Mince meat murder

He approached the gate cautiously. Upon arrival, he opened the gate and continued his journey leaving the gate under lock and key. Along the way to the agro-chemical store, he met an old friend. His name was Stanley but something was off. His t-shirt had human blood and he had a human bite mark on his neck, which was still oozing blood. His hair had began dropping and he drooled.

He gazed into the empty sky. However, Alex decided to greet him and tell him enthusiastically about what had happened. It stared at him with its head tilted. As if trying to contemplate what to do. He told his story and told it what he was going to do. He put on a fake smile. It hurt him that also his best friend had been affected by the virus.

He dared not to shed a tear. Maybe this was the new reality. He looked up to the sky. "Oh my! Look at the time!" he exclaimed. With that, he continued his journey. The tarmac road had been overcome by dust and potholes. Finally arriving, he found the door to the store locked from the inside. Bars had been put up behind the glass door. The windows had also been barred tight. He wanted to get in so he checked the back door. It was open. He pushed the door open.

Creek!

It was wide open. He walked in. The floorboards creaked loudly as he walked briskly. He heard something fall: a book. Then, a low grunt. He stopped and listened. He heard the low grunt again and shuffling of feet. He contemplated and continued. He heard the low grunt again. As he got closer to the entrance of the front side of the building, he heard as if someone was chewing.

'Who in the world is eating?' he asked himself. He peeped and saw a sight that almost made him throw up. He looked again just to make sure his eyes were not playing games on him.

The store owner lay on the ground. A man eating a person, chewing slowly on the man's neck. His fingers twitched as blood oozed indicating he wasn't dead yet. Alex stood there stock-still. Rooted to the ground by fear. As he stood there watching, another passed right beside him and they made skin contact.

He held his breath to conceal his presence. It approached the body and it began feeding. Alex crept past them. He began searching for anything relevant to agriculture but mostly books. The stench of blood attracted more of the cannibals. They piled up at the barred front door.

He heard glass shatter. Though it startled him, he ignored it. As if bad luck had decided that day was his special day, a thick book fell from a shelf close to him. His heart began racing. The two cannibals came running to where the book had fallen. A third one entered the building through the back door. Then, the three began walking around the area. At many times, they passed right in front of him and did nothing.

He crept away from the area and came across a fantasy shelf. One book caught his eye as he passed by. He picked it and read the title in a low voice: "Zombie Invasion." He opened the first page. The first diagram scared the hell out of him. It was exactly what these cannibals looked like. His heart raced as he read that bitten individuals would turn into one of them.

That's when a shadow covered him. He looked up slowly and almost jumped back. The store owner had turned into one of these zombies. Alex felt disgusted. Th storekeeper's intestines hung out and touched the ground, his heart could be seen pumping and for some reason he had no lungs. Blood still dripped from the open areas and the bite marks.

It looked at Alex for a while and it seemed to contradict itself. After a moment, it too began patrolling the area, staggering along the way. A loud gunshot was heard.

Bang!

The zombies in the building headed for the front door. Alex got up quickly to leave through the back door. But, he slipped and fell splat on the puddle of blood and bits of meat. He writhed in pain and agony. The three zombies in the building rushed over to him.

They crouched and began to lick the blood and meat bits off him. 'If they decide to bite me, I'm a goner,' Alex said to himself. Once they had licked him clean, they got up and began patrolling the building again.

He got up and left the building through the back door. But as he was leaving, he met a teenager holding a gun. The teenager pointed the gun to his head. "Who are you?" the teenager asked. Alex put a finger to the teenager's mouth. "SHHH! They're going to hear you," Alex said calmly and softly.

Alex touched the tip and lowered the gun. "Now stay calm," Kingstone said. Suddenly, the door behind them burst open and four zombies appeared. The teenager wanted to put the gun up but Alex wouldn't let him. Alex embraced the teenager tightly.

The teenager tried to resist shouting, "We'll get turned into zombies you moron!" Alex didn't care about his words. The zombies approached them and passed them. "Be quiet," Alex whispered. Once the zombies had gone, Alex let go of the teenager.
