Chapter 1

You dear soul, are but part of one of infinite dimensions. You see, far off in the multiverse is a realm, with people, not unlike you and I. These beings look almost human, but are covered in patches of scales, with scraggly hair along their scalps, with eyes that resemble those of a goat's, and skin markings unique to each of their own tribes or races as one would call it in your species; each tribe being masters of one of four of the elements. The land was divided into large sections, each for the elemental tribes: Earth, Wind, Water, and Fire. And at their center, a grand castle and its surrounding village of servitude and protection. The small medieval town and its surrounding wall mainly housed the King's Guard and the wealthy of the land. But the King, known only as Spiroar, elemental master, and Grand Magus of the legendary Knights Eternal, ruled over all the shire. The royal bloodline contained within it the secrets to the origins of all the elements in the universe (or so they thought). The highborns bore at birth, tattoo-like skin markings of the royal bloodline. It appears often on the chest, as a spectral colored pentagram with a mystical swirl going through it.

For many years, Master King Spiroar had ruled, and the lands were prosperous, and his Queen, Altria, bore him a remarkable male heir of great stature, that was highly coveted. He was a dark purple, as was the royal skin color, accompanied by long black hair with orange flecks throughout it. They proudly named him Prince Lucorrian.

Little did the Queen know, only days later on the eve of the summer solstice, would the King's mistress also bear him a bastard son in secret. They named the child Lucian, and though he contained royal blood and bore the sigil, he was half peasant. To the shock of the King, Lucian was born albino, containing none of the tribal colors of green, red, blue, gold, or the royal purple. He had pale pink eyes and an unusual long blond mohawk with patches of a faded lavender color, the only thing of color signaling his origins. Yet he, like other albinos before him, was marked with every element's symbol on his fresh baby skinned back; his scales were translucent and unnaturally shimmered as if they contained the essence of the elemental entities themselves; the Gods.

For nearly two centuries these abnormal "creatures" have been feared by the ruling class. The royals were gifted the honor to be able to study and retain elemental techniques or "bending" from all of the tribes, they were able to master the arts. But these albinos were born with such gifts, the elements of ancient times were in their blood; not just the main four either, but all of those to have ever existed, they needed only awaken it within. They had the potential natural ability to overthrow the Kingdom, and Master King Spiroar knew it well just like those before him. The servant pleaded with him for mercy, but Spiroar could not do it, nor did he have the heart to kill the boy. He gave her a choice, to stay there in the castle and remain with her duties as governess, or be sent away with young Lucian. If only to secretly take revenge on him, she abhorrently agreed to stay, while Lucian was exiled. For what the King didn't know, he hurt the wrong woman, she was an enchantress. Within a fortnight of him sending away their son, the curse she had set, started to take hold in her master.

Lucian had been sent to the South, where all other albinos by law were sent, as well as a few handfuls of misfits, outcasts, and the no-tribes, people that were shunned and exiled from their birth tribes. Any of them outside of the Island of Carlyle in the South were often either hunted by their own people or by the crown, and were rejected by the other tribes, branded with an iron of betrayal, an X over their birth marked tribe symbol.
