Chapter 10: The Blade of the Damned

With his upgraded attributes and newfound resolve, Alex Mercer continued his exploration of the Castle of the Damned. The eerie halls seemed to stretch on endlessly, and every corner held the promise of danger and discovery. 

As he ventured deeper into the castle's dark heart, he stumbled upon a hidden chamber, its walls adorned with ominous tapestries and flickering torches. In the center of the room, resting on a stone pedestal, was a weapon that caught his eye—a massive sword with an obsidian blade. 

Approaching cautiously, he recognized it as the "Blade of the Damned," a weapon that seemed to pulse with malevolent energy. Its edge gleamed with an unnatural sheen, and he could feel its power calling out to him. 

Without hesitation, Alex reached for the Blade of the Damned and claimed it as his own. As he did, he could sense a surge of dark power coursing through him, as if the sword and he were bound by some sinister pact. 

Armed with his newfound weapon, he pressed on, drawn by a sense of foreboding toward a grandiose double door. As he entered the room, a chilling mist enveloped the entrance behind him, sealing him within. 

A sinister, echoing laugh filled the chamber, and the shadows seemed to writhe with malevolence. Emerging from the darkness before him was a figure—a tall, imposing figure clad in dark armor, with eyes that glinted like red-hot embers. 

It was the King of the Damned, a boss of this forsaken realm. His presence exuded an aura of dread, and he wielded a wicked, blackened scepter. 

Alex knew that this encounter was unlike any he had faced before. The King of the Damned was a formidable adversary, and his intentions were undoubtedly malevolent. 

With the Blade of the Damned gripped tightly in his hand, Alex Mercer readied himself for battle. The fate of the Elden Realm hung in the balance, and he was its only hope against this malevolent monarch. 

The battle between man and king, light and darkness, had begun, and the outcome remained uncertain. But Alex was determined to face this challenge head-on, for he had come too far to turn back now. The echoes of the Elden Realm resonated with the clash of blades, and the true test of his strength had begun.

Special Ability: Cursed Blade - Has a chance to inflict a curse upon enemies, reducing their attack and defense for a short duration. 

Description: A malevolent sword forged in the darkest depths of the Elden Realm. Its obsidian blade hungers for the souls of the damned, and its cursed power can bring even the mightiest foes to their knees.
