BLOOD CITY: Vampires' Dwelling

Claire was KCPD homicide detective at Kibich central precinct. She was engaged to Adams, a mythology professor at Kibich University. Their life together was perfect until one fateful morning. Detective Claire woke to a phone call that notified her of her father’s mysterious death. She called her mother; they had separated with the father, to let her know of the news. In the confusion of her father’s death, across the street from the scene, she saw a man watching. She went to confront him but he was long gone when she got there. Before she could go back to the crime scene, she received a call from her mother with a question of whether ‘Vivienda de Vampiros’ meant anything to her. Without a clue, her mother apologized to her and promised to let her know more about her family history, who she really was and, BLOOD CITY. Later, her mother explained to her that she was born in a vampire hunter’s family. She was meant to be a vampire hunter. From that moment on, her life took a much-unexpected turn to the worst. She took her time to study more about vampires. As she was busy hunting her father’s killer, she crossed paths with Daniel, a vampire that, against all odds was protecting her and her family. The unfolding of events led to her having feelings for the Vampire. This became a wedge between her and Adams. Later Adams was manipulated by Catherine in the name of love to get close to Claire but was finally turned which led to his death. Later, she was able to defeat and kill Thomas and Catherine with the help of her mother and Daniel. In the end, Claire and Daniel married and lived happily ever after.

Chapter 7

At the Kibich Central Teaching and Referral Hospital (KCTRH), Kate, a surgical doctor and Daniel’s acquaintance was coming out of a three-hour surgery. Before going to the changing room to get out of her surgical attire, she rushed to her office and locked the door behind her.

She quickly unlocked a lower drawer on the left side of her desk. She then took out a blood bag and helped herself to gratification. As a vampire, working at the hospital as a surgeon, always exposed to blood and, keeping her secret was no easy task.

An empty blood bag later, she was fully quenched. She walked out to the changing room and got into her normal attire. Her day’s shift was over. As she was going back to her office to get her effects, Jason, an intelligent handsome medical doctor approached.

He stood right in front of her, “Today you have no excuse for turning down my proposal. It’s early enough,” he said as he handed a rose paper-fold to her.

She picked the rose and walked a few steps past him, “what proposal are you talking about doctor? I recall no such thing,” she asked with a smile.

He followed behind, “me…you…and the stars. Out for dinner at Tronic hotel. Give me the chance to show you how beautiful, special and loved you are. One night is all I ask of you.”

She stopped outside her office door looking at him, “is that how you think of me, a one-night-stand escort!” Kate asked derisively.

“That’s not what I meant, of course not. You are special and deserve more. Believe me, that’s what I desire to show and give you, beautiful princess.”

She made a step closer to him, “very well, if you really love me and pledge to do as you say, you will assent me to think about it doctor.”

He reached forward to kiss her on the cheek, “take your time princess, I take your word for it. I will be expecting your call…soon,” he winked an eye as he walked away backwards facing her with his both hands pocketed.

With a smile on her face, “I said… think about it. I give no promises,” she said as she swiped her card to open the office door as she looked at him.

He placed his hand against his cheek in a manner suggesting a phone call as he turned away. She picked her peripherals and made a phone call as she walked out.

“I hope you have my tidbits ready for pick up. I am leaving the hospital now, see you in ten, thank you,” she said as she locked her office and left the hospital.

About twenty minutes later, she was at their lair. Daniel was inside reading some vampire novel. She went straight to the fridge to unload the bag she was carrying. Daniel stopped reading, stood up and walked towards her.

He turned the book to look at the cover, “can you believe how much information humans know about us? I never thought this much,” he conjectured.

She paused to look at him, “times are changing Daniel, and, I think you should worry more about the day he starts asking questions about the much blood supply.”

He closed the book and placed it on the table, “it’s your job to make sure he, your ‘boyfriend’, doesn’t find out. You got good skills… Honestly, I don’t know what will hurt him more, you playing him for blood or, you as a vampire.”

She finished unpacking the blood bags and shut the fridge, “let me worry about that. Talking of which, how is it going with you and the detective? What does she know?” she queried handing him a blood bag.

He picked the bag and an empty glass, “I am still working on it. I think she may have seen me at the scene. She might be suspecting something too,” he said as he poured blood into the glass.

As she sat on the couch, “what else did you expect? She is a detective, a very good one at that, and above all, a vampire hunter. Do you think she knows what killed her father?”

He sat facing her, “by now, I think she knows. Her mother is frequenting the precinct since the incident. I am certain she knows who she really is as well.”

“What about Thomas, what do you think we should do?” she asked.

He placed the glass on the table, “what I should have done years ago, kill and incinerate him and those of his kind. They are a threat to the survival of our species. A cancer that needs to be rooted out. We can’t have more humans asking questions and knowing more than they already do about us.”

“What about before then, and, how may I be of help?” Kate asked.

He stood from the couch, “keep the detective and her family close. Thomas and his crew are just starting. As for you,” he walked towards her, “I want you to be a good doctor, gather any information you can and, keep the fridge bursting.”

He stretched out his hand to hold hers. He then pulled her closer to him and locked his hands on her back. She placed her hands on his shoulders and looked straight into his eyes.

“Should I need to remind you that I have a boyfriend,” she asked.

As he reached to kiss her, “I will be sure to give him a thank you note and, I promise to remember his good deeds,” he touched his lips on hers softly.

“I think it is time for you to stop talking now.”

She responded in kind without more words. Slowly, she lifted her hands onto the back of his head and held tight. He unlocked his hands and slowly, lifted her dress out. He then ran his fingers softly along her soft slender beautiful body. She dropped her hands slowly and took off his shirt followed by the khakis.

Leisurely, she stroked his body softly as they slowly dropped onto the soft spongy couch her first. They took several minutes embracing each other until; they got rid of every piece of fabric covering their skin. From head, he slowly and softly kissed her downwards.

She moved rhythmically in response to his magical touch and kisses. They made the best out of the moment taking turns and eventually, they crowned it all with a sensational copulation.
