Chapter 11: The journey home/Talia's wound

"Well we best be going. Come on Little boss we have to take you back to your cell." "Yeah I know. Sorry brother." "Hey its all good. Hey Princess. What's going to happen to my little brother?" "I don't know. We haven't had a trial for him yet. If there is a guarantee he won't kill anyone again he and his men can leave I am sure. I won't turn you in but you should stop as well." "I will. I only created this organization for the Evans family. Now that I don't need to go after it I'll announce its disbandment. Create a new one to help people. We were just flying fine and feeling the breeze when I felt a pain in my stomach. "Cough. What the hell?" "Princess! Who shot her?" "It wasn't us I swear!" said one of the men. "Look behind us." "Oh man." "Elsa fly as fast as you can back to the palace. We know the way." "Ok Be careful. Hmm." "Knights stay with them. Try not to die." "Alright. Survive ok Talia. Promise us." Then Elsa was shot down as well and we fell on the ground. Talia passed out and so did Elsa. "No! Talia! Elsa!" "You sons of a bitches. You hurt the princess and her friend. Dammit we told her we wouldn't kill anymore. Its self defense so I guess we can." So they all fought and killed every one of the men. Luckily there wasn't a lot. The older brother came down and ran over to check on the princess Talia. "Hey Talia are you ok? Talia?" He checked her pulse. "Shit her pulse is slowing down. We need to stop the bleeding. Let me check Elsa." "She seems ok. Just a hurt wing. Passed out from the pain. One of you take Elsa. I'll take the princess. Hey doc. Can you stop the bleeding on the princess?" "I can try." He ran over and pulled the arrow out at once and she was bleeding nonstop. He tore his coat and wrapped it around the wound. "I did what I could hopefully it will hold until we get there." "Hey how long can the dragons fly? It takes 4 day to get there." "Ok well the dragons can go 2 days at a time. So the 3rd night they will have to rest." "OK sounds good." SO we flew off and he knights stayed on the other dragons that were going to follow the boss on the horses. Since the knights are supposed to watch them.

It was the 3rd day and it was time for the dragons to rest. Lucky there was a cave nearby. "How is she? How is the princess?" said big boss. "The doc checked on her and said, "She looks bad. I think the worse would tonight and tomorrow night. After that we will know." "Shit. Ok is there anything we can do?" "Just keep her warm is all we can do." "OK then." Then Elsa was waking up. "Hmm. Princess. Princess!" The doctor noticed Elsa was awake. "Easy girl. The princess is fine for now. The worst will be for the next 2 days. You were hurt too. Don't worry we will help you get home as well and get looked at. All we can do is keep her warm." He said petting her. Then Elsa started to relax. She walked over and laid next to Talia. "I have an idea. Elsa. If you can understand me. Can you lift your good wing and put her under it to stay warm?" She nodded like she understood. "Ok." Big boss had Picked her up carefully and put her in Elsa's arms. "Ok try to get a good nights sleep. WE will leave around 8:00am."

The next morning. Everyone was getting ready to go. Talia was barely still alive but she still has a pulse. "Hey is there anyone who has a carrier bird?" said the doc. "I have one. I'll send a letter to the king to let him know what is going on." So he wrote the letter and told him where the letter was going and it flew off.

The letter said:

Dear king,

I am a friend of Talia' s your daughter has been hurt bad. Have a doctor ready in her room. We should be there in the next day or 2. She has been shot by an arrow. Our men stopped the bleeding but we don't know if that was enough. Her bird was shot down too. She is fine too just a hurt wing. Sorry about what happened. I hope she will be fine.

Talia's friend,

Big boss.

Finally they got there the next day. At least to the forest area. "OK the dragons can't go past this point." "Can you walk Elsa?" She nodded. "Ok lets go then." The big boss carried the princess. Then they made it to the palace gates. "We have been expecting you. Go on in." Then the doctor and the big boss went inside. "Where is the Princess's room?" "Princess!" It was the doctor. "I'll show you. Hurry now. She looks bad!" "Oh god. Sister!" "Lycan calm down. Your sister will be fine. she was shot by an arrow and they stopped the bleeding. The doctors need to make sure she will be ok." Jay came out as well. Just in time to see Talia being carried all bloody. "What happened to Talia?" "Its ok Jay. The doctors will tell us when they are done looking at her." Said the king. "Please be ok Talia. Please please." Said Jay.

The doctors took the ripped part of the jacket off of her to see how bad the wound was. "Did it go all the way through her?" said the palace doc. "Yeah it did. I'm surprised she lived through that." "Well luckily the arrow wasn't poisoned. What happened to the men that did this to her?" "All dead. Me my men and the men that worked with the princess killed them." "I see." "Well you did a good job stopping the bleeding. Lets stitch her up and wrap her up. Did the worst pass?" "Yes it did. She will be fine when she wakes up. Thanks for saving her life." "Hey it's a doctors job right? I may be only in my mid 20's but I know a think or two." "Haha yeah. What do you think about staying here with me and learning a think or two?" "I wish I could sir. I have to stay with the boss and make sure him and the others stay healthy. Well why not make yourselves comfortable in the village? There are some houses available." "Really that's great. I will talk to the boss about it. We would have to go home for now so we can get our families but I will have to see what the boss says." "Good. I'm glad." So both doctors left the room and told the others that she will be fine. she just needs to rest until the stitches dissolve and its not tender anymore. "Thank you doctor." "Oh and don't worry about the man you had in the dungeon. They should be here shortly. Oh and my boss is the man you put in the dungeons brother. He is the one who carried her in here." "Thank you I will talk to him." Said the king. Jay and the siblings went into Talia's room.

"Hey you guys. Go ahead and sit on the couch." Said Lycan. "Ok brother." Said Onyx. Onyx laid on Azura's lap and she ran her fingers through his hair. "You tried little brother?" "Just a little bit." "Ok go to sleep. I will let you know when she wakes up ok?" "yeah." They stayed in her room all night.

Then next 4 days Talia was finally waking up. "Hmm. I'm home? What the hell happened? Ow. Why does my stomach hurt?" She lifted her shirt and saw blood on the gauze. "Oh yeah I was shot with an arrow." Then I remembered Elsa. "No is Elsa ok? Ow." Then she saw her brother and Jay sleeping next to her bed. Then the other two big sis and little sis on the couch asleep. "Aww. You guys. Hey brother, Jay, I'm awake." "Hmm. Sister?" "Yeah its me." "Talia! Your finally awake! How do you feel?" Azura and Onyx heard Lycans Voice. "My stomach hurts. How is Elsa? Is she ok? She is fine. Relax. She just had a hurt wing and it healed two days ago." "How long was I out?" "You were out 4 days. We were worried you weren't going to wake up." "I guess that's not surprising for bleeding so much. How long do I have to stay in bed?" That's when Jay stepped in. "The doctor said until your stitches dissolve and your not tender anymore." "Damn. It hurts. Did he give me any medicine for the pain?" "Yes right here." He gave her the medicine and she took it. "Once I am better I think I am going to cut my hair short. Its getting to be a pain in my but. Especially when I get hurt it gets stained with my blood. In fact when my stitches are gone I will hire that stylist what was his name? Oh yeah Kyle. I like him. I'll look in his catalogue and see what style I want."

"Hey at least I made it in time for your birthday like I hoped. I came quicker than before." "Yeah you sure did. Who were those men you brought with you Talia?" "Oh sorry he is the boss we put in the Cells big brother. His gang was the one after your family Jay. Don't worry though. I took care of it." "How?" "Don't worry about it where is your mom?" "We will go get her." Said Azura and Onyx. "Ok thanks guys. I just love my family. I don't know what I would do without any of them. Oh yeah are the guys still here?" "No they went home but they talked to your father and the boss of them talked to our family with me involved too." Said Jay. "Oh did he tell you then about your father?" "Yeah. I can't believe dad would do that. Why the hell did he attack those people?" "Ha. I guess we will never know." "Who knows. He might end up being one of the spirits that didn't cross over." "In a way that would be scary. In another way I hope he didn't. So we can talk to him one last time." "I haven't seen him yet so you are all good."

The next few days my stitches finally dissolved and my stomach was only tender. I called Kyle over to do my hair. He gave me a catalogue to look. Then I found two I liked. I found 2 styles of pixie cuts. "Hey Kyle. I can't choose. I like the pixie cut but can't decide if I want the shorter or longer bangs." "How about I surprise you?" "Thanks you're the best." I closed my eyes until he was finally done.

"Ok you can open them now." "Oh wow. I look good. Thanks Kyle." "Is my job to make people look good. I'm glad you like it." "It was a pixie cut with medium long bangs. "Now be careful and enjoy your new hair do. I'm off to make someone else look wonderful." "Oh thank you Kyle." "No problem princess." I moved just a little bit and my stomach hurt. Its still a quite tender. I can take the pain.

I decided to try to get dressed and head out to get some fresh air but someone came in and brought a wheelchair for me. "Oh Jay. How did you know?" "Well I know you too well. I though you might be getting bored and still be in pain so I would push in the wheelchair for a bit until you are better." "Thanks. Oh and is your family moving back home?" "Well mom might. She feels mor comfortable there. After all since she married dad she has lived there a long time. Its her home. So what about the younger ones? Are they staying here or moving back in with mom?" "Well they really want to stay and be pampered but mom told them to come with until they were at least 18. Of course they were bummed but they said they would listen. As for my other sister she found a place in the village to live. She even found a job. Not only that she recently got a boyfriend." "Oh really? Good for her. What is his name? I might know him." "Its Ace. He is the same age as her." "Oh yeah I know him. I always thought of him as a little brother type. Even though they are a few years younger than me. What did she find for work?" "Oh you know how she likes to do her drawings right?" "Yeah." "Well people pay for her to draw stuff for them. She even paints when needed. Your father even said he would call her up from time to time to draw or paint something for them."

We were finally outside in the fresh air. "Hey can we go to the forest. My forest. I want to call for Elsa." "Sure I will roll you there."

Once we got there I whistled for Elsa and she came flying down. I just moved the wrong way and felt a pain in my stomach. "Easy now. Don't move so much. You still seem a little tender." Said Jay. "I'll be fine." "Hey Elsa. Glad to see your ok. I was so worried about you." She came over the me and I hugged her. "I was worried about you. You were more hurt than I was. It was only my wing I would have survived. You were hurt in a vital spot you could have died." "I know. I'm just a little tender at the moment I'm fine." "By the way. Did you get your hair cut?" "Oh yeah my hair was getting in the way when I got hurt so I had Kyle cut it. I wasn't' sure if I liked the long or short so the did the medium bangs." "Well it looks different. In a good way. Although I prefer you with long hair short hair isn't so bad. Since you put it that way that it gets in your way." "Yeah." "Oh the animals have been waiting for your return they missed you. Also you should go see Fawn. She has been waiting a long time. She has been bored out of her mind." "OK lets go see her. I'll see you later Elsa." "Ok Princess." Then he wheeled me to Fawns.

Jay knocked on the door (Knock Knock) Fawn opened the door. "Oh hey. Its about time you showed up. Why are you in a wheelchair? Are you ok?" "Yeah I will be. I was shot by an arrow a few days ago. I'm quite tender." "You were shot by an arrow? Where?" "In my stomach. It went all the way through I guess. Everyone was saying I was lucky to be alive." "That bad huh?" "Yeah oh and we found out who has been poisoning me and they are in the dungeon now." "Oh who was it?" "Well uncle Thanto's hired a knight to poison my food at my party. He was jealous of my gifts I was told." "I see. That would make since. Jealousy can make people do dumb things. By the way. Love the new haircut." "Oh thanks. I had Kyle do it." "Kyle? You mean THE Kyle?" "Yeah." "Oh My gosh. He is like the hottest hairstylist out there right now. He's good looking too. Maybe too good looking." "Haha I think so someone has a crush on him." "Who wouldn't." "Um me. I agree he is sort of unique but not my type. Indeed he is good looking but not as good looking as my fiancé here." "Oh Sorry Jay. We were just talking." "I know. Its fine. Should I leave and have you girls have some girl time?" "Thanks Jay. Sorry." "Its all good. Fawn make sure she gets home ok." "Yes of course." "Good." Then he left.

So I spend time with my friend which seemed like ages. "Oh I have been wanting to ask this a long time but when are you two getting married?" "I know you just had your ball and all but I can't wait until I see you in a wedding dress." Said Fawn. "Well we don't know yet. I was going to talk to my father and Jay about it. Oh I forgot to tell you that Elsa was shot down too. She just hurt her wing though. I was told when I woke up that her wing had been better two days ago. I can't believe I was out for 4 days. That's never happened before. Even after I kept getting hurt in training." "Well it was in a vital spot. You could have died. Talia." "Oh yeah. Can the healers heal my wound that is tender?" "Well I am a healer too. If I can't heal it they won't be able to. That would be something simple. You have to lay on my bed for me to do it though." "OK sure." WE parked the wheelchair somewhere and she helped me to her bed. She saw me in pain and didn't like it. "Are you ok?" "Yeah I'll be fine. It still hurts." "Ok now lift up your shirt." I lifted it up and I saw fawn with a wide face. "That bad huh?" "You are really lucky to be alive that is a major vital point. Ok now stay still while I try this." "OK." I stayed still as much as I could and waited for her to see if she could help.

After about 20 minutes she was done. "Ok done. How does that feel?" I tried getting up and flinched expecting pain but none came. "Hey I feel fine now thanks. Are you ok? Did that take a lot out of you? Sorry." "Its ok. I am slightly tired. Its longer than I usually do it. I need more practice." "Ok. Well I better get going or everyone will be worried about me." "OK are you sure your fine enough to go back yourself?" "Yeah you healed me I feel right as rain now." "Ok still be careful." "I will thanks."

I pushed the wheelchair back home. The door guards were shocked I was already standing. Maybe shocked about my hair I don't know. "Hello guys. What seems to be the shock?" "Oh well you were in pain when you left and you are ok now?" "Oh yeah I had my friend heal me. She is that elf Fawn." "Oh well that is good. By the way nice haircut." "Oh thank you." "Kyle did a nice job." "He sure did." "Ok see you guys later. I gotta go inside." "See you princess." So I went inside where my whole family was staring at me like something was wrong. "What happened?" "Come with us to the parlor Talia." Said Jay. "OK sure." Now I was starting to worry. A butler took the wheelchair and I followed my father and the others.

I sat down like the others did. "You just saw your friend Fawn right?" "Yes did something happen to her? Please tell me she's not dead. Please." "I'm sorry. We are so sorry." Said Lycan. "No it can't be. I just saw her. Was it because she healed me? Did she die because she overdid herself?" "Its true she died from using her power but it wasn't when she healed you. After she saw you she was happily skipping back to work to practice some more so she can heal more serious wounds. She had passed out at first but then she stopped breathing." Said Jay. "No. NO. Excuse me but I have to leave for a bit. I'm not going to my forest but the forest to leave here. Nobody follow me. I will be fine."
