Prologue

Ohio, Cleveland. Officially the City of Cleveland, is a city in the U.S. state of Ohio. Located in the northeastern part of the state, it is situated along the southern shore of Lake Erie.

Designated as a global city by the Globalization and World Cities Research Network (GaWC), Cleveland is home to several major cultural institutions.

Three industries dominate employment in Greater Cleveland, employing the most people in the seven counties of Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage, and Summit.

The healthcare, manufacturing, and retail sectors are the top three sectors in each county.

A/N : Until now this was some legit info about the city and employment rates. But from next paragraph fantasy starts. Well there's nothing normal in Ohio though. }

There were three succesful businessmen families in Cleveland. The Paiyne, Gilbert and Clarent respectively.

The Paiyne family whose business focused on healthcare sector. As it's family head James Ed Paiyne was a former war veteran. He was honored by being granted the brevet rank of general.

To recuperate he came Cleveland and to think about his future. Then he began his business career by Launching Paiyne and Co Medical College, The largest Medical education institution in the city.

It got developed progressively now making it the Largest medical institution in the whole state of Ohio. While James had one son and daughter Jessie and Joy respectively both being 18 years old.

The Gilbert family focused on manufacturing from aeroplane parts to medicine. The family head was Phil Dick Gilbert, his company Gil, Phil & Co is one of the largest Manufacturing Industry in the state. Phil had two sons Tod and Gary both 16 and 17 years respectively.

Then the most controversial businessman family, The Clarent Family. As it controlled the whole finance of Ohio.

They had partnership with all local gangs and mafia, gaining control over all drug cartels, clubs and casinos.

The family head Veron Snyder Clarent was single father with twin daughters. Angelina and Caroline respectively.

As Clarent family didn't have any male heirs it always had to stay on pressure at past. There were even many assassination attempts on him and his newborn daughters. He was a faithful husband, he didn't wanted to marry another woman in this life, so he was forced to start business with mafia.

Which benifit him later as his profit increased. With protection and profit he didn't care about reputation, now he had 50% of the Ohio underworld. The mafia organisation had grown and now was called Sinister.

The Sinister had 40% of Ohio underworld authority as Clarent were there boss. The rest 10% were all remaining dreg gangs.

The head of Sinister was Jack the Ripper A.K.A Tokiomi Tsukasa a half Japa-American

immigrant who settled in Ohio. At beginning he was a just a ragtag street fighter but soon he started accumulating members who were attracted to his cause.

He has one adopted son, Merlin 17 years old. He was trained to become a personal bodyguard of Clarent family hiers. From childhood he has been living in Clarent family to learn the way of butlership. His information was only known between Veron and Tokiomi as everyone would Target their kids.

Now every heirs of businessmen, artists, athletes or other famous personalities are admitted in prestigious Axis University.

The university was made by the collaboration of Paiyne, Gilbert and Clarent family respectively.

Merlin was checking his watch. He was waiting for Angelina and Caroline for their regular day in Axis University. Beside him was a matte Camaro parked. He would drive them to University parking it before joining them in class later.

"Sigh* how much time they take to dress up." He grumbled as he caressed his head.

"Angie! Carol! Are you both ready!" His patience broke and he called them.

"Merlin wa-wait just wait 5 mins. I promise we are just on our last step." A high pitched voice came from other side of call. It was of Angie.

"Yah Merlin! Just wait 5 mi- HoooooH*." Carol's voice came but was dimmed by hair dryer noise.

Merlin sighed and waited, he opened Car's door and sat in driver seat. Closed all the windows then started the AC, which would make inside cool. He didn't have any work so he started listening music.

"Oh, hey Sally. Did you came to play." Merlin said after he felt some hair brushing behind his neck. He looked back to find the apparition had already hid.

From Childhood Merlin was able to see and feel spirits. After researching it a lot he found out that he had become a 'Medium'. A person who could mediate communication between familiar spirits or spirits of the dead and living human beings.

"If you don't want to play, don't disturb madam right. Anyways did you made some friends...... Oh, new friends where.... New York! What's her name.... April, She has a nice name, say hi for me okay.... Oh your energy is on low these days..... I told you not to use portals right.... Now you're grounded " Merlin said looking at Car's backseat through mirror. He was talking to her when a knock came from outside of car.

Merlin stopped talking and looked out to find Angie and Carol had already arrived.

He opened the Door locks, when both of them entered and sat on backseats. He checked his watch to find they were now 1 hour late.

" So, what took you so much time? " He asked while starting the Car and looked at mirror to find Angie was now sitting on Sally.

"Humph* you wouldn't even understand!" Carol pouted, they were friends from childhood and this dense mf still doesn't get it.

"Mah mah, Carol-chan give some slack to him. We were busy in making a new hairstyle as both should have same hairstyle. We couldn't decide which to choose." Angie replied while patting Carol then looked at Merlin l.

"Humph* you should be grateful, for being given the responsibility of waiting." Carol said while hiding her face.

"Waah, my little Carol has changed. At past she would always come to me and get dotted from me. Hey god please send me to past." Merlin exaggerated by crying and then prayed for his wishes.

"You-you Humph* At past I didn't came towards to be d-dotted, I was just got lost in mansion." She said while hiding her face behind Angie.

"~Ara, if you will not be honest with yourself. I might put my hand on Merlin huhuhu~" Angie said at very low voice in Carol's ear.

"Noooooo! Never! " Carol yelled and shown her tiger teeth, ready to bite.

Then both blonde started fighting. This was regular drama. Merlin didn't know why they would fight so much.

After driving 15mins, they reached University premises. He stopped the car at parking stop. Everyone got out with their locker keys.

"Merlin who were you talking earlier?" Angie asked as she him talking earlier.

"Ohh, she is Sally a spirit, you were sitting on her at back seat." He said casually.

"You, why didn't you told me?!" She freaked out and grabbed Carol palm tight.

"Well, I was driving. If you had freaked out a that time, we might not be able to reach school and be on hospital bed." He replied back.

"So, so how does she looked? Like the Demon you saw last year in that woods!?" Carol asked excitedly as she was very interested in ghost stories.

"Well, she seem normal this time. I guess no one's controlling her. Her face wasn't clearly visible but there was huge axe stuck on her neck."

"Wow! Cool! Did you asked her story?! Where's she now?" Carol asked again.

"Nah, she didn't tell me yet but she's behind you trying to choke your neck." He replied.

"Whaaasat!" Angie freaked out and climbed on Merlin's back. " Woaah! Don't worry she doesn't have energy now, must have used up all in making a new connection with a portal." He replied back while grabbing her hand warming it up.

"You should have said this earlier, hum." Angie said before biting Merlin's ear.

"Ouch Ouch Ouch Ouch !" Merlin finally put her down and they reached their Class- XI(C)
