Blood Traitors

Her gaze lingered on his freckled face from across the great hall, her eyes tracing across every feature of his face, from the upturned corners of his devious grin to the small silvery scar that ran through his eyebrow. Sighing and aimlessly stirring her porridge, the metal clinking on the ceramic bowl as she allowed her mind to get engulfed by the prior night when those callused hands had been exploring every inch of her body...

Buttoning back up her shirt Bella opened her mouth to approach the subject she had been scared to ask for the past hour.

"You can't tell people that this ever happened," she said breathily, still recovering, her legs trembling as she went to pull her jumper over her head.

George chuckled, "You think my family would take this any better than yours?"

Agreeing silently Bella turned to leave, "So tutoring tomorrow?" she asked, her stormy eyes drawing him in, luring him in for another lustful kiss.

"Mhm," George mumbled, his hands creeping under her blouse to which she swatted him away.

"This is not a regular thing," she scolded, melting a little as he massaged her hair, tracing circles on her scalp.

"Believe what you want love."

After dinner Bella immediately flopped down onto her bed, having eaten mountains of pie she was stuffed and wanted nothing more than a steaming hot shower.

Dropping her clothes to the floor she glanced in the mirror for a second and smiled to herself when she saw the lovebites scattered across her body.

Adrien used to give her hickeys, all over her collar. Her father saw one once and threw a fit, slapping her right across the face for engaging in such activities but she didn't care, they made her feel loved.

Adrien learned how to braid hair so he could do her hair as he knew she couldn't weave her own.

Adrien gave the best hugs when she was feeling down, he even once baked her chocolate chip cookies after they got into an argument.

But of course, Adrien also had anger issues and often lashed out at her, he cheated twice and never took the blame for it, knowing she would probably brush over it and take him back all the same.

Sinking to her haunches she started to cry for the first time since that unfortunate night, scalding water pouring over her as she sat on the floor of the shower.

Who was she to hook up with someone when she had been in Adrien's arms a week prior.

She hadn't done much hurting and had just buried it down but it was getting to her, weighing her down like there were stones in her stomach.

Sure Bella was sad but most of all she was guilty, guilty that she was doing these things. Even though she was broken up with Adrien she felt she was just as bad as him for moving on this quickly.

Maybe she just needed to talk to him, for closure, of course.

Bella crept into the Slytherin common room, scanning her eyes over the dark decorations until she saw Adrien, writing an essay for Potions.

A sudden nervousness overcame her she wondered if she should turn around and leave but thought better of it.

Adrien glanced up from his parchment and felt relief rush over him when he saw his girl in front of him.

Her blonde hair was hanging down to her waist just like always and was tucked behind her ears, displaying the emerald earrings he had gotten her for her fifteenth birthday.

Her lips were clamped together, not sure of what to say as she eyed him down.

"Sit."

Adrien broke the silence, patting the spot next to him, treading cautiously with her as he knew how much he had hurt her.

"Belle, I'm so sorry," he blurted out, taking her hands in his own apologetically, flinching slightly when she drew them away and back to her lap.

"I miss you," she said softly, allowing herself to be vulnerable with him just like so many times before where she had let her guard down and had gotten hurt but she didn't care.

"I miss you too," he said, taking her face into his hands and pressing a kiss to her forehead, "So much, you have no idea."

Bella's stomach churned and she drew away swiftly, standing up immediately.

"But that doesn't take away from what you've done," she said, blinking back tears from her suddenly glossy eyes.

"I trusted you, Adrien, I gave you a second chance and you blew that as well," she said, her voice wobbly and broken, "So this is me ending it, officially, I'm sorry."
