When Song Jia woke up, she saw that she was back in the mansion, lying down on Lin Yitian's king-sized bed. She tried to stand up, but her whole body was sore. It was as if a truck had ran her over.
The door opened, and Lin Yitian came in. He was carrying a tray filled with food. When he saw that Song Jia was already awake, a smile instantly lit up his face.
"Jia!"
Song Jia had only managed to sit up when a hug tackled her, pinning her back to the bed. Lin Yitian's lips brushed hers in a light kiss before his hands cupped her face.
"How do you feel? Do you hurt anywhere?" he asked anxiously.
He had already contacted a doctor and applied ointment all over her body, but he was still worried. After all, it was her first time and he had gotten overexcited. Lin Yitian had blamed himself when he inspected Song Jia's body after they got home from the hospital.
Song Jia pushed him away from her. "Yitian, I'm fine."
It was his hug that was suffocating her.
Lin Yitian allowed Song Jia to push him but before she could get away, he pulled her into his lap as he leaned his back against the headboard. He grabbed a glass of water and offered it to her.
"Are you thirsty?"
Song Jia's throat was indeed dry. After she sipped a little water, she looked up only to find Lin Yitian holding a bowl of soup. He was already holding the spoon in front of her.
"Jia, are you hungry?"
Song Jia, "..."
Why did he transform into her personal servant?
She tried to get out of his lap. "Yitian, I'm not a child. I can feed myself."
Lin Yitian's expression fell, but he let her get out of his arms and sit down on the edge of the bed. Song Jia wasn't confident that she could stand on her own, so she ate her meal by the bed.
After eating a spoonful, Song Jia frowned. Although it was delicious, she felt that the taste of the food had somehow changed.
Lin Yitian immediately said, "How is it? Is it delicious?"
Song Jia looked at him. "Did you cook for me?"
Lin Yitian felt nervous. "Why? You don't think it's delicious?"
Aside from the cake he had baked for his father, it was his first time to cook for someone else. Lin Yitian had thrown several 'failed' dishes into the trash before he was finally satisfied with what he had cooked.
Song Jia smiled. "It's very delicious. Thank you, Yitian."
Lin Yitian beamed back at her.
Song Jia ate while Lin Yitian watched her with a smile on his face. Most of the dishes were made of vegetables, and there was a plate of sliced fruits next to a cup of milk.
After Song Jia ate her breakfast, Lin Yitian personally put Song Jia's slippers for her. That was when Song Jia realized she was wearing new clothes, a set of pajamas that matched with Lin Yitian's.
She glanced up at Lin Yitian's foolishly happy face and decided that she didn't want to ask.
Because he knew her body was still sore, Lin Yitian eagerly asked Song Jia if she wanted him to carry her. Having no choice but to agree, Song Jia held her arms up in the air.
"Hug~"
Alright, this grandma also wanted to experience being carried like a princess.
In one fluid movement, Lin Yitian leaned down and carefully scooped her into his arms. Song Jia wrapped her arms around his neck. Lin Yitian couldn't help it. He kissed her, making sure he didn't go too deeply. Then he pulled away, blushing.
"Jia was too adorable just now, I couldn't resist," he told her honestly when she glared at him.
What else could Song Jia say? She could only purse her lips and pinch his cheek.
The two of them went out of the room, meeting Wang Han who was instructing the servants in the living room. When he saw the two of them, he immediately made all the servants leave.
"Second young master, Miss Su."
After Lin Yitian carefully laid her down on the couch, Song Jia looked around her with a frown.
"Eh? Why does the living room look so empty?" she asked.
"That's because we're changing the furniture, Miss Su," Wang Han quickly said. "Second young master thought all the furnitures were a bit old-fashioned, so we wanted to change them into something more modern."
The truth was, all the antiques in the mansion were destroyed by Lin Yitian. Most of them were priceless treasures, and couldn't be easily replaced. Wang Han could only make this kind of excuse so that Song Jia wouldn't become suspicious.
"Oh, I see," Song Jia nodded her head. "By the way, where's my sister?"
When Lin Yitian had questioned her at the hospital, Song Jia already knew that their plan of swapping with each other had been exposed. She also wanted to talk with Su Qi and know what happened for Lin Yitian to discover that she wasn't her.
At the mention of Su Qi, Lin Yitian's expression darkened. His lips tightly pressed together as he grabbed her wrist, as if he was afraid that she would run away. Wang Han saw his terrible expression and quickly left them.
"Jia, I sent her back home. I already broke our engagement with each other, so don't think of swapping with her again!"
Song Jia looked at him. Although Lin Yitian was doing a good job in hiding his inner panic, she could still see it. She remembered the scene of the car accident, and her mind produced a terrible guess.
"Yitian, the reason you were driving a car yesterday was to look for me, wasn't it?"
Lin Yitian immediately lied, "No, it wasn't."
Lin Yitian actually knew how to drive a car, but it was only in theory. He had never driven a car before because he found the outside world too distracting. It was also the reason why he got into a car accident so quickly.
Song Jia didn't press him. Lin Yitian wore his emotions on his sleeve, and even without him saying it, Song Jia could see the truth for herself.
She pulled her wrist from his grip and held his hand instead.
"Yitian, thank you." She smiled at him. "I won't leave without telling you again, I promise."
Since it came to this point, all Song Jia could do was to leave him good memories that he would cherish for a lifetime.
Lin Yitian knelt down and placed her hand on his cheek. He pressed a kiss on her palm. "Just don't leave, ever. Stay with me, Jia."
Song Jia's gaze sobered. She knew she wouldn't be able to promise him, so she suddenly faked a distressed look, putting a hand on her chest.
"Ow. My heart..."
Lin Yitian's face paled. "Jia? What's wrong? Does your heart hurt?"
He stood up, ready to rush her into the hospital at a moment's notice.
"My heart..." Song Jia blinked her eyes. "I think my heart's missing."
Lin Yitian looked at her, confused. "What do you mean?"
His mind went blank. Her heart was missing? How could that be possible?
Song Jia curved her eyes into smiling crescents. When she smiled, it seemed as if the sun itself had peeked from behind the clouds, dazzling Lin Yitian.
She continued, "I think my heart must be missing because you stole it from me, ah~"
Lin Yitian, "..."
He was struck speechless.
Looking at his stunned face, Song Jia wanted to laugh. She still wanted to repay him for calling her 'baby' a few months ago. Did he think he was the only one who could browse Baidu?
Lin Yitian's expression turned wooden. His voice was in monotone when he told her, "Jia, I'll get you some desserts from the kitchen."
He left the living room extremely quickly.
Song Jia's smile dropped as her cheeks turned red from embarrassment. Was it too cheesy?
After Wang Han left his two masters in the living room, he went into the kitchen to review their menu for lunch. He was shocked when Lin Yitian suddenly entered and ducked his head under the faucet, soaking his face in cold water.
"Second young master?!" Wang Han hurriedly offered him a clean towel to wipe his face.
Lin Yitian's dark hair was wet and scattered crystalline drops of water into little rivulets down his neck and shirt. His cheeks were flushed and the tips of his ears had turned red.
When Wang Han met his eyes, he found out that his second young master's gaze was filled with desperation.
"What do I do?" Lin Yitian's voice was hoarse. "Jia's too cute that I can't control myself."
Wang Han, "..."
He looked at the menu on his hand. He finally knew what they would eat for lunch.
It was dog food.
