wants to pummel him. As he ran, he noticed the knives I set up for his training which he was able to dodge along with a scared look on his face.

I want him... to have a chance to get stronger as he would just die in this world.

--------------------------------

The next few days, I made him run down the mountain so he can run with a sword without difficulty because his bad habit is affecting his movements.

And so, he got ensnared pretty much frequently.

--------------------------------

"991! 992! 993! 994! 995! 996! 997! 998! 999! 1,000!" He finished a thousand swings.

"500 more!" I added.

"*Tanjiro's gasp on ep. 3*"

--------------------------------

I told him things about katana in general. While they are strong vertically, they break easily when the slice done is a horizontal cut.

But there is a way to avoid breaking a katana by putting force in the same direction the blade is facing at. The direction of the blade and the direction of the force behind it must be exactly the same so the blade wouldn't snap itself.

As I have forged the katana he's using for training, breaking them means a good beating. In other words, I will snap his bones like a twig he is, especially when I made them myself.

--------------------------------

Next, I trained his reaction speed which is not much of a disappointment due to him having better perception than humans, maybe on the level of one-tomoe sharingan. Yes, I know about that, don't ask how.

Still, he's defenseless when his body can't react properly to what his eyes are seeing. So, I trained him so hard in this part of the training which made him want to kill me in one attempt, but I just tossed him away.

--------------------------------

"I know you already know all 11 Water Breathing Forms." I told him.

"Then, what should I do?" He asked me as if it wasn't obvious.

"Of course, train diligently and master the forms."

"Right..."

• Ryū's POV •

I finally did it! I've finally managed to climb down the mountain way easier than the first time I did even though the difficulty is much higher right now.

My movements are now clean of bad habits and polished with correct movements. My sense of smell and eyesight have become much sharper. Now, I can identify how strong a curse is and I can now see a needle tip from about 5 kilometers away. [Edit: I was suppose to write 5km but forgot to remove the zeroes.]

Impressive, right?

Aside from that, I was taught of spearmanship since a Nagamaki is technically a sword and a spear combined together.

Also, Silver's spearmanship is very beautiful and I asked him to teach me his style, but he said that he is self-taught so he can't really teach me considering his spearmanship suited him and I don't fight like he does.

He can just tank a hit and then he will deal double the damage he took to his enemy. Basically, his fighting style needs a person who have a very flexible body and quick reflexes as well as strong instinct as his fighting style doesn't discriminate. His fighting style can be used against humans, monsters, and even when hunting animals.

To me, it kinda resembles Hashibira Inosuke's fighting style, but less loud and mental capabilities are added along with tactical reasoning and strategical thinking.

All in all, he seems to be a person who can fight while formulating plans without getting distracted even if there are multiple enemies because he demonstrated it once when he literally massacred a dozen of grade 1 cursed spirits.

He told me one thing though, "You are already strong, it's just your skills that lacks because you didn't have a teacher to teach you until now. But, if I were to grade you right now, I can say you are still grade 3 without using any techniques. But if you do, you should be high grade 2."
