Kidnapped

To Laven's surprise, the dangerous looking man fell on his back. He seemed shocked, but Laven couldn't understand his action.

One thing was sure, he still gripped his weapons tightly. He had a strong build as well.

That made Laven freak out more. He assumed that the man might be a psychopath, might be.

Laven panicked. Someone broke into his house and he was sure about that. The weapons in the man's hands made Laven feel dreadful.

He had watched gruesome thriller movies, and the assassin with a hammer or knife weren't the types to pamper their victims in a scary way or tell 'peek-a-boo' and let them go. They were normally merciless. Images of the victims being injured badly and killed by a human monster started to flood his mind.

He couldn't charge towards him to save his aunt, it was too risky. He thought that his aunt might be tied up on a chair or something because her voice clearly came from downstairs.

It was highly unlikely for him to win a fight against the intruder. Agitation started to build in him.

He needed to get help, fast. He looked around, hoping his eyes would land on something useful.

The window.

Well, the door was blocked. So, he basically had no other option. It was either fight or flight.

He chose flight.

He abandoned his shirt on the bed and bolted as fast as lightning to the window.

He shouted as loud as he could, "Aunt, I'll come and save you!"

Then, without thinking twice, he jumped down.

"I believe I can fly....or turn into a bird for a few seconds!" he exclaimed, hoping he could build up his confidence at least by one percent.

"LAVEN!" he heard his aunt's voice again. This time, it sounded near. It sounded like she was in his room.

However, it was too late.

Laven had already jumped off, diving into the swimming pool. The impact from his body hitting the water at high speed made a lot of water splash out in all directions.

Aunt Shelly screamed again, "LAVEN!"

Laven tried to gasp for air. He didn't know how to swim. He could feel water rushing into his nose and mouth, he was literally drowning.

'I must save Aunt Shelly!' that was the only thought going through his mind.

His legs were lifted in a squatting position, his hands swinging wildly by his sides. That was the most terrible method of swimming in the whole wide world. He looked like he was performing some kind of 'duck dance' in water.

Laven was starting to feel worn out but forced himself to stay afloat by using the new swimming method he had just invented. He needs to stay afloat to be alive, though his hope was starting to decrease little by little.

"I hate water!" he shouted his grudge out. He was about to cry.

"Was that your 'nephew' ???" the man remained on the floor. His name was Gerald, the secretary of Millennium Trades Empire's director, Shelly Attel.

"What happened?" Aunt Shelly questioned him back. "What did you do to Laven?" she questioned again, furious. "I'm sorry, madam. I didn't do anything. I came in and was surprised to see a shirtless man but his face, it looked horrifying ..... I don't know how to explain it. I was confused whether that was really your nephew, or maybe I had entered the wrong room. I fell down, unable to hold back my shock. I...uhm....I," it looked like he still couldn't believe his eyes. Aunt Shelly ran towards the window, and found Laven struggling to swim in the swimming pool. Gerald got up, and ran up to her. He looked at where she was looking and immediately looked away. Laven was in a weird swimming stance.

"Laven, you are tall enough to stand in the swimming pool!" she shouted out loud, making sure he was able to hear her.

Her worry was replaced with relief. Just a few seconds ago, she felt like she was going to faint out of fear. Gerald remained silent, he was still shocked.

'What?' Laven thought after hearing his aunt. He relaxed his body and straightened his legs. He was able to stand, the water was about his shoulder level. He was embarrassed. If there were any people passing by, they would have used that chance to take a video of him and upload it on any of their social media accounts.

It would have gone viral.

'Aunt Shelly!'

He got out of the water, looking up. The man was standing beside his aunt, who looked calm. "I'm coming to save you!" he shouted and opened his steps to start running. His pants were soaked and heavy, it started to slide down, revealing a bit of his light green boxers.

"Laven, your..."

His pants slid down.

Gerald screeched, falling down again. This time, he fainted.

Laven's face turned red.

"Laven, you don't have to save me. I'm perfectly fine. What has gotten into you?" Aunt Shelly crossed her arms.

Laven, stood there for a while, confused. He didn't understand what was going on.

"Get changed right now, boy," Aunt Shelly ordered. She was worried that he might catch a cold. She turned to the side, noticing that Gerald went missing. She got shocked when she saw Gerald lying on the floor, motionless.

Laven ran up the stairs, and went into the room. The man was lying on the bed, Aunt Shelly was sitting on the bean bag, but he ignored them. He was totally wet, and shy of his current situation.

On the other hand, Aunt Shelly herself got shocked of her nephew's face.

"What did you do to your face. You don't look like a human, it's hideous!" Aunt Shelly too was frightened by him.

He grabbed his clothes and entered the bathroom. He did hear what his aunt mentioned about his face. He applied dots of foundation with spots of other colourful materials on his face, they usually give off a mild golden rosy tan to the face. He already wore the first layer of lipstick and a light layer of eyeshadow beforehand. He didn't have enough time to spread it evenly all over his face, and accidentally smeared some over at the wrong place.

He, stood there for a while before deciding to look at the mirror. His heart skipped a beat, of terror. He didn't know how he looked before, but after diving into the swimming pool, it was on a whole other level of horror.

'No wonder the guy fell on the floor, he freaked out,' he thought.

He took a quick bath.

Aunt Shelly looked at Laven and the man alternately. Laven's confusion was now about the man's identity.

After a few minutes, the man suddenly gained consciousness. He slowly opened his eyes, squinting them while looking straight up. Then, he looked around until he saw Laven, and fixed his gaze on him.

"Who are you?" the two of them asked in unison.

Then, the three of them remained silent.

"He's Gerald, my secretary," Aunt Shelly spoke.

"He's Laven, my nephew... I believe I've told you that numerous times" she continued, this time, looking at Gerald.

Aunt Shelly began explaining everything in detail. Gerald actually came over to deliver a parcel that Laven's parents had kept for him. Now that they weren't around, it was his duty to make sure it safely reaches the owner. All of this was already planned earlier.

His parents had already planned for anything that might take place in the future, they were always well prepared.

The thing that was weird about this parcel was that it came with a letter. According to Gerald, Laven can only open the box after reading the letter. Even Aunt Shelly had no ideas on what it consisted of.

"Why now?" millions of questions were running through Laven's mind but he decided to ask only one first.

"Because you are going to turn 15 soon. This parcel can only be given to you once you are 14. Sorry, I'm actually late. I should have given it to you earlier but.... I was kinda busy especially after your late parents' case. Luckily, I remembered it while sipping my cappuccino that day," Gerald gave a long explanation.

"Ok, and why were you holding a hammer and a knife just now?"

Cloey was frustratedly walking along the road, she couldn't believe what she had done.

"I invited everyone and forgot about the most important one!" she whined.

She was holding a piece of tissue, which she crumpled with fury in her hand. Her mistake has caused her to walk along the road alone, something she didn't rarely did. Eventually, Cloey got tired of abusing the tissue in her hand. She threw it away, somewhere near the bushes. As she was nearing the shop lots, she heard loud footsteps from behind. It was someone with a hood and face mask, one that didn't cover the eye area. The person wore thick eyeliner, a very thick layer that seemed peculiar.

She looked behind and immediately started feeling uneasy. The glare the person gave was aimed at her and it certainly didn't look friendly. She walked faster.

She started to get alarmed when she noticed the footsteps too got louder, trying to catch up with her.

Cloey started running. She turned around the corner and went to the house she knew. Danial was her only hope.

She pressed the doorbell multiple times. Now, she was panicking. The person managed to catch up with her, only a few steps away from her.

She lost hope, and turned the other side and decided to sprint. However, someone pulled her hair backwards hardly.

"AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!" she was in immense pain but the person pulled harder and started to drag her.

The door opened.

Danial was already dressed and knew that it must have been Cloey who rang the bell. He also heard some strange sounds, it sounded like a cat got frightened and started scratching the door , but it quickly ended.

However, no one was standing there. It surprised him. He then scrutinized the surrounding area, but there was not even a single trace of human there.

"Who rang the bell?"
