“Quincey stop!!” Luci hugged me from behind frantically to stop me, “Humans can’t take magic this strong!!” He head butted my back, “Idiot! What if someone dies?” His words made me freeze and he loosened up, “What if Nena dies?” He moved to look at my face that was filled with horror.

My chest tightened and my brain went blank for a moment.

No!!

I looked at Nena who was unconscious on the floor.

Oh hell…

I ran to her, “Hey,” I embraced her in my arms, “Hey wake up,” I shook her a little but she was blacked out. Luci came and sat beside me, “Nena…?” I felt like my world was falling apart, “Nena, are you okay?” There was no response. Her body seemed lifeless with no reaction at all.

Shit…

Oh shit!!

“Nena!” I check her temperature but my body is already cold. I couldn’t tell if she was okay like that or not because to me, a fresh corpse is warm too.
