Katie’s POV
“Olivia, I don’t want to see the study. I want to go home.” I fought against my best friend.
She had insisted that there was something I needed to see in the study, something about a piece of art, but I had insisted I had seen enough, especially after that insane public display that Arrow partook in. I agreed to stay after she told me that this wasn’t a work event. I had agreed to meet up with Angel, Arrow’s cousin, but I drew the line at engagement parties for my ex-boyfriend.
Angel had tried to explain to me that this wasn’t truly a willing engagement. He told me to wait for Arrow to explain. But everything had happened so quickly that I couldn’t process it. And then there was Arrow, who indeed did look so handsome in a tuxedo, standing on the top of the archway with a redheaded supermodel, sucking face smiling like the world's happiest couple. There was nothing in the world that could make that make sense.
