Chapter 2 New Day New Life

I sit up and look around me this time Lily you will not win New Day New Life. I will protect all the things I hold precious to me. I make that vowel to myself.

Ivan's POV: Did she really just ask me to marry her. I remember dying trying to save her for that bitch and bastard Lily and Cody. And the look look of horror in her eyes as she watched them kill me. If only I told her how I felt much sooner. Then our marriage wouldn't have fallen apart. But do she really want to marry me.

As I get up for the bed and go down the stairs I see Lily and her mother. I if my memory serves me right, Lily's mother was only able to marry my father because of a scheme that her and her family did.

My mom was her elder sister . But my mother wasn't very loved by the family. Because she was the child of the woman my grandfather was forced to marry as Lily mom is the child of the woman he loves and they drugged my father. Then Lily mom slept with my father and no one told him that she was pregnant until she was already 8 months long. My mother was heartbroken to know that my father got her sister pregnant. And I remember that after my father passed away Lily mom her name is May told that my mom believed in my father and never thought the baby that she had was was his because she knows her family and so May killed my mother to take her place. My Father never gave Lily and legitimate status. He took care of her and raised her. Because he thought that was the fatherly thing to do. But this time I'll protect my father. I couldn't protect my mother, but I'll bring her killer to justice and run the rats out of our house. The funny thing is Lily is 2 months younger than me. The same as my mother and her sister. Me and Lily are 18 year old and well still have school. I remember Lily uses her popularity to get me thrown out of school. Lily was named the campus Bell because I didn't dress up and My hair covered my face and because I believe my sister when she said I look good and if I show my face people would laugh at me. I hid my face behind my hair now I know she just didn't want people to see my face. My eldest brother Leo is the next head of the family. My second brother Liam is a famous professor that give lectures at some of the most prestigious schools. And My third brother Luke is a famous actor and singer. I remember before my third brother disappeared that he was in a major accident that caused his face to be disfigured. My third brother is a year older than me. So he goes to the same school as I do but he barely attends any classes.

I walk past Lily and her mother acting as if they don't exist. I won't let May fool me this time. My father and brothers just came home and at the same time it the maid walks in and says that dinner is ready. So we all go to the dinner table. 

Iris how are you feeling now Leo ask me. I feel much better now. That great but how did you fall into pond Liam ask me. Bite on my lower lip. Hesitant to tell them what happened. Lily jump in Iris is it true that you confess to Cody and and that's why Mia push you into the lake. Mia is Lily's best friend.You know that Mia and Cody has a marriage alliance. Haha Lily it funny that you say that because I'm sure you're the one that confess to him not me and when I try to tell Mia that I didn't confess to him she push me into the pond and all you did was stand there you didn't even try to save me. WHAT you didn't help your sister you know she can't swim Lily my father yelled at her. N no I run to get help Lily said. Then why do Mia think Iris confess to Cody if you're the one that confessed to him Luke ask. I didn't and I don't know why and Mia say that someone told her that Iris confessed to Cody. Oh so you going off of hearsay Lily well I don't like Cody in the slightest. After all already have a fiance. His name is Ivan. I see her face go black before she smootheses it out again.
