At his true peak of strength, Xiao Ming would not dally long in a fight that he had planned ahead. He ambushed the beast but failed to kill it in one fell swoop because his energy was not sufficient to penetrate the tough back of the Hungry Moonlight Wolf.
He fumbled around his spatial pouch and retrieved a few silver colored spiritual fruits which he hastily chewed. The thick red blush on his face gradually faded out and it returned to his usual pale white appearance.
After killing the first Hungry Moonlight Wolf, Xiao Ming's extraction of the beast soul didn't cause a commotion. Not to mention dying silently, its body remained intact in a mummified state.
As long as a few days passed, one could not differentiate the corpse from a living beast with merely the physical eye. Xiao Ming snorted and took his leave after seeing to any other matters he had with the dead beast.
